This is the very first official gathering, called in by Silverstar. Only warriors and apprentices are allowed to go to gatherings. LionClan and TigerClan, come quickly.

Flamepelt paced impatiently around the Great Rock. When would the other clans get here! Surely they would want to know what was going on? Surely they would get here quickly?*

Silverstar paced over to the Great Rock, nodding to Flamepelt. He knew that the two other clans would want to come as soon as possible. He felt his fur on end. Though gatherings were always times of peace, he always thought the other clans would use the opportunity to attack.
Shaking off the feeling, Silverstar leaped up onto the Great Rock, waiting for LionClan and TigerClan to show.

Leapingpaw looked around, excitement tingling his paws. This was the first time he got to go to the gathering. But he didn't like how long the other clans were taking to get there.
"What's taking them so long, Riverstrike?" he asked his mentor in a low voice.

Whitestar finally came into view with TigerClan. She leapt onto the rock. "Greetings, Silverstar," she said, dipping her head, "Sorry we're late."

Sunfur crouched near the Great Rock, keeping her eyes out for any of LionClan. It would be just like them to show up late as if they owned the forest.
She glanced at the white tiger that was the leader of TigerClan. Whitestar was an impressive sight, sitting next to Silverstar.

Silverstar dipped his head to the TigerClan leader.
"That's quite all right, Whitestar," he replied. "I'm just glad you could make it. And hopefully this will be quick. What I have to say is a matter of great importance."

"Sorry i'm late, sorry I'm late." Sunstar yelled as she ran into the fourtrees, her paws barely making any sound. She jumped up gracefully, and said "I apoligize for making you wait. the hunting party was a little late." She said as a excuse."The meeting can begin now." She said slightly out of breath.

Thunderleap lead the clan up to clearing and sat down with the other two deputies. He wondered what Silverstar wanted to say. Was it something about the lack of prey? Did he know what was going on?

Tumblepaw sat down near Thunderleap, feeling rather odd. He had almost never gone anywhere without his sister before. Especially important things like this. He knew she was probablly going to ignore him when he got back to camp.

Lightningpaw excitedly sat down next to Tumblepaw.
"I've never been to the gathering before," he whispered to his denmate. "I wonder what Silverstar wants?"

Silverstar nodded to Sunstar and Whitestar before padding forward.
"Cats of all clans, I'm glad you could all make it," he called to the cats gathered below. "I think we all know why I have called you all here. It is the middle of Greenleaf, and yet there has been less prey than ever before. The weather is not harsh and the fields are green, and yet hunting has been harder than ever."
He turned to look at Whitestar and Sunstar. "I assume it has been the same for you as well?" he asked the two she-cats.

Whitestar sighed. "My hunting patrols come back with hardly enough to feed the elders," she said, "I thought it was just my clan, but it is very worrying to know that you two are having the same problem."

Silverstar nodded, as if something was confirmed.
"There is no easy answer to our problem," he announced. "And no easy solution. But that's the reason why I have called you here today. Tiger, Leopard, and Lion must unite in order to think of a plan. First of all, we have to find out what's causing this problem."
He looked back at Whitestar and Sunstar, pausing to see if either of them had any ideas.
