For some reason, Wilson felt happier than usual. Normally a small smile often adorned his face, today his smile was extra large—it made Gramps wonder if his face was going to rip. [Hey Youngin’, you feeling alright? You seem extra perky today, and it’s kind of unusual…] As the weapon’s voice trailed off, Wilson laughed loudly. “Ha ha ha! That’s funny, Gramps. Why wouldn’t I be perky?” The man was only met with silence. Perhaps the weapon was too startled by the fact that his partner had bothered to answer him aloud rather than mentally, just like the usual.
His extra joy was also probably why he was walking around the island backwards, except there was a certain happy bounce to his step. [What is wrong with you, boil?] “There’s nothing wrong!” Wilson chirped. Lifting his head to the sky, he placed a finger to his lips as he began to muse. “I’m kind of thirsty. I think I’ll go to the cafeteria!” He spun around to get a better bearing of his location before returning to his backwards walking. The trainee began to hum holidays tunes, but soon enough he was singing aloud. [AGH NO YOUNGIN’ STOP STOP STOP—]
“Oh the weather outside is frightful~ But the fire inside is so delightful~ And since we’re no place to go. Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow~” Then he bumped into someone and he looked behind. “Oh, sorry!”

"Cheestnuts roasting on an ooopen fiiiire, JAAACK FROOOST NIPPING AT YOUR NOOOOOOSE Yuletide carols BEING SUNG BY A CHOIIIIRRR!........OH! OH! JERRRY! CHOOOIIRRR WHERE ARE YO--OOPS!"
Minnie could NOT have been in a better mood! She was singing and dancing, skipping down the halls with her arms floating at her side; daintily moving about the facility while her voice overpowered the soft cries of her weapon.
Oh how punny Blythe could be! But what her weapon couldn't understand was that.. well.. She couldn't stop. Not even if she wanted to! And if Blythe knew what was good for her, she'd just join in instead of ruining the woman's fun!
In a right state of mind she might have been surprised by Wilson's run in. What, he hadn't heard her coming? Even if his back was turned, her voice (no matter how sensual it could be) was far too loud and overbearing to be ignored. But in the state she was in, that euphoric and uncontrollable state, the one that felt oh so right in oh so many ways.. all the trainee could do was twirl about with her hazel eyes wide.
"Hey!" She started, lips kept slightly open in her surprise. It soon led to a gasp of realization, and then just as suddenly as the boy had run into her Minerva's arms were around him with a little hop. "HEEEEEEY! It's you! I haven't seen you in forever!" How long had it been anyway? Oh who cared! "You're looking so great! Were you just singing? What was it.. Let it snow right? I LOVE that song!" Minerva never spoke this much. She. Never. Spoke. This. Much.
"Dasher and Danser and Prancer and Vixen!.. Oh wait, that's the Rudolph one! I like that one too!"
Blythe wasn't even able to get a word in otherwise. Not one that the trainee would hear, anyway.
"Hey! Where were you going? Sorry about running into you like that!"

His expression brightened when he realized who exactly he had bumped into you. “Minnie!” [Wait, I thought her name was Minerva or something like that. When did she say Minni—] Gramps’ words fell on deaf ears as Wilson happily returned the hug with one of his own. “I know, right? I think I haven’t seen you since that lecture with Dr. H and—god did the doctor scare me with that gun of his. Hahaha!” Technically, not the gun itself, but what the Life hunter had down with it.
Beaming widely, Wilson nodded his head. “Mmhm! You do? I love it too! Well, I guess that’s sort of why I was singing it in the first place.” Wilson laughed again. Okay, this was creeping out his partner way too much. “Oh! Rudolph? I know the lyrics to that one too! Okay, how did it go again? Uhhhh. Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer had a very shiny nose~ And if you ever saw him, you would even saw it glows~” Thank God for everyone Wilson wasn’t a terrible singer or he would be driving people off the walls.
Then he snapped his fingers at her question, his mouth forming a small ‘o’ shape. “Oh, that’s right! I was going somewhere, huh? I was going to the cafeteria to get a drink! Maybe some tea.” Wilson paused. “Or maybe hot chocolate. Or maybe both!” He shook his head and patted Minerva on the shoulder. “No need to apologize! I should’ve been paying attention to, walking backwards or not.” He leaned back and offered an arm to Minvera. “Anyways, are you going anywhere in particular? Otherwise I would love some company.”

To the Dr. H comment, Minerva shuddered. He was a strange man indeed.. admirable in an equally strange way, but all around not the kind of company she aimed for. Wilson, however, was kind and cool guy, and.. he was a good singer?! "WOW!" She chirped quickly, "That sounded so great!" but she soon fell silent with a finger to her lips as the other trainee continued.
His shoulder pat and extended arm were obviously welcomed as Minerva latched on without pause. Listening was still not an issue for the woman, her ears tuned in to Wilson's every word.. particularly focused when he mentioned the walking backwards bit. Hadn't that come up some time ago? Yeah! It did! In the classroom when he caught her chewing away on her hands! She gave him a startled sideways glance, whipping her head to look up at him at the last minute. "So you do walk backwards! I thought you were only being nice!" Lifting one of her hands away from his arm, Minnie showed off her index finger and the raw flesh surrounding the nail. "Habits can be so painful! But at least we get to hang out now because of your habit!" Then when her fingers laced around Wilson once again, Minnie looked straight ahead and rose up onto her toes.
"Nope! I was just around. I'm so wired up all of the time now that I just need to get out of the room for a stretch!" The woman paused to drop back on her heels. "Tea would be lovely right about now!! I could also use the conversation!~ Lead on?"

Wilson did not like Dr. H. Period. While he definitely respected him—H was the Life division leader for a reason—he decided it would be best to avoid the man as much as possible. And Caelius. Hopefully the other division leaders were more tolerable than those two. Wilson was almost sparkling at the compliment, almost. He was not a vampire. “Really? Thank you!”
He grinned when she happily took his arm, but a curious expression quickly replaced it when she mentioned his backwards habit. “Of course I do.” The trainee looked visibly hurt. “Did you think I was lying? W-Why would I lie…?” Wilson gasped when Minerva showed him her finger. He reached out to grab it and kiss it. Kisses made everything better! “Your poor fingers. You need to treat them with more love.” Frowning, he nodded his head knowingly. Love fixed everything.
“Yay! I know, right? The island’s gotten so cold because of the snow, so a warm drink is always good.” He nodded his head matter-of-factly. Wilson gladly led them both toward the cafeteria, but once they began to strike up conversation again he slipped out of her grasp to walk in front of her, doing his usual backwards walking. “Did you get snow where you lived? I did. I loved having snow days!”

"No! I would never accuse anyone of lying if I didn't have proof! I just.. you know.. thought you were being nic--" Oh! Oh my!
?!??!?!?? ASHIGOJLEKJW!>
The kiss was innocent. She knew exactly why he had done it even before the man uttered a word, hazel eyes going from the olive skin to the other trainee's face and back. Minerva didn't take it as anything but a kindly gesture.. however, the tingling feeling that was left in Wilson's wake certainly stirred up those lovey-dovey emotions that went along with holiday cheer. The silence around them was filled with nervous giggles, her face lighting up. For but a moment a single finger lingered near the base of her lips, threatening to inch beneath her teeth.. but his comment dropped the entire arm to her side.
"Yes! You're right, I'll try to work on it~!" The end of that was sung aloud, a smile and a brow lift offered to the other trainee as he positioned himself in front of her. "Some years were better than others, actually! We did get snow, but sometimes it was just slush on the side of the road blackened by taxi tires and the city sewage. I looooved snow days as a kid though, oh my god! They were so much fun!!" As they neared the cafeteria, Minnie's mind started to drift some (which it usually never did) onto the topic of tea and what kinds the facility might have.
"It has been pretty cold around here though! I'm so glad I spent some money on myself during my shopping trip.. a nice cup of tea will do us some good!"
"I'm sorry I didn't get you anything this year, Wilson." She added in quickly after, biting at her lip while simultaneously trying to poke it out for a pout. Blythe wailed angrily, not at all pleased with the boys actions and the kiss and Minerva's over the top excitement. But the woman simply looked on with her eyes wide and extremely apologetic; ignoring the weapon's temper-tantrum. She really DID feel bad about not getting him anything. Well, aside from the candy she got en masse for everyone on the island.

“Hm?” He stared down at Minerva with questioning eyes after he gently kissed her fingers. Did Wilson do something wrong? [Well, judging by that lovey dovey look in her eyes…] The trainee mentally waved it off and chocked it up to the weapon’s wild imaginations. That couldn’t be it. It was just a kiss to make the injuries on her finger less painful. His mother did it all the time—even when he had grown out of such things. Wilson appeared satisfied by her vow to try to work on it. “That’s good! It’s not good to have those kinds of habits, you know.” Perhaps it wasn’t intelligent to walk around backwards, either, but no one had complained yet.
“Slush?” He sounded horrified at the thought. “We always got snow. Sometimes more, sometimes less, but always a sufficient amount of snow to play in.” His lips curled into a grin as he fondly recounted days of building armies of snowmen, forts, and hours of snowball fights. Those were the good days—especially when it snowed enough to call off school.
Wilson’s expression turned thoughtful as he recalled his own stash of money given to him by the facility. “Oh yeah, I’d nearly forgotten we had. I’ll need to go shopping soon.” He nodded and made a mental note to visit the outside world and do some holiday shopping. The first thing would be to buy presents for his friends, and perhaps if there was leftover money he would get something for himself. He laughed and waved it off. “That’s alright! We haven’t really seen each other since the lecture, so I’m not mad in the slightest!” he reassured her.
Once the cafeteria was in sight, Wilson smiled and strolled inside. “I haven’t had tea here yet. I usually just have juice or coffee. Do you know what kinds they have?” He walked over to the kitchen and peeked inside, wondering where exactly the staff stored the tea bags.

"Yeah," Minnie confirmed, grimacing along with Wilson's reaction. There were far too many occasions where the young death trainee had slipped and fallen on her rear while walking home from school...and the stains a tumble left were never easy to clean. "When we did have snow snow, it was the absolute best!"
While it was nice to hope for a gift from the boy, Minerva's only response to him before they reached the cafeteria was a pleasant smile and a flutter of her lashes--which, if Wilson chose to perceive as such, would be highly suggestive of this fact. She may have also breathed out in relief just before speaking up again, however that could be taken in many lights as the smell of food wafted in the air. "MmmmmMMmmMMmm" The woman thrummed as she passed the other trainee and moved forward with long and whimsical strides. She would have twirled and danced her way to the drink station if Wilson hadn't spoken up.
"Hrm?~ You know what I haven't had any here yet either!" And now that she thought about it..........
...
...
Having turned to face him, it was clear that something had suddenly begun to bother her as the elatedness drained from her flushed red cheeks. The once curling lips had now turned south as her brows furrowed and the overall look resonated a sense of sadness that was, perhaps, a bit overdone. But would he notice? Hopefully not. The JOY sort of did that to them..."Oh god, do you think they even have tea?!" ...They had to! They just had to!
RIGHT?! But what if they didn't? She hadn't even bothered to check or ask!...
Without another word, and obviously without much thought, Minerva reached forward to grab hold of Wilson by the hand, readying to racing across the cafeteria linoleum toward the front counter. "THERE?!" Her voice boomed almost accusingly as a double-take landed her hazel gaze on a wicker basket, thrusting a free finger forward before tugging at the trainee again. Tea was a pretty prestigious drink right? People usually kept the bags in nice containers, like that one there, and almost EVERY cafeteria had to offer tea if they had coffee, right? For this particular occasion it seemed to work out that way.
Several white strings attached to several square packages awaited them, all neatly kept organized by name. "AH HAH! Look at that Wilson we found it!" Excitedly the woman brought herself forward and lifted the entire basket to her nose, tilting it his way before searching for cups. "They have quite a few don't they! Oh man look, Earl Grey, Peach flavored, Orange Spice!!!!" Minerva loved tea...was that not obvious? "Which do you like Wilson? I'll make some for the two of us if you'll find a place to sit?" For a slit second she turned to give him her full attention, a smile filling out her cheeks, just before she busily sifted through the packages. Syusaki ;3; Sorry it has taken me FOREVER!

“Of course it was the absolute best! Why wouldn’t it be?” Wilson grinned. Was he a bit too biased about snowy weather? Perhaps he was, but he had lived with chilly winters for many years. It was probably essential to attain a certain fondness for snow and ice if he wanted to survive through winter and not be grouchy.
Unfortunately, Wilson wasn’t always the most observant person around. While he did notice the unusually quick successions of blinking from Minerva, the intended message totally flew over his head. What was the fluttering of her lashes supposed to mean? Was she trying to make goo goo eyes at something? Had there been something in her eye—a piece of dust maybe? Fortunately for Minerva, Wilson had already intended to find her a gift when he finally found the time to visit the outside world for some holiday shopping. Their current meeting would make it so.
“Hm?” He remained calmly questioning when Minerva turned to face him. Had he said something wrong? Perhaps a brilliant idea had struck her. Those were the thoughts that ran through his head before he noticed the noticeable lack of happiness. “What’s wrong…?” Wilson and Minerva were obviously not meant to be brain twins because the idea of having no tea seemed unfathomable to him. “What. What no! Of course they have tea!” Admittedly, Wilson had never bothered to search for tea in the kitchen until now, but why wouldn’t they have it? It was pretty silly to discriminate against a fairly common beverage. They would have it…right? Regardless of his certainty, the idea had placed a seed of doubt in his thoughts. He let out a small, surprised “Woah” as Minerva grabbed his hand and tugged him forward, forcefully dragging him across the floor toward the kitchen there.
Wilson laughed when Minerva discovered the basket of tea bags and brought the container close to her face. Apparently she was a tea fanatic. He was baffled by her question. What kind? He didn’t know what kind. Usually Wilson had water or juice, not tea. “Um…” Wilson walked over to the basket and looked inside, rifling through the packets until he pulled one out with a familiar flavor, an old time favorite of his. “Green tea.” He smiled sheepishly. How Asian of him.
"I'll go find us a table then," he said once he handed her the tea bag. Shouldn't be too difficult, given that they were the only two people here at the moment.

She gave Wilson a long, puzzled look over one shoulder. It was fleeting, made only in response to his choice, and was quickly shrugged off as soon as he turned his back to her. "Alright, no problem! Green tea, coming up!"
The trainee snatched up the essentials needed and didn't even bother to search the counters for a hot-water vendor. Too much work. It would take too much time. Just heat up some water in a microwave. Vanishing behind the kitchen door, it wasn't long before a muffled 'OW' could be heard, followed by Minnie's curly head pushing through to the main hall once more.
"Okay be careful with these!" She said loud enough to cause an echo. The room had seemed a bit busier when they had first entered...hm...strange.
Placing a napkin, the bag, and Wilson's cup in front of him, she then set her own things down and took a seat across the table. "It's really hot." She stretched her hand toward the other trainee to show off a freshly burnt palm. A part of her second guessed the action, while the joyous part of her hoped he would kiss the wound better...again.
Unfortunately, Blythe's screaming wouldn't quit until the trainee sunk back into her seat, hands laced together. Kiss less. "I'll be okay though, don't worry." Waving off any concern there might be, Minerva began dunking her tea bag into the cup idly.
"So..." She chirped, leaning forward onto her elbows while the tea soaked. "How have you been adjusting?! I can't even tell you how much I love this place right now...I don't know why...it's just...ugh. You know I absolutely love the holidays. I remember when my mom used to make us tea and cookies, and we would stay up really late watching Christmas movies waiting for Ol'Chris Kringle to come sliding down our chimney." Her curls shook with a light chuckle, despite her features growing a bit serious.
"Although I always thought that was kind of a dangerous habit. He probably should have invested in a skeleton key or something, you know?"
Minnie brought the cup to her nose then, sniffing the air above it. It smelled hot...but it also smelled so good. And with all the excitement building up within her, it was really hard to resist the things that smelled good. Or felt good. Or were just known to be good.
She would tempt fate by testing the taste. She would then regret it after the tip of her tongue began to burn. "Ooh, yikes. Still hot..." Syusaki Omg 5 AM post. Pardon the sloppiness ;3;

Once the other trainee disappeared into the kitchen, Wilson headed toward the first empty table he saw. Unlike some of the others, it was devoid of abandoned trash and lacked recent food stains. He smiled amiably as he idly tapped his fingers against the table to create the beat of various Christmas tunes while he hummed along. Gramps groaned a raspy groan inside the hunter’s head. He sat up straight when he heard a quiet shout behind the door, but the following silence convinced him to remain seated. Minnie called out, her voice bouncing off the walls as she walked toward the table and placed down the cup of tea.
“Thank you, I will!” he chirped as he reached for the steaming cup, bag, and napkin. Once the water was in front of him, he looked at Minnie’s outstretched hand while lowering the bag into the cup, the steam warming his face as it swirled about. Wilson frowned, began to reach for the hand to obviously kiss it to make it better, but she had already folded her hands together. Wilson quizzically stared before lightly moving his cup in circles to let the solution even out before he took a tiny sip from it.
“Oh, pretty well! The people here are really nice and it doesn’t seem so bad aside from the rough mission here or there, but nothing I can’t stand!” Wilson answered. “You know, my mom liked to bake cookies for the family too. She would always make a bunch of different cookies before Christmas. Can you imagine, I would always eat them all! Well, maybe that’s an exaggeration, but I would always eat most of it. I loved my mother’s cookies.”
He turned thoughtful at her question. Wilson took another sip of tea. “That is an interesting point, but I find it hard to believe that he could use only a few keys to get into all of the houses, wouldn’t you agree?” He frowned again and would have leaned over to obviously kiss Minnie to make it all better, but then Gramps screamed. [NO, THAT’S IT YOUNGIN’. I’VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOUR SHENANIGANS. WE’RE BUSTING OUT OF HERE. WE’RE CUTTING IT. OUT. NOW.] Wilson winced, bringing a hand to his head.Shia bean It's been a while, so wanna wrap this up? We can always start a new RP * v*

"Oh I can believe it! I used to--um..." Minerva paused mid-sip, suddenly a bit less joyous and a smidge more concerned. Was it something she had said? "Are you alright?"
Alarmed by his hand-to-head gesture, Minnie set her cup down, rose to her feet and slid around the table to Wilson's side. Placing a hand upon his shoulder, "Was it the tea? I warned you it would be hot!" She leaned in briefly, getting a look at his face before stepping back to rub at her own arm. "I'm really sorry! I should have checked the temperature first. Maybe you should, um, take a nap or something?"
