 This was so much... Fun!
Ikeru was running happily, stretching his little legs, happy to be free of the small blanket he'd had before, his mane flickering and dancing as he ran, flaring up as he willed it. He grinned as he headed into the crops of a human tribe, near his mother's home. She'd let him go off on his own, and told him that here was a great place to play and the flames would upset the ugly humans, maybe even drive them away. He laughed as he paused, and whirled around, to watch the flames dance and whisper beautiful nothings to him. "Ah... such a beautiful sight..." he smiled to himself.

 Dark Ion  Eric Northman  Taw Taronyo And Ed were lounging in the field feeling themselves out after the rescent rapidfire bondings that had occurred. Eric lifted his head from the discussion and occasional bickering to sniff the air. "Looking for your next victim vampire?" Taw asked. "No Toruk, I smell smoke alot of it."Ed rolled up and leaped onto Ion, who was the least edgy out of the group and they trotted over to investigate. What they found was an odd fiery foal... "Arn't foals supposed to have tails?" Eric asked in plain hearing range of the little fireblazer. (don't pay attention to sizes)

Ikeru paused in his self-back patting, and then glanced over at a trio of much-larger Azrein. And one ugly human. He turned about face, to look at them head on, red eyes steady as he smirked. "Not me...Why would I need a tail?" he asked as he stepped closer, quietly, banking his flames for a moment. "Why do you have a human here, older ones? That is an ugly thing..." he growled softly, looking at the male human, eyes narrowed.

Eric snorted "Tell me about it."
Ion cuffed him. "Be nice fangy."
"How dare you call me fangy?!"
Taw rolled his eyes.
Ed looked askance at the foal. "I take it you dont like humans huh? Well I'm afraid you will see many more if they catch you lighting these fields on fire. You know this feeds other azrein right?"

At that, Ikeru looked at Eric a bit more favorably. "You agree? Why travel with something so ugly? And you, human, have no right to speak to me. But yes, humans and Azrein feed off these oats alike... But we can live off of much simpler fare..." Ikeru murmured softly, looking away quietly. He Hadn't thought of that...

"Much simpler fare....like fish? Blegh." Taw put in.
"You think fish is simpler?"
"It probably wouldn't get stuck in my teeth like grain does."
Eric smiled at the foal. He liked him some...although he was isulting Edward something awful..but the man had bonded to two others so Eric would let him continue...for a while.
Ion nibbled an itch and then went to put out a fire nearby. His family was to close for him to let a fire continue to burn. He stomped it out with a well placed hoof. Taw pounced on a larger fire nearby. Eric stayed, for one thing he hated fire for another he would do better over here.

"You eat fish? How weird...And I prefer to eat burnt grass and such. It tastes better..." he smirked, and then cast a withering glare at Ion as he put out one of the fires he'd started. Ikeru wrinkled his little snout, and then snorted a bit, tossing his head. "You! why'd you put that out? You're messing up my work!"

"No we don't eat fish, I was trying to think of something simpler then grain."
"I'm putting it out because my family lives close to here. You wouldn't want to be responsible for thier deaths would you?"
Taw pounced on another fire.
Eric continued to talk while Edward wisely remained quiet.
"Who taught you to hate humans so? Or have you had a bad encounter?"

"My mommy taught me that... and she had a bad experience as a foal...they killed her deer friend... and then ate her!" Ikeru grumbled angrily, and then glared at the human. "He's probably gonna eat your foals or something..."

"I don't eat deer. I eat cow...and I definately don't eat foals. Your too gamey...."
Taw nudged him with his huge head and Edward almost fell over. "What I was kidding!"
"He doesn't know that."
"What is your mother's name?" asked Eric.
Ion's ears perked up at this.
"I wish humans were not so careless about who azrein might be friends with."
"Don't we all?"

"He's... kidding right? I... don't want to be eaten!" Ikeru exclaimed, quite alarmed as he backed away. "Her name's Vira... She looks like me, but a girl and no flames... I got my daddy's fire!" he smiled proudly, making his flames flare.

Eric grinned. "That is most excellent Ikeru, I got my Dad's smile...well besides the fangs."
All the fires were put out now. And Edward was pleased with how Eric of all Azrein was working with the foal.

Ikeru narrowed his eyes on Eric, before turning around.
All his beautiful fires... Extinguished! The other two must have done it... Why? Why kill those beautiful tongues of flame that whispered so prettily in his young ears?
Ikeru whirled on Ed, and narrowed his eyes as the flames at his back grew, and crackled, hissing angrily, and he stomped his small hooves. "You... you bully! Those two... they killed my pretty fire! You put them up to it! Momma was right- humans kill all the beautiful things in life!" he shouted, and tossed his head, ears back as he got ready to charge the human.

"I didn't tell them to put it out, they did it on their own. Ion wants to keep his family safe. He has foals, and they are not fire proof. You have seen what happens to things that are not fireproof. Look at the grass." Edward was standing beside Eric and so was well protected even with the other two walking back to him.

Ikeru glared at him, and then at Eric, before charging at the vampiric stallion, angrily. "I don't like you or your human... and if they're not fireproof, that's not my problem!" he grumbled angrily as he moved towards the larger stallion at a sluggish, but sturdy pace.
