So the last mission hadn't gone too catastrophically. In fact, it had been a pretty big success, considering Reine had learned to bake cookies, and they had turned out actually tasting good. Probably. Reine had nibbled at a little bit of one, and it hadn't made her sick or anything- and, they didn't seem to have the effects that the cafeteria ones did, because she wasn't feeling super happy or anything!
Which explained why she was skipping down the hallway, a bag of cookies in hand, singing a christmas carol loudly as she headed to Jude's room. Wasn't Christmas amazing? Christmas was the best! When else would they get so much freedom? Reine was almost itching to go out to shop again, but she had just about exhausted all her funds. Oh well!
"Juuuuuuuuuuude!" She knocked on his door, in a 'jingle bells' rhythm that had been completely unintended. "You hereeeee?"
((COOKIE STATUS EFFECT: - For anyone who has one of Reine's cookies, you will suddenly feel as if Christmas is the best thing ever, and not only that but an elevated sense of joy. Oddly enough, they might even want to break out in song, as if everything rhyming would make everything better.))

Jude was in his room feeling uncontrollable, unrestrained Joy. Happiness. He wasn't sure how it happened or why. He just knew that he just ... loved everything especially Christmas. Suddenly it was just the best, very best thing ever. He was reading a small book about touching Christmas stories when there was a sudden knock on his door.
What's this? A guest? The book was thrown onto the bed behind him as he hopped off the bed and scampered toward the door and pulled it open. First thing Reine'd notice is that Jude suddenly had a change of hairstyle. Secondly? Jude was grinning from ear to ear at her.
"Reine! So lovely to see you! I missed you," he said in quite a chipper and animated tone. "Come on in!" Jude shuffled a bit toward the side to allow Reine entry into his room.

"HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!" Reine was barreling towards him, wrapping her arms around him in a bear hug. Jude looked so cheerful today! Well- everyone was looking happy so it was kind of moot, but yay happiness! Yay everything! YAY CHRISTMAS.
Speaking of christmas, she had cookies for him! Pulling away, Reine practically bounced past Jude and onto his bed, jumping up and down. She wouldn't do this on her own bed, of course, but Jude's was fair game.
"IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS, JUUUUUUDE." The book he'd left on the bed clattered to the floor, and Reine bounced over to pick it up. Christmas stories? She approved. A+++. "SO I MADE YOU SOME COOKIES." Finally settling down on a chair, she held the bag out to him.
"YOU SHOULD TRY THEM."

Jude hugged her back quite happily and then watched her as she bounced off and onto his bed giving off an amused laugh as he his head moved to follow in time to her bouncing. She certainly seemed energetic but then so was he!
Huzzah!
"It is! So exciting, I haven't celebrated Christmas in forever." He chimed back at her and then moved over to her when she sat down and handed the bag to them demanding he should try them, most of the time Jude might have hesitated but today it was a different Jude.
Thus he took the bag took out a cookie and began to eat it straight away, "Hey! Thi'ish is'h good!"
Apparently Jude high on JOY lacked manners.

"ME TOOOO, ME TOO ME TOOOOO." Reine gave him the saddest puppy face she could. She'd celebrated quietly with her family every year she could, but when she went to college in a different state, she hadn't managed to go back to see them as much as she would have liked, including the last two Christmases.
"It's going to be the most amazing thing EVER, Jude, I just know it! I mean I don't even know what we're going to do on the island and stuff but what could really go wrong, right, it's Christmas!!" It was likely she would regret thinking this later, but for now she was content with watching him eat the cookies.
Obviously she had already taste-tested them to be sure of quality, and she merely gave Jude a knowing grin when he complimented them.
"I helped Julie bake," she revealed, beaming. "It was really really fun!"

Jude generally hated Christmas with only a few good years that he could recall but right now he loved the holiday and everything about it.
He beamed happily as he ate more of the cookies. They were really good! Jude loved cookies and Reine cookies and Reine. He loved Reine. She was awesome she brought him cookies! She was the best Reine ever!
"Nothing will go wrong! That is the answer," he said as sagely as possible after he had swallowed down his current mouthful of cookies. "I never really baked before. Was it really that fun? Was there dancing and singing?"
Dancing and singing seemed to be the most awesome thing to do WHILE baking.
