The Wolf boy had gone for a long run around ‘Requiem Lake'. Something he was getting use to doing. July was spending some time with Temperance Artz new wife, on the ‘Night Family Farm'. If July trusted her, so would he. He wasn't ready to go home yet. He still had a good thirty minutes left of sun so he ran out to the dock. Once there he slowly walked to the middle and looked west, south. He stared out at the home owned by a man name Aden. He never met him. All he knew is who ever he was he had a lot of money to be able to buy out all this land. Artz put out alot of money to buy there home. He could see some lights. He couldn't really see anyone in the house. He didn't care about the whys or the whats. Living on this lake made Lincoln feel alive and free so he was happy to move here.

He turned away from looking at the home to the water. The lake itself amazed the boy. The water that moves through the lake is fresh and clean. He got down on his knees and leaned his body out over the water. He cupped his hands out and made them into a bowl shape. He was going to just splash his hands right in but he felt slightly reserved. So he uncupped his hands and slightly brushed his left index finger over the water. It was slightly cold, a bit too cold to just go swimming in. He then cupped his hands once more allowing the water to overflow so he could sip the water. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath in. He was truly at ease with nature. He started to grin, something he wasn't use to doing naturally. Yes he could get use to this.

He was about to get up when he thought he saw something in the water like a small light. He sniffed a few times, but he coudn't smell whats under water. He tried glaring his eyes, but by the time he did he coudn't see what he thought he saw. He chuckled to himself. He decided to sit and dabbled his toes. He definitely wasn't going to tell July about the light he thought he saw , since she already thinks hes going a little nutty with all his natrue talk. He leaned back resting on the dock, he flicked his feet over the water and started to hum a little song.

The shadow under the water, one that was giving off faint lights of three different neon colors paused to look up at the boy... and then it moved on toward where it could sense the fish at. There were so many in the lake of so many different types that he just couldn't resist chasing after them, wanting to eat them all up! Something the beast was told it was allowed to do so long as it didn't eat up the few people that were allowed near the lake. It was a deal worth making.

Overhead was another form, another shadow, and one that also gave off a bright color. Just one, that of a bright neon green, and he went buzzing by Lincoln before he circled back around, curiosity in his eyes. He had barely seen him in passing but he'd almost swear that he'd seen cat ears! Perhaps now was the time? He'd finally found the familiar that he'd been searching for? And so close to home how lucky would that be! He landed not to far from the other boy on teh dock, abandoning his broom which just set to sweeping along on its own, cleaning the dock while leaving behind a glowing green stain, while Midori all but rushed the other boy and demanded of him, "Are you a cat!?"

It wasn't exactly the best way to introduce yourself to a neighbor but it was something he had to know, likely the most important thing in the entire world since the invention of no run panty hose! If you asked the rather strangely dressed young witch boy that was...

The wolf boy nearly jumped out of his skin. He pounced up into the air with limber grace than landed on his feet in a excellent show of control. He adjusted his clothes and shook his jet black hair back in place "Are you competent? Since any competent person wouldn't sneak up on someone they don't know, than ask such a rude question" he howled slightly. "A cat , I look nothing like a cat, I am clearly a wolf" he lifted his head stuck his nose in the air. He looked around "I assume you live with the man who lives across the river, I didn't realize he had more than one child, clearly he wouldn't want to show off such a rude child" he snubbed. The black hair child turned around using the ball socket in his feet "A cat" he huffed as he pranced off.

What would he do? Go climb a tree, or check on Mr and Miss. Capino. They always have entertaining activities. He liked learning yoga from Miss. Capino and Mr. Capino is an expert in self defense. Not only do they have great skill sets but they also provided scrumptious food. He decided to climb a tree, and if there was nothing going on in the wild he would go to the Capino house hold. As he climbed the tree he could sense someone following him "You’re not invited to follow me, I am enjoying some alone time" he stated in such a rude and up tight voice. He climbed higher in the tree but it was useless, the child's floating device gave him an unfair advantage. Lincoln didn't enjoy the instance bristles of the tree he was climbing, so he climbed the outskirts making him easy to spot. He tried to get in closer to the center of the tree but he couldn’t stand the tree poking him in the face. Why couldn’t there be more deciduous trees and less bristle trees. There are few really good climbing trees in the woods but they are all bare at this time of year, not good for hiding. “I don’t understand people like you who insist on enforcing company on someone not looking for company. My friend July would find you most” he stopped himself and thought for a moment ‘Well July might actually like the boy, he appears to dress in modern witch wear’ Link thought to himself. Being half sorceress July often gravities to people of magic. Witch craft never appealed to the wolf, he finds himself enjoying nature non-manipulated.

Link pondered to himself making large exaggerated facial expressions. After much debate he decided if he could introduce this green hair boy to July, and if July liked him he could win some brownie points with her. This meant Link would tolerate spending time with the boy floating on a broom. After a good amount of time passed he said “She would find you interesting” and if she didn’t Link would dump him like an anchor. His tune now changed “Did you know that more than hundred different wild species of animals live here, most of them being birds, but I have spotted two different breeds of fox. My favorites are the squirrels and chipmunks. I have only spotted one type of chipmunk but there are two breeds of squirrel ‘gray’ and ‘brown’” he stated in a chipper voice than before.

"A wolf?" Midori murmured, then looked a moment alltogether disappointed. So he was a wolf then, that was to bad. He had really hoped that he had finally found himself a cat worthy of being his familiar but it would appear as though he weren't as fortunate as that. Instead he came across the exact opposite of what he was looking for, a canine boy, "I see." He said, trying not to sound as he felt given that he didn't want to insult the dog any further. Wait, wolf. He was sure calling a wolf a dog would be something that would insult him he reminded himself before watching as the wolf... well brat really, walked off saying that he was a rude child Aden didn't want to show off. As if Midori wanted that doofus of a father of his to show him off as though he were some sort of show animal...

Giving a huffing sound he snapped at his broom, making it follow along after him, so that he could chase after the dog brat, "You know not everyone wants to be shown off, especially me and by that idiot of a father I have!" He told the other boy, wanting him to know full well that Midori was no show animal! As the other boy told him he wasn't invited to follow him he gave a snort, "Who would want to follow you? You are dumb as any other dog." He said, his eyes narrowing a little as he reached out for his broom to take hold of it, pulling it over to him, wanting to leave then and there. Why should he stay here with some lone wolf? He wanted to have fun! Wanted to hang out with someone that wanted to have him around, not be stuck with some grouchy dog that didn't want company and instead wanted to skulk around in the dark on his own, "The only way I would insist upon 'enforcing company' on you was if you were a cat! And since you're not..." He gave a shrug of his shoulders, deciding that perhaps he should be on his way, better then hanging out with this guy!

Just as he were about to go though the wolf boy started to talk about animals, those that lived around this area, and sounded a touch less... well off putting. His voice had even changed making him sound a little more chipper. So he liked other animals then, just not other people? That was an interesting thought. Midori couldn't say he blamed him, there were a lot of dumb people in the world after all, a lot of which Midori knew and lived with. It was why he was so happy with his broom, it was a perfect creation that allowed for him to escape anytime he wanted a bit of time to himself. Which was often, "Huh... can't say I pay attention to a lot of animals, there are only two kinds I am looking for at the moment that being a cat and a crow." He informed the wolf, wondering for a moment if this kid could bring him to where he could find himself a crow familiar.

He placed his hand on his chin “Nope can’t say I have seen crows around here” he looked stumped “ I think I have seen them closer to outskirts of cities and for sure a good group of them in Durem but I can’t say I have seen crows here” he gave coincident eye contact. “I think the closet thing we have to a medium or large size birds are eagles and owls, I would say more barn owls than anything else” he stated. He inched a bit closer to Midori “Have you been to the Aekea human society they have plenty of cats there. Not to many cats in these woods more felines and any small cat you would find here are not domesticated, I would stay away from them” he nodded. He climbed onto a stronger branch “There are plenty of domesticated beings on Gaia that need homes, I much more prefer wild animals myself” he stated.

Once he felt safe, his feet adjusted to the sturdy branch he started to stretch. It helped him feel himself and slightly more comfortable with his surroundings. He used the center of the tree to stretch his lower lumber of his back. Then balanced himself and walked over to the green hair boy “So do you like cats because you like witches, it appears that you dress in outfits to reflect one?” he stated. “I often get asked if I am real wolf child or do I dress as one” he noted to try to relate to Midori. “I guess there are plenty types of wolf people, I just have normal wolf dna mix among a few other things” he looked down below than looked up. He was studding the tree and height. “I am glad I am not werewolf since they often have trouble controlling parts of themselves” he nodded. Right now the boy was wearing navy blue sweat pants and a gray long sleeve shirt. The n** in the air made him put cooler clothing. So as of right now he kind of fit the bill of werewolf.

“I am just killing time before it gets dark and I need to be home” he stated. “I think you would really like my friend July , she is like my sister. She isn’t here right now. She is with my guardians wife. I am not adopted but I do have guardian, I am sure you have seen him around, his name is Artz Reagion. He is the author of a bestselling book, he is also a Pokemon cosplay, it’s hard to miss him” he stated. He tried not to be so informative but it is part of who he is. ‘I wonder if I am talking to much maybe I should let him speak’ he stated to himself. He reached up and grabbed a large branch and wiggled it around. He nodded his head and looked up “Sturdy” he said out loud. He lifted himself up and then let himself dangle from the branch.

He then started to do some more self taught stretches like working out his shoulder blades. The gravity pulling him down allowed him to work kinks out in his back and legs. The trees bouncy allowed him to work on muscle’s that are hard to push with just normal exercise. Link has a natural ability to understand his body. He didn’t have to learn any of his skills he just knows what to do. Link listens to his bodies’ rhythms and goes with the motion of his surroundings. Link than let go and caught the branch below him with little to no effort. He didn’t realize he was doing anything out of the ordinary. This was just everyday activity for Link. “I hope I’m not boring you, I don’t make a very good host I am told” he stated as he got himself back on to the branch level to Midori.

Midori looked a little put out at the mention that there weren't any crows around here. He had thought that a forest would be a good place to find birds... but it seemed there were only eagles and owls, neither of which were what he wanted when it came to his familiar. He was sure that he would find something perfect though, he just had to keep looking, "I might look at the humane society but the last time I look there the cats were so... tame. When I find myself a cat it will be a haughty, sleek, and arrogant as anything." A bit like this kid here but a cat, not a wolf. He highly doubted that his father would allow him a wolf anyway he thought to himself for a moment, then shrugged. That was unimportant though, what was important was was finding his destine familiar. He would do that one day.

Shifting on his broom he gave a bit of a sigh as the other boy seemed to be content with continuing his climb which had him asking, "Do wolves even climb trees? Are you sure that is what you are?" Not the most polite of questions but really, he'd never heard of a wolf climbing a tree, weren't dogs something that were supposed to roam around on the ground? Then again he supposed that this one was also humanoid so he wouldn't follow his wolf instincts completely. If he did he wouldn't be in a tree, he'd be off chasing rabbits around the forest he told himself, giving a bit of a grin at the mental image of that idea. When he was asked if he liked cats because he was a witch he gave a shame of his head, "I love cats because they are meant to be a familiar to me, I was born loving them, and it's not because I am playing witch or even because I am a witch, which I am. It's because it's destiny!" He loved cats more then anything and if he could find someone like this crabby boy that was a cat boy instead of a wolf boy Midori was sure to fall in love.

When the other boy explained what he was he listened closely before giving a slow nod of his head, "I suppose being a wolf would be better then being a werewolf, you are allowed to maintain yourself after all." Sure he didn't like wolves as much as cats but it didn't mean he hated them... though he was sure his future familiar would since wolves were in the same family as dogs. When Midori was informed as to what Lincoln was up to at the moment he couldn't help but to find it a bit... dull. So he was outside just to kill time before going home? "Why not do... wolf things? Build a pack, howl at the moon, hunt rabbits, that sort of thing." He asked of him, surely there must be other things to do that were more fun then just sitting on a dock and then sitting on a tree, right? He couldn't be sure, he rarely sat still enough to just sit around and do nothing. He didn't have time to wait, if he wanted to be a powerful witch he had to keep on his feet! He came back to what the other boy was saying, something about his sister, and family, and it all sounded a bit complicated to him. He had a guardian but wasn't adopted, huh? Midori didn't know about such deep things, Aden, as annoying as the man could be, was his father and that was that. Nothing like what he was saying. At mention of the wolf boy's guardian and who and what it was he gave a slow not, that was... the yellow guy, right? Not a cat therefore not interesting, as such he barely paid him mind.

He watch as the wolf was suddenly dangling fro the branch and he lowered his broom down to watch the other boy, "You must be bored, huh?" All he was doing was hanging out of a tree... surely that couldn't be the most interesting thing in the world, right? When he was told that the boy hoped he wasn't boring Midori and that he didn't make a good host the witch boy started to laugh, "You are a terrible host but I worry more that you must be more bored then I am... I mean you are hanging out of a tree waiting until it gets dark so you can go home. Surely there are more fun things to do?"

As the wolf boy listened to him speak he realized the level of Midori’s energy “No I am not bored at all, I enjoy nature. I am not a stereotype” never mind he is more plant than animal. "Yes I am wolf and vary glad not to be a werewolf. You don't see canine wolves climbing trees since there anatomy doesn't allow it, I'm sure if canine wolves had the ability to climb they would. I'm also sure there are other wolf beings that climb trees, now I haven't met any so I can't say for certain" he stated. He wasn’t surprised by the green haired boy’s reaction to him. It was a common. Hardly anyone got his mellow more peaceful disposition. "I really love climbing, I also do a fair bit of running. It's just right now I felt like climbing. Really no thought process to it, it all comes natural to me" he nodded his head. "I hope your find a cat to your liking" Link added. "If I were to get a companion, it would probably be a fairy or simple minded humanoid" he said as he sat on a branch.

"Oh you have seen Artz than, He is a wonderful man, his wife is also just amazing" he said. He would of gone with July to the farm but he really needed some alone time. Before laying on the dock he had gone on a five mile run around the lake. He also took some animal notes and went on a rabbit run in fact. He liked to chase the long legged rabbits. They seemed to like to challenge him, they sure know how to hide when the pressure is on. Lucky for the rabbits Link wouldn't dream of eating wild meat. Unfortunately the rabbits didn't know that. Hunting wasn't in his blood. They idea of hunting his own food truly grossed him out. He didn't even like to eat meat much. His diet consist of herbs, veggies, berries , spices, eggs and every now and then turkey or fish. He also loved to eat clovers. There is a real bountiful clover patch on the 'Night Family Farm' he loved to graze on. He often went to an odd gift shop on the 'Night plaza' that had exotic food. Temperance Artz's wife lieks learning about medicinal foods and often bought items he was interested in. He seems to have a good nose for those kind of things.

He looked around "So what kind of activities would you like to do?" he asked. He wasn't much of a leader and would rather be told what to do. July was perfect for him. She always picked the games they played, the books they read , or the movies they watched. He never had to make decisions. He couldn't help but giggle when he learned the branch he was sitting on could bounce. "Wow this tree is rather healthy, with a lot of spunk" he said in a chipper and upbeat tone. This was a rare glimpse into the happier side of Link. At times July wondered if the boy was just born gloomy or depressing. Not that she cared she really liked the wolf. Lincoln kept shaking the tree and pine needles kept falling to the grown. " I am soo sorry but I find this absolutely hilarious" he said in a soft chuckle.
