He was on his way to visit his previous-life brother, when Xavier had come across what had to be the most delightful orchard. The only problem was that there was a FENCE... And humans. The god sat staring at it, contemplating his options. He could just... Hop the fence... Or plow through it. What was a little electricity? But there was still that problem of the humans. They were impervious to the ways of lion gods, or so he'd figured. Plus they tended to freak out if they saw him. He'd never quite shaken that Dingonek thing from two or three lifetimes before...
Finally, he came to a decision. He'd freak the little pests out. Standing, Xavier stretched, before hunching down to jump the fence.

Despite her ability to fly even with her lack of wings, Zimran had always chosen to walk instead. Leading the life of a regular lion wherever she could. Thankfully she could still teleport, but that was hard. Recently the goddess had been enjoying the company of one of her sons who had come to visit her but had departed to attend his duties. It had been a long time since she had felt a pull like that. She mostly just...wandered now. With gentle steps, she made her way across the African plains.
It was lonely, that was for sure. She had separated from a dear mate of hers which was not only hard for her but for their cubs as well. She was sure of that. Zimran's ears lay flat against her head as she did not mind where her paws took her at this point. Merely walking was proving to be helpful.

A long ear twitched. Somebody was coming, and by the sound of it, they were neither human, nor mortal. He stood up, un-bunching his muscles to look around. He couldn't tell if it was someone cursed or not - He could never tell with other gods. He frowned, then started walking, before she came into sight.
Or, he was sure it was a she. Considering his OWN lack of a full mane, he couldn't tell, since there were both very manly females and feminine males out there in the world. The latter, he figured, were too spoiled to actually build muscle, while the former, he figured, were REALLY good at fighting and hunting big things.
He tilted his head, regarding the other deity for a moment, then frowned. "Bonjour."

Zimran was neither a very manly lioness or a feminine lion. She was a relatively small goddess on the scale of the gods, maybe the size of a Firekin born of mixed blood. Something that normally did not help when trying to differentiate her between a mortal lioness.
She stopped for a moment, her eyes blinking several times at the sight of what appeared to be either a mutant mortal; something she had never heard or seen before, or another deity. Going with the latter, since it was safer to assume, she continued her steps towards his direction.
"Bon...jour?" The word was foreign to her and was something she did not know the meaning of. Since it was spoken first, it was likely a hello or stay away. Considering his frown, perhaps it was a word to stay away. "Excuse me," Zimran spoke with a small, gentle voice, "I don't think I quite understand what you are saying. Should I leave this place?"

His ears suddenly went back and his eyes widened as it dawned on him. He'd slipped into old habits again... "I am sorry... Bonjour is a greeting, it means... 'Ello. I spent a past life near a French colony in the jungle, I am afraid it 'as not worn off..." He was beginning to wonder if it would EVER wear off. He then nodded toward the fence. "I am not sure they would know what to do if they saw us, so it MIGHT be good to... Ah... Stay clear." Though he DID still want one of those bright yellow fruits. "So..." He pointed to the horn on her head. "You are a goddess." His ears unfolded, lifting back up, listening for... Well, anything.

Of course then she just wanted to ask who the French were. That was definitely a pride she hadn't heard of before. To have their own language they must be a great pride! "I see." She finally just said, choosing to bite her tongue and not bother him with other questions. Though she was the first incarnation of her domain, she was still pure and naive to the world it seemed as she did not know of much or of many prides and that she did not share the same alertness as he. "Oh! My horn. Why yes, I am a goddess. The goddess of purity to be exact." Zimran beamed with a cheerful smile over her maw. "By the looks of it, so are you or is that just how the French look?" Who knew, maybe the French were stranger then just their language but also their looks.

A dark eyebrow went up. "Actually, the French are 'umans." He motioned with his head. "Pale 'umans from Europe." He paused. "That is north of Africa, across the sea on the other end of the massive desert. They came in the past 'undred or two years to settle in the western jungles." He inclined his head, whiskers twitching just a bit. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Zimran... I may 'ave 'eard of you... Not many gods go so long without rebirth. I am Xavier, God of the Cursed... And I 'ave 'ad too many rebirths to count, in the past few decades alone..."

Humans, not in Africa? That was kind of strange to the goddess but she supposed it wasn't too far fetched as lions were basically everywhere in Africa at this point. If they had prides why couldn't these humans? Maybe the French were just a pride of humans. "I...see." It was still a little too much for her to comprehend at the moment though having not actually seen the French cities or anything. "Rebirth? I'm still in my original incarnation. I am glad though, I'm rather fond of this life and my children..." She had on the otherhand met gods that had rebirthed. "I'd hate to forget any of them." Zimran paused a moment and tilted her head, curious on how a god could have so many rebirths so quickly. "The pleasure is mine, Xavier. I can't say I know your name though."

He gave a nod. "I congratulate you, then, Zimran, on never 'aving met someone intent on ending that record." He looked at the farm on the other side of the fence, snorted at it, then turned away, padding back in the direction he'd come from to seek that sweet, sweet smell. "I do not imagine my name is going to be easy to remember... Given 'ow many times I've been reborn.." He moved some bushes aside, looking back. "Just take my advice... Avoid Neltharion, God of 'Ate. 'E may not 'esitate to kill you, 'e didn't 'esitate to kill me... And I was actually defending the pride I was residing in at the time."

A god of...hate? She had heard of those of their kinds with horrible domains but to know one was actually loose on the world was another worry. She had one half-sister who possessed a darker domain, but even despite her more corrupt intentions, she was never as bad as Xavier made Neltharion out to be. "I'll be sure to try and avoid him." That's all she could ever do; just try. She was a peaceful goddess and killed was not in her nature. In fact...it was taboo to her, but it seemed common-place in the world. If there was ever conflict she could avoid, she would. That didn't mean her horn would not be put to use though defending those she cared for.
"Thank you, Xavier. I hope you don't cross paths with him again, but I must continue on with my search. I do hope we cross paths again!" Her children were missing still and they were something so precious to her that she could not stop too long in any one place. With a quick nod of her head and a gentle smile directed to the other god, she turned and went on her way.
