User ImagePerenna grasped the paper in her hand; it told her the location of where she was supposed to meet the person she was the Secret Santa for. Without a doubt, she was nervous as she looked around. Looking at the paper, she read it again, making sure the place was right.

Location: Moonfall, Clock tower
Person: Theofratus Menniadis
Description: Icy-blue eyes, Darker blue hair, Horns

The description of the paper intimidated her a bit more. She was already nervous and the description just made this 'Theo' sound scarier. Her left hand closed tightly on the paper and crumpled it up. In her right hand, she held the present gently.

She had attempted to warp it neatly. It was very much more an attempt than a work of art. The wrapping paper stuck out on weird corners and there was tape all over the place, trying to keep the present covered. Perenna held it up to her eyes and sighed. "I hope this person likes it... And won't judge me for my wrapping. Maybe I should tell him it's the first present I'm ever giving..."

Perenna peeked around the corner to the front of the clock tower. She scanned the area until she found some horns in the crowd and saw the person she was supposed to give the gift to. She gulped, unsure if she should go over now, or wait a little bit longer. "Just a little bit more? Or maybe I should deliver it in my bird form..."

The clock tower loomed overhead as he stoof near the steps, waiting. Someone had come up with this faobulous idea of giving gifts secrets and he'd conceded to participating because Phil had seemed so enthusiastic. He snorted quietly, wondering how his brother would react if he knew that Theo had drawn him as the recipient of the gift. Strange twist of fate, no? Theo's lips quirked in a cynical smile as he leaned against a wall, waiting. He had no idea who was giving him the gift. Not at all. Just.. someone.

He glanced upwards at the tower, checking the time and decided he'd wait another five minutes before he left. He had things to do, the least of them wrapping some thirteen gifts for his family. Then he was supposed to meet Phil before they went back for Christmas or something. Theo shifted restlessly as he waited, eager to be doing something else besides merely standing around waiting.

Perenna took a deep breath and held the gift in both hands. Her back was against the wall and she tried to slow her breathing and her slight shaking. When she looked around the corner again, she was waiting for a straight path, so she wouldn't have to bump into someone else.

Once it was sort of clear, she walked quickly to the person she assumed was the person she was supposed to gift to. She looked at the witch with the icy-blue eyes and horns. "Theo-?" Her voice kind of trailed off when she tried to speak to him.

Without even waiting for confirmation, Perenna bowed her whole body a little bit and held the badly-wrapped present over her head, eye-level to Theo. "Sorry for the badly wrapped gift... I tried my best... I hope you enjoy it..."

Well, time to get a move on, I suppose. Theofratus Menniadis pulled himself upright and started to walk away when he heard a soft voice call out his name. He turned around to find himself facing a mononoke. Some bird or another, apparently. Golden hair casacded down her slim body and framed her pale blue eyes. A pair of wings extended from her shoulders. However, she seemed utterly, totally terrified. Theo's facial expression softened a little. She had tried, that was what mattered.

"Thank you." He smiled at her, gracefully accepting the gift. It wasn't very well wrapped, but that mattered little when he was likely to burn the wrapping though. Still, he appreciated the thought and effort that had gone into it. "It's okay. Learning to wrap can take a while." Theo smiled again, hoping to reassure her.

"Thank you again." Theo murmured. "What's your name?" He inquired, realizing he didn't know who his mystery gift giver was, lovely as she was. "As you probably know, I'm Theofratus Menniadis." He quirked a little smile. "I usually go by Theo, though."

Perenna looked up, smiling and blushing. She was so happy that he liked it that she was suddenly really happy. The happiness inside her led her to bowing a few more times frantically. Anyone looking at them from a third person would think that there might of been something wrong with her.

"You're welcome," she said in somewhat of a murmur. "I'm sorry that practicing wrapping didn't really help that look any better. For some reason, that was one thing I couldn't really practice to make better..."

She looked at the present that was now in Theo's hands. A determined look was on her face while she was thinking. "I will defeat you wrapping paper!" When she realized what she was doing, she shook her head and looked at Theo again. "S-sorry for not introducing myself earlier. I-I'm Perenna Lexington. I... Don't have any nicknames because... I don't really talk to that many people..."

Perenna kind of withdrew again, looking at the floor, once again remembering how socially awkward she was.

A smile lit up the girl's face. It didn't take much to cheer her up, Theo noted. While he was mildly curious as to what was hidden beneath the wrapping, he knew it was rude to open it now. Instead, he curbed his curiousity and smiled at Perenna. She glared at the package in his hands, as if wishing ill of the wrapping paper that seemed to have gotten the better of him. He couldn't help but smile, since this was rather unexpected, in the least.

"Interesting name.. Perenna." Theo pondered on what it could mean for a moment before deciding to ask her out for a cup of coffee or tea. "Fancy a cup of coffee or tea before you head back? Or are you staying over at Moonfall tonight?" Theo inquired. There was nothing wrong with building up network of people you knew. In fact, it was useful. At least he had a couple of people he would call friends, if he used the term more loosely. Theo noted Perenna's behaviour, concluding that she wasn't very social nor very good with people. In fact, she seemed rather shy and withdrawn. Shame though. He waited for her answer, his thoughts taking a slight change of direction, moving to what he could guess of her personality as he continued to observe her.

Perenna's eyes stared at Theo when he asked her about going into a cafe. Of course, she'd had tea and coffee before, but usually, it was one of her family members buying it and they would go out and enjoy it where there were less people. She bowed her head and apologized. "I-I'm sorry... But I'm not used to being in cafes or the like... The spaces are normally so small... They make me feel... Caged?"

She felt the bag of coins that were tucked inside of her sleeves. Perenna did want to get to know Theo more, and well, it would be a waste of an opportunity if she ran away now. Taking out the little purse, she shook out a few coins. "If... If I give you money, can you buy me a cup of tea? I'd be glad to enjoy it somewhere outside rather than inside the cafe..."

Her hand was held out in front of Theo, wondering if it was a good idea to give money to a complete stranger or not. "I have to trust people more!"

Theo merely smiled knowingly. "I propose we go and get some coffee at a cafe then take a walk around Moonfall." Theo suggested. "It's pretty this time of the year, when all the Christmas decorations are up." In fact, Theo wouldn't mind a walk. The night was pulsing, pounding with an energy, a rhythm. The city was begging to be explored. And if Perenna didn't want to sit around, then they could walk. After all, it wouldn't hurt him to make a new friend would it?

Theo's hand closed over Perenna's curling her fingers over the money. "Come on, I'll treat you if you want. My favourite coffee shop's just down the block from here. They have a lot of teas there as well." He offered her a wry smile. She seemed so lost and alone out here, completely out of place in the vibrant city that was Moonfall. She looked like she needed a friend or someone to guide her at least. The wary look was a stark contrast to how naive she seemed to be. Someone told one time too many not to trust strangers, that much was certain. He gave her a crooked smile and stuffed his hands into his pockets. "Ready to go?" He asked, tilting his head to the side questioningly.
