Las Noches in its' time of power had indeed been filled with all sorts of appliances and objects that had made life just a little bit easier. The very fact they had a roof over their heads for one not to mention the bright light within and the chairs. It was of course, for this reason, likely to be a place where scavengers after tins of beans, pieces of the building and chairs were likely to appear. Seeking out those little things that would make living in the wilderness just that little bit easier. For this reason the Arrancar, Kura Kaplu had arrived with the intention to relieve the (mostly) empty halls of Las Noches of a chair. Initially she had only intended to take one of the chairs from the meeting hall of the Espada however on her way she had a thought. It was only a whim but it was worth a little look to see if the throne that had once been here still remained. She was doubtful that it had not been destroyed in the battles that had made so many of the paths through the palace impassable but it was worth a look. The chair was sure to be of high quality and if she could find something soft to put on it then it would certainly be handy. The only issue was the awkwardness of carrying it around as, being an Arrancar, it was unlikely to be made of a material too heavy for any Hollow to carry. Kura moved into the main palace of Las Noches. The moment she had entered she knew that there would be something or someone else around. Not through supernatural abilities but through gut feeling. She could not be the only one who had the idea to scavenge through what was left of the place. She removed her shield from her back and gripped it tightly in her left hand, then took her halberd in her other hand and began to move slowly through the area keeping wary of back attacks and with her shield in a position from which she could immediately block and then attack with lethal force. It may have seemed stupid to some to put one's life in danger in pursuit of a chair but years of sitting around in the sand and having it pour into her armour and clothing had warped her perception. The irritation of sand was in her opinion more likely to end up killing her one day than a simple scavenging mission. How tough could the Hollows that lived here be if they survived off these ruins?

Not a single attack. It seemed as if whatever creatures stalked these halls were biding their time. Attacking from the front would be ridiculous if they had seen her shield and so Kura paid most attention to her back. She would be able to see straight away if something was coming from the front and react to it. The back and sides not so much however she could take action to prevent taking excess damage from any unseen attacker. It was not long before she found herself by a small doorway, the door that had once been there now lying on the floor in front of her smashed to pieces, it could not have been the throne room or anywhere important due to the way it was purposely made to seem unassuming and unimportant however there could still be useful equipment within. When she entered the room she could immediately tell what it was. Stale and rotten food lay around scattered all over the floor and what was left of the canned food was spilled all around the area. Food, although unnecessary for Hollows as their true source of sustenance was spiritual, was a useful thing. As long as it was edible it wouldn't matter what was in them. The Arrancar picked out about three cans (the least damaged ones she could find possessing at most about two dents in them) and placed them in a satchel at her waist that she had brought for scavenging these ruins. Of course while she was taking these things she had placed her weapon and shield onto her back. It would be impossible otherwise to effectively place them into the satchel. Immediately after however they were in her hands. She thought for a moment, trying to gain her bearings in the dark. If she was in the pantry now then it was likely that upstairs was one of the kitchens furthermore if she was only at the kitchens she would have to ascend a fair distance to reach the upper areas of the palace where the good furniture was sure to be. Perhaps due to the higher quality of objects from that area they would have lasted longer without care. Thinking about it wasn't going to get her the chair she desired though and so she ceased giving it thought deciding that it would be better to just ascend the flight of stairs nearby into the kitchens themselves.

Although she had not received an attack thus far Kura was nonetheless careful and would never find herself under threat from a poorly planned surprise attack. Before opening the door into the Kitchen she lunged her Halberd through it, tearing the door off it's hinges, the weapon crashed through the stone door meeting little resistance though a little more than she had expected nonetheless. She retracted her weapon and brought it close enough that she could clearly see some bodily fluid on it. Her precautions had not been in vain as something waited, or had been waiting, on the other side of that door perhaps with the intent to strike before she had the chance. Gravity instantly took effect and the door came falling down onto whatever lay on the other side with a nasty squelching sound. Judging by what remained of the flattened claw poking out from the side it was not a humanoid Hollow and so unlikely to be ruled by reason. She near silently apologised to the Hollow, whatever it had been, though she stepped over the door that had squashed it's body and crushed it further under her enormous weight. The creature would be almost two dimensional by now. The Kitchen was unlikely to have anything of worth for her as she had already raided the pantry downstairs however it was likely to be connected to paths to upper floors. She looked at another staircase but this one was broken. She would have to find another route. She left the Kitchen by the same method she had entered it but found no Hollows this time. If there were any then seeing one of their own flattened would probably be enough to put them off hunting whoever was responsible down. Kura began to move through another open hallway searching for an undamaged and safe route to the top however she could find none. They were all either damaged or the route to them was as well. There was no other choice. She was going to have to make a little noise if she wanted to get any higher. From what she could remember there should probably be some sort of staircase towards the furthest northern part of the lower middle palace up into the upper middle and middle sections. The Arrancar brought her shield up to cover her body and faced a wall nearby the rubble and then charged. Using her reiatsu as fuel to increase her speed to otherwise impossible levels for her. She came smashing straight through and into a small room, likely a barracks area, where some basic furniture was being kept. By simply walking in the direction the rubble had been blocking she was sure she could find a way to the top.

As she had been passing through this room Kura had found an item, or rather a set of items, that she had an interest in. She had found the outfit of the Arrancar that had lived here once perfectly preserved. To most it would've seemed useless but to Kura it held some sentimental value as her own had been destroyed a few years previous. Likely the only reason it was not missing was because it was useless however to most. A strange thought occurred to Kura as she folded the clothes into her satchel that someone must've left this here and because of that they were either the clothes of a dead Arrancar or an Arrancar who had ran away from Las Noches stark naked. Both thoughts made her shiver slightly but she was sure they would all have their uses she mused silently to herself as she placed the shoes in the satchel. It was likely she wouldn't have room for anything else and if she found something else useful she would have to trade it out. She continued her journey, walking up a nearby staircase to the upper sections of Las Noches. She was close now. She was closing in on the best chairs in all of Hueco Mundo (assuming none better had been made in the period of barbarianism following the fall of Las Noches which seemed unlikely at best). Useless thoughts were starting to clog Kura's mind about naked Arrancar and the past in general. She knew this would cloud her ability to make judgements and sense danger and so before she could possibly be attacked she set her mind on a one way course. Getting up some stairs and taking the chair that may or may not have been there. As she finally ascended to the upper floors a wave of reiatsu came over her. Of course she could not use complicated techniques to sense reiatsu over a distance but this had been like a concentrated blast as a warning. She would've had to been completely insensitive to it to not have sensed it. However it meant nothing to her as she could not tell how strong or weak it was having no experience with the process. All she could do was meet the challenge and so she walked towards where she assumed the wave had came from, the Throne Room, and opened the doors.

It came as no surprise to Kura to find a person, sitting on the throne inside Las Noches, before her and maybe a thousand glowing golden eyes all around her in the dark. The scene simply seemed to make sense. She would've expected nothing else. Given this it also seemed that the Arrancar who led this place, seated on the throne, was a lover of drama. For this reason she was certain that the Hollows around her would not pounce immediately and would wait until he gave the order unless there was a particularly rowdy one about them. "Welcome to my abode foolish little boy." The man on the chair directed quite clearly to Kura. She could not blame him. The darkness and the armour which betrayed no femininity would've confused anyone who didn't know her or hadn't heard her voice. "It's a pleasure to be here." She replied, seeing no reason to act with hostility. He'd need to speak far more aggressively than that and wound her pride far deeper to get a reaction from her that he desired. However she had got the reaction she had desired as the Arrancar seated on the throne realised Kura was a woman. He grunted to himself. "Well, erm." He was lost for words. Her reply had been so calm and so lacking in malice that he could not think of a good reply immediately. "What are you here for!" He snapped at her. "The throne." She replied calmly remaining calm and pointing a gloved finger at the seat he has positioned himself on. The Arrancar stood up, expecting a battle to come soon and preparing himself for a fight. "The throne!? Did you not feel my strength as you entered my abode? You couldn't hope to take it from me." Kura realised her mistake in her wording and continued to speak. "By the throne I mean the actual seat. If you're using it that's fine. I'll just go find another one." The Arrancar stopped moving briefly and then regained his composure. He sighed to himself and then sat down. "Fine! Just go get a seat and get out of here. I never want to see you around again. Got it?" Kura nodded and a small smile formed on her face. Her battle was won with little life lost. She knew from the throne room where some of the good chairs were kept.
After relieving the old meeting hall of the Espada of one of their nice chairs Kura left the building. Deciding that going down the steps would take too long she broke her way out of the building smashing through the wall and slid down the side all the way back to the bottom. Her quest complete she returned back to her camp ready to eat some beans on a chair.

The feral form rushed through the endlessly tall trees followed closely by her only companion in this wretched place. It had been a long time living in this place, so long that she had forgotten entirely of her past life if she had any for that matter, all she knew was the now and her future plans to become stronger then the rest. the insatiable drive had existed in her as long as her memory held meaning. the trees rushed by the two figures in a blur as they made their way to their next kill. Asla had met up with Kesh a few days back and easily grew to ally herself with him, they had the same drive and the same history or lack thereof. While on a hunt some days ago the canine like hollow had been after the same target and after both Asla, who at the time resembled some kind of humanoid reptilian hollow, and the wolfen Kesh had pincer attacked a rather hefty gillian possibly on the verge of gaining an identity from its others; the chance was cut short however as the two took down the creature with ease. Both being prideful offered the kill to the other given they had not felled it on their own. Eventually they split the feast and what was more they had began hunting as a duo. This partnership allowed Asla and Kesh to go after substantially larger game with relative ease and rapidly increased their power to the current state in which it stood, the echelon of their kind. this last hunt would prove to make them become even more powerful as the hollow they sought was very strong. They neared the clearing and Asla took the lead position for this attack as Kesh had taken the last one. To her surprise there was a figure standing there, it resembled a shinigami. Confusion struck her emerald eyes as she stared in utter confusion. Was this a trick to deal with multiple hollows concocted by the shinigami through use of strange traps. As these thoughts of confusion mulled over in her mind she decided it would be best to step back from this one and go after their strength gaining quest another time. "Kesh... we should leave this one behind, it's worthless power to us..." Asla stated to her partner who remained silent as she had. Suddenly a sharp pain shot from the hollow hole in her chest. glancing down she saw Kesh's armor tail peaking a tearing at the edges from behind. Looking back at her 'friend a look of pain mixed with betrayal etched across her bestial face she could barely speak from the lack of strength left in her. "Why..." she managed to utter out before falling from the armored tail of Kesh.
"Come now Asla you should have known this would happen, we've become the strongest around and that means one of us has to move forward, thankfully I won't have to consume you since this was a test of my determination to become stronger." Kesh's words flowed from his grinning lips smoothly and stung like a barbed spear as he walked by the hunched over body of Asla which now had blood pooling at her knees, easily encompassing her body as her defiant and betrayed gaze threatened to pierce the traitor she had so foolishly grown to rely upon. His words confused her though, how would he gain strength without eating. As though reading her mind he began to explain. "You see the figure before us?" his head motioned towards the white garbed shinigami. "That is the peak of being a hollow, our perfect form, an arrancar. I'm going to gain entrance to that field of power thanks to this test. at least you'll die furthering your friends cause..." his grin widened further as he watched Asla furrow her brow now infuriated by the words this former ally uttered. "good bye Alsa friend I'll be at the top and this is where you'll have to stay." the wolfen hollow stated triumphantly before turning about to join the side of the strange figure called arrancar.
"Y...you... get back here..." Asla exclaimed stubbornly cough up a substantial amount of blood as she attempted to edge forward towards the distancing figures. "TRAITOR!" She screamed out defiantly at the now gone figures. instead new forms began appearing around her, eager to take her power for their own...
That memory kept coming back to Alsa recently, as though it were mocking her day and night. She had arrived where she was now far to late to exact the vengeance she so desire upon the traitor Kesh. Of course she should have realized something like that would happen, after all they were hollows, no longer human. She had been spending a good portion of her time in these ruins, a former kingdom to a once powerhouse of elites. Now it was nothing more than a few buildings and crumbling rumble on the sands. She had approached the large building for a reason, there was someone mildly powerful there, she figured she would vent her frustrations on something while she was here. These days felt like a big waiting game. What the wait was for she had no idea but she simply had to deal with it now. Approaching a door to the large building she noted a pillar that had come to rest before it. "Hmph like this would stop me from getting in." She huffed with a bit of an echo in the atmosphere as she gripped her hands into the hard surface of the pillar. In moments her fingers pierced into the stone giving her substantial hold as she heave the pillar up, it was short and only a portion of what was once a larger object but now it was simply a piece of rubble to which Asla had no trouble in removing. Lifting the stone overhead she flung it out across the distance behind her, not bothering to wait for it's landing thud she stepped inside the building. Maybe she would explore a little bit before confronting whoever was inside.

Wandering the halls of the large building provided mediocre entertainment as she occasionally smashed her fist into the wall beside her the bones on her necklace clacking together almost musically as she did so. soon she had found a room, the throne room of old she gathered. in which lay a countless number of hollow and a rather agitated looking arrancar. "Hey Bozo! I'm here for the throne!" she shouted out bluntly while pointing a finger at the arrancar in challenging defiance.
((lol tiny but I wasn't sure if I should play him or you should.))

((I'll take over for now then.))
Had it been literally any other day then the Arrancar sat on the throne would've been overjoyed to see someone here for a dramatic battle for the throne. As it held today he was a little confused and annoyed. Instead of being overjoyed he had reached a state of euphoria. A challenger finally. The very idea moved him to his core. "Ah ha! So you too are here for the Throne! I have already sent one wench away today and now I will bring an end to another! Pray tell what's your name lassie?" He lifted himself from the throne of Las Noches and took to the centre. All around them the yellow eyes of the Hollow glowed brightly as they were shrouded in a all consuming darkness. "Prepare yourself my girl. My power is unlike anything you've ever seen!" He lifted each arm to the side and conjured a cero in each one.
"Now lass, witness true power." He shouted as two glorious red beams came from each side and closed in on Asla's body. If she didn't move fast she would be crushed and then destroyed by the two powerful red beams of reiatsu. Typical of someone villainous like himself, the Arrancar who presently ruled over Las Noches cackled madly. He of course knew his role and hoped Asla knew her own.

Now she could have easily consume one while the other hit her back side but that would be stupid for such a simple attack. Instead she crouched a bit lower and bounded with a heavy push from the ground her excess strength breaking the floor a bit as she launched towards the arrancar 'ruler'. "If all you got is a double cero, your powers are weak!" she commented boldly a crooked grin on her lips as she had swiftly closed the distance from the one leap. she proceeded to to bring her fist forward into a gut punch meanwhile the double cero collided behind her exploding brightly. The fact that he thought he was the most powerful being irritated her quite a bit and she was now excited and thrilled to have the opportunity to put the chump in his place. After all it was clear who was the superior here, to use a move that stunts your movement right out of the gate was quite a silly opener. sure cero was potent but it was pretty limiting to your fighting ability.

The Arrancar's laugh came quickly to a close as Asla's fist planted itself in his gut knocking the wind straight out of him before he could prevent the Cero from firing. All that wasted power in the first shot. He would have to make up for it as he fought her. His body was launched away and he crashed into the throne itself rolling backwards towards it from the force of the punch and finding himself upside-down before slipping out of it. Something strange would've been immediately noticeable though. The feel of his reiatsu had suddenly gotten stronger and there was no evidence to suggest he was exerting more of it to give the impression he had more to spare. He quickly leapt to his feet and came back to face Asla. She wasn't a woman of words. That much was certain. However she carried a certain dramatic edge to her and that would play into his hands. Provided that she didn't hit him too hard. "Very good." He clapped steadily and slowly. "If you're this serious then." The Arrancar unsheathed his sword slowly. The sound of bone scraping on bone as he finally brought it before him. It was a simple Katana but it should give him the advantage when it came to distance and pure attacking power. Though the woman had already proven herself to be stronger. That much he knew. "Let's begin again then. I am Leon de Armero. King of Las Noches. Your life ends today" There was another sudden boost in power. Unexplainable to anyone watching. He had merely drawn his sword and it should not have given him any more power.
It was clear what the forte of this Arrancar was as a Cero began charging on the edge of his sword. He made a movement to attack Asla coming in from the right for a diagonal slash but as he did so made sure to fire the Cero as he came across. She would need to be careful to dodge this attack.

The weird power jumps annoyed her more than it frightened her. She could see this 'king' was reliant on cero, at least for the time being. the edge of his freshly drawn blade glowed with the familiar color of a cero like before though as he brought the sword into a slash he had yet to launch the attack at all. "Your trick annoys me! you are a king of a fallen kingdom don't be so haughty!" She shouted out her emerald eyes locked at the arrancar called Armero's core. in a sort of counter motion she brought her fist up from the lower left to connect on the flat of the blade. Cero or not the edge would deflect away, if the cero still launched at the same trajectory he intended she would share with him one of her unique talents and hopefully end his boasting of 'cero' supremacy. her precision with these powerful punches would like be startling, but she had learned long ago to react with her hands at a rate fast and precise enough to deal with other's weapons. Her hierro was actually a bit tougher than one might expect thanks to her hand to hand fighting need and it might be hard pressed to cut through with a weak blade or weapon of any sorts. Of course she didn't boast defensive prowess; her real potency came in the form of her ridiculous attack power.

Speaking was probably Asla's greatest mistake in this fight so far. Her words carried a dramatic edge to them. King of a fallen kingdom just sounded so good in Amero's head and a sudden noticeable boost to power occurred. He was not going to waste this opportunity. As she deflected his sword and the Cero went shooting off into the ceiling causing it to come crashing down and another sudden boost of power as it crushed some of the weaker Hollow around. Although Asla was fast Amero had picked up some quite considerable speed and power although he was still unable to break through her hierro immediately. Before she could get a perfect attack on a bewildered Amero he regained form and managed to push some of his arm in front of the attack to prevent all of the damage from getting through. Coupled with his own weaker though still stronger, and growing stronger, hierro. The Arrancar King was knocked back but this time instead of going flying over and smashing into things he managed to stand and went skidding back. "Your punches are indeed impressive my girl." He allowed his arms to flop by him. The bones were clearly shattered in them and the sword was beginning to slip out. However against a strange Hollow like this more damage would have to be done or he would have to be killed in one almighty attack. His arms began to regenerate. The concave in them slowly disappeared and his flesh looked like it had hardly been damaged apart from the massive bruise on his arms. "However it's about time we put a stop to these games." His power went through another boost exactly as the word games ended. "I'm going to get serious now." Again on the word 'serious' he suddenly became slightly more powerful. It was starting to become clear what his special ability was when outside of Resurrecion. However now was the perfect time to explain it as that was also dramatic. "You see lassie, my power increases every time something dramatic occurs. Your very being here makes me stronger." Although he had seemed to be an easy opponent before he was quickly becoming capable of matching Asla perfectly. If he were to do anything dramatic the fight would become even finally.
With a speed he could never have reached formerly he shot off and made an attack on Asla. A quick diagonal slash, this time without the cero attached. Then almost before she could have blocked it he followed up with another attack instantly. A sideways slash with the same sword. The weapon moved with blinding speed. It was not just pure physical force that increased but also his skill with the weapon. This battle would rely now on Asla staying quiet as she still had the advantage in terms of pure power but even that would only work for so long.

"Tch..." she uttered upon hearing this arrancar's 'power' It agitated her but there wasn't much she could do now as the blade came a swinging in a two hit combo. She barely had time to raise an arm before the blade connected cutting just deep enough to have meaning before the swing moved into a horizontal slash cutting across her abdomen cutting no deeper than the arm wound, in fact the blood barely flowed. thankfully his weapon was just weaker than her hierro could withstand. If it was dramatic actions that powered this guy up it was clear surprise attacks that he had no time to react to might be necessary. leaping back for a moment she blinked away from sight as she performed sonido which likely gave her an edge over the arrancar's responsive speed, she was going in for a kill strike as when she became visible again her hand would nearly be in a hold of the arrancar's dumb face. from the moment she was visible again a bead of energy was forming between her hand and Armero's face. she was honestly tired of his words and would attempt to blow them from his skull with her skull crushing grip combined with her standard cero. sure he could retaliate if he was held but more likely than not she could take a few hits while charging this attack to blow his head clean off. she certainly disliked posers who used cheap means to gain temporary power.

Against literally any other opponent Asla would've won the fight right as she gripped Amero's face. He had been overly pleased that he'd finally managed to draw blood from his opponent which had resulted in another small boost of power. In this moment of joy he had let his emotions get the better of him and let off another sword swing just a moment too slow before she had disappeared in a static pulse. As her hands gripped around his face and the cero reached closer and closer. The heat of it beginning to burn Amero's face. His power increased a little more as the scene was so dramatic to the onlookers however it was for naught. He would not be able to make an attack able to stop her cero before it was already in his face. However Leon de Amero did not just get more powerful from drama. He drew the stuff to him like moths to a flame. If the fight had not reached a truly stunning end then there was no chance of it ending at all. Suddenly like a bolt a figure ran straight for Asla. Before she could fire off the cero intending to smash her over and knock her away from the person she was currently attacking.
This was it. This was the truly dramatic event which marked the end of the battle. Whether Asla won all came down to this. Everything up to this point was merely a warmup.

Casting a glance at the intruder her brow furrowed as she gripped Amero's face even tighter. The cero dissipated between her fingers and along his face becoming little more than hot air as she decided to use Amero as a tool for batting away the rushing figure. With minor effort Amero would be flung up by his head into a swing at the new figure as though he were some kind of bat or club. It was likely very lucky that Amero was as resilient as he was because this use was probably not in his instructions manual. The G-force of the swing would probably be intense as she swung him at maximum force. if she missed he would still be smashed into the ground from the downward swing she had positioned him into. At this point she was getting bored with the fight since all he was doing was boasting his mighty 'power'. It was definitely stretching her patience with him pretty thin. She wasn't sure who the intruder was but she was already branding them as an enemy in regards to this current fight.
