((ICly this takes place before any of the plot happenings~))
Where was the small, white-ish round bouncing ball of fur? Scrunching her nose, Reisx let out a sigh and tred the streets, looking for that same yard she had been near before. Where were the pots, the dirt? The fence? No, so many looked similar. Where was that child of Ai's?
Sniffing the air, Reisx stopped, mid shadow, in the alley adjacent to a house sect filled with different houses, there were voices from inside them and she didn't want to be too close.
She had waited to long to come back, the streets smelled...cleaned, by the wind.
Darn it.
Huffing she peered around, staying to the shadows of near-twilight, checking through breaks in fences to try and spot the familiar face she sought. Her black fur kept her secluded enough, and she stayed as low to the ground as possible as she seemed to probe each fence, peering in. She went down the asile and turned the corner, staying silent, sniffing, alert. She wouldn't be caught off guard. Not with that blasted Imnir about. Regardless, she wanted to see Nef.

Erebus watched Nef from behind the slats of the fence with Dorian. They were in the yard and he was hanging around outside them, not that he couldn't go back in Dorian left the gate open anyway. He just had to get away for a moment. Everything seemed to be settling down and he just wanted a quick breather. Cellen. It had been a long time since he had seen his friend, but that day he had felt great. The designs on the other's body had been rather interesting of course. Though finding out that Nef's dark friend was his mate, well that had thrown him.
Maybe he'd eventually get to meet Cellen's mate. Hoping that all things about her were as good as Cellen, then he could stand to have her near his kids. Heck she could make for a very great aunt.

A scent crossed her nose, almost familiar, as if you would take your most familiar food and mixed it with something a little foreign, something to dull the familiarity. She went for it, turning a corner, hearing some soft commotion, and action, and seeing a mokai by himself, surveying the area. There was a collar round his neck, and he seemed clean, well kept, and had no ill intentions placed across his face.
She stayed to the shadows as she approached, if he heard, he would no necessarily see. She was like a water creature beneath the sea of shadows, and perhaps one might catch a glimpse, but not know for certain what was in the depths unless it chose to reveal itself.
But his features, the color, markings, they were like Nef.
"You her father?" she asked briskly, moving just so, keeping herself low. She wanted to make sure he was not hostile like Imnir.

Erebus was startled from his thoughts by a disembodied voice. He couldn't see her in this dark but it seemed she could see him. "Am I whose father?" he asked as he peered into the dark. Dorian was right there and so was Nef; Erebus worried that this voice might be an attack on his family. "I'm hoping you're not friends with Imnir or I might rip you apart right here."
Hackles raised as he stood firm at the fence's entrance.

"Nef," Reisx said simply, she moved slowly, her intricate fur perhaps somewhat visible as she somewhat stepped into nearby light and then retracted back into the shadows. She let her tail curl round herself as she watched him. Fur bristling, so angry, and when she spoke the fighter's name, her fur bristled as well. "Never... he is no friend of mine, but your daughter is," she stated smoothly, stepping into fine light and blinking, silver eyes meeting his.
She was not so close so that she couldn't get away if she had to, but not too far away that he could not see her clearly.
"I promised her I'd come back," she hesitated, watching him, "I'm Reisx."

"You're Cellen's girl? Well I'll be." Erebus chuckled, his body language changing instantly. "Nef's talked about you a lot. She talks about you almost as much as she talks about my arch rival." Hinting heavily to Imnir. "I have to say, I'd rather you be her friend than that piece of work. Erebus." he gave a slight bow. "At the moment she's busy with Dorian. Though soon she might be going out into the woods with him. She's slowly coming of age to hunt with him. Honestly, I don't approve but I can't tell him that." Tugging his head in the direction of the two idiots in the yard playing. "One day she'll get so big."

"You know Cellen?" she was surprised, but at ease now. This male didn't seem threatened by her, and seemed to be on good terms with Cellen. Geez, she thought to herself, Cellen truly got around the settlement going places and meeting those catching her off guard didn't he? "I am, he is off somewhere, doing...something, if you know him well, you know how he is," she said with a soft laugh.
"Pleasure to meet you, Erebus, you are much kinder and much more of a mokai than that brute. I'd also prefer Nef be friends with me than he," she'd rather Nef stay away from Imnir all together truly.
Ah, so she was busy, theere was a look of disappointment in her eyes.
"Well she must train, and do well," but at his mention of hunting, she looked to the yard, and back to Erebus, "if she goes beyond the walls, near to where I am, until she is fully ready, I can watch her, from afar, if you'd like. There are things brewing I feel, and I'd want her safe. However," she knew Nef would get big, but that would be the problem, "you must understand, if I have to, I'd merely lead her away from my home, or chase her in a different direction. I care for her but must also protect my home, Cellen. I hope you understand."
She didn't need Erebus getting angry with her.

Cellen's mate was intriguing that was for sure. He had to nod at her words though, Cellen seemed to like to run off and do his own thing and then just appear out of the blue. Somewhat frustrating but what better way to keep you on your toes. "He's a catch that's for sure." He laughed, "Glad to know he's got a good mate."
Her comment about his being better than Imnir sure cheered him up. "I would also prefer my daughter to be more your friend than his. If I try to deny her the friendship however, she'll figure some way to defy me and I don't want that."
He had hunted in the wilds before and it had been interesting, he had been foolhardy and arrogant. There were things there that he did want to make sure that Nef wouldn't get hurt out there. "As long as she's safe and doesn't get hurt. That's all I care about. If something were to happen to her..." His voice took a very dangerous tone, "I wouldn't care who got in the way."

Reisx smirked at Erebus' comment. A catch? Sure was, but she liked to think the feeling and thought was mutual between she and Cellen. She arched her tail as he spoke about Nef and Imnir, and she kept her fur from bristling. She didn't want the male near her.
"She'd pick up on it, I suspect, perhaps, in time, she will learn who he really is."
If Nef only knew about the qualms Reisx had with Imnir, might change a few things.
"But, pups, what can you do? I'll be sure to keep a watchful eye, if I can, but I know that Cellen and I aren't the only ones out beyond the walls," the silouette, the voice, for example. "She best be on watch, I don't know them all, and don't know their feelings towards those here, you understand."
But she understood his concern.

"I'm sure she'll be in safe hands when she's out there. Dorian is... he's not like the others here. Honestly I wonder why he had me as a fighter, but it keeps us closer I think." He wasn't about to share Dorian's past with anyone, it seemed inappropriate. Such an invasion of privacy too. "He'd rather help than hurt, he's a great doctor. Though sometimes when he tries to patch me up... well we won't get into that." He made a disgusted face.
His ears heard the whistle and he looked at Reisx, "I think you should get going though. Its getting late and it seems the two monkeys are done playing back there."
