Svang tensed up a little, Maeve was his younger cousin. Someone he didn't want to see hurt.
Maeve stepped closer. Squinting a bit to see her opponent and then she heard Svang give a slight grunt. She knew who it was too. Glancing to Svang, Maeve mouthed an apology and he shook his head. "She'll fight you even if you were her daughter." His voice echoed enough so anyone can hear him.
"That's all I wanted to hear." Maeve nodded and let Ozen unclip her. With the sound of the whistle, Maeve thanked whoever was up there for letting her be first. The dragon horns were enough to kill her on illegal-grounds. Thank god for the legal fight. She had heard about Svang's illegal fight against Mira; she was also afraid of how good her cousin could be in the ring.
Instead of going head on like Svang would, Maeve moved stealthily to the side of the ring and then circled the larger female in a swift turn. Skidding slightly, she stopped and then went after Mira in a break-neck speed. To ensure her attack was a surprise; hopefully. If she managed her surprise-attack she went to use her family's known tactic and head but against the femme's ribcage.

 Fighting Stats Attack: 9% x 1 = 9 Defense: 7% x 8 = 56 Speed: 1% x = 3 Agility: 1% x 5 = 5 Intelligence: 1% x 5 = 5 This was the first fight for Mira after her injury, somehow she'd won the fight but SHE had been the one injured, officially she was fully fit and ready for the pit again, after some training. Unofficially she was still a bit shaken, not that she'd let anyone know about it but she had to admit, she'd missed the furry face of Svang, he'd visited her while she was recovering. She'd rebuffed him and snapped and snarled, cursed him and blamed him but once she was well and had begun training, for some reason he'd not been to see her at Katori's place. She'd sighed a little and halfheartedly entered the ring with Katori. The first thing that hit her was his scent and she looked around, seeing only a female in the pit, one younger than herself too and for the time being, since the female was slowly moving, she had time to scent the air. Strange... she could smell Svang but he was nowhere in sight. She shook her head and glared at the female in front of her. "YOU" she snarled, taking a deep breath in through her nose. She immediately scented Svang all over this female and her stomach knotted, so this was why he hadn't come to see her. Well .. she was going to make this female pay, then she was going to find his kennels and make him suffer... how DARE he. She intercepted Maeve's attack, it was a surprising move but Mira was full of rage right now, so even at the last moment, she met the charge head on, literally.

"W..What about me?!" She said after taking the hit. She teetered back in a limp and shook her head about. Mira had more beef on her, even if Maeve wasn't a scrawny, yet short, Mokai.
More training was needed if Maeve ever wanted to be like Mira. But the truth was, she didn't want to be.
When she got the stars out of her view-point she moved again to run up to Mira and smash into her.

Mira bared her teeth at the female "You reek of HIM" she spat, charging in again before the other Mokai could react, head down she put all her weight behind the attack, biting back the feelings of betrayal by Svang, his stink was all over her, and fresh too so she'd been with him less than an hour before the fight. "I'll kill you" she growled low, her eyes filled with hate.

As she went to dive, it was to late to go back home running.
Yelping heavily when she went to get up and the larger female practically bulldozed her over. Flipping on her side she skidded a bit. Svang from afar winced in pain.
She had felt the horns get into her side pretty thick, blood now trickling down her side. Getting up she shook it off again though. Trooper by far. "I don't know what's gotten into you! Or who he is!? Do you mean Svang? O-Of course I smell like him! I.. I'm his cousin!" She cried out for mercy. "Mira.. This." She coughed. "Is a legal fight! What are you doing?"
With that she shook it off again and coughed. But she went back on track, she meant to give Mira a bit of pay-back for the pain. Moving around she went after the other female with her fangs this time, going to strike the female in the ribcage again. If she didn't get a hold of the fur, she landed and body-checked her on Maeve's good side.

Mira shook her head while her horns were still driven into the other female, wanting to cause as much damage as possible. In the place reserved for the owners, Katori had a lump in his throat, he'd never seen Mira so vicious, tempermental yes but this.... He whistled hard, once to get her attention.
She swayed and backed up on Katori's command, her eyes slighty unfocused as she looked at the pathetic female in front of her "c......cousin?" she mumbled then shook her head again. "No ... you're....you're lying, his cousin a nothing but scraps .. almost a Cull .. you... you're strong... you're a Fighter!" she said, refusing to believe that she might have been wrong but the female had a point, this was a LEGAL fight, which mean no killing.
"Fine... suppose i MIGHT believe you" she said, more to herself than to Maeve but she swayed, and held back from the murderous rage that throbbed in her head. She felt teeth tear at her fur and she twisted, trying to rip her skin from the other's teeth. "Oh no you don't" she sneered, claws raking out to drag at the other female's face

"T..The only reason I am thicker now is because Oz made me this way!" She barked back. She dodged the raking claws by the bit. Lifting her head quickly and then going forward-swiftly to head but the other female in the weak-spot since Mira left it open during the clawing-moments.

Mira wasn't about to concede defeat in admitting she was wrong and she swore loudly when she missed Maeve's face with her claws. BAM! she got slammed in the head and for a second, she saw stars. Shaking her head she turned on the other female, taking it more seriously now... now her blind hate was gone, only the fighting rage remained, she wasted no more breath on words and circled.
Once she saw a weak spot she would charge in, teeth bared at a forelimb.

She flung her body around after Mira and as she went to dodge, Mira did take a bit of fur and cut some skin open. But nothing to, to harsh. She maneuvered around with Mira's body and with the last move, slammed against Mira's body with her own, or went to. Whether or not, on the roll she missed or not was based on how fast she went.

Mira cough/barked (or something vaguely in between) when she got slammed. Not hard enough to roll her but certainly hard enough to put her balance off.
She swerved and swung herself at the younger female, then feigned to one side, swiping at her paws, knocking the female off her feet. Mira stood over her with a nasty grin "Better run back to Oz and train harder... " She didn't admit that the other nearly had her, or that she was impressed.

As she got swiped at, and knocked over. She got up after Mira said that and she glared at Mira. "I do not need to train harder. I walk into fights respecting the other."
She stood up and snarled at her. "Next time you lose trust in my cousin, I will have a say in it. Do you hear me? He loves you far more then any could try." She said in somewhat of an anger towards Mira. She turned her back, "Good fight. Thank you." Maeve said with heart. And respect.
Moving back to Ozen and Svang, Svang's eyes up on Mira, she had known he held his breath to make sure neither of them got hurt to bad.

Mira was turning away to walk back to Katori, now she'd won she had better control over herself. Katori has only just clipped on her leash when Maeve turned her angered words on her. She lunged at the other female, almost tearing the leather from her owner's hands but he snapped his hand shut just in time and Mira was barely inches away from the other's face, teeth bared. "I see Svang hasn't taught you when to shut that flapping mouth of yours" she snarled, her whole body tingling with rage, fur on end.
"Don't presume to know me .... or what i feel" she managed to choke out, straining at the end of the leash before Katoti yanked her off her feet and dragged her out of the fighting ring.
