Bul was not big on tests. They typically came in the form of relentless field trips where students and teachers died and to be perfectly honest the boil was certain that the only reason he ever survived them was he had managed to arrive to them at times in his life where he was just dumb ******** lucky. Now was not one of those times and as confident as he usually was Bul was not counting on making the cut this time, not on the spot like this. As far as any of his recent fights with ghouls was concerned he was definitely a failure in the physical sphere. Perhaps, however, it really WAS a cold that had him down and now that he was feeling better he could pull this off without any fallacies. Given that he was one himself made no difference because if the school was closing he'd be starting from scratch at some dingy new place with a padded curriculum made for keeping students safe and never improving any of their skills.
The thought sent chills down his spine and he grumbled at the idea of being shackled to weakness. If the hunters wanted to take over, they were surely to be successful with Amityville out of the way. He then also wondered if the lack of stipulation would allow for the horsemen to even team up with the humans and enslave the students for good. Now was really not the time to think about that, Bul concluded as he made his way swiftly over to the physical testing area. It seemed this was a popular place for testing seeing groups and familiar faces going at it with the FEAR meter.
Any lasting surge of confidence was now almost depleted when the half beast watched some succeed and others FAIL MISERABLY. His heart sank a little when he knew that there was absolutely no possible way for him to just up and rank within the excelled level especially at the rate that students were doing... not so excelled.
Patience wore thin and Bul stood before the device now and looked up at any watching Boogeymen and swallowed the lump in his throat. Beginning to raise his FEAR in his body the half beast let the ooze secrete from his skin and build around him before he started to lift the snotballs of gunk and hurled them viciously at the device... and they ACTUALLY HIT!
For that brief nervousness Bul suddenly felt a spike of pride in his ability and further contributed his failure with the ghouls to his sudden illness. It all felt right. Although he could've pushed it just a hair stronger, he was satisfied enough to have hit a positive number on the FEAR meter that wasn't miniscule. It made him wonder if he had exhausted himself of the FEAR maybe he would've made double the score but that was asking for too much. One could not rely on using up all their FEAR in battle for the price to pay may not have ever been worth it in the first place.
Proudly Bul patted down his sleeves, still covered in the red gunk from before and swaggered his way out of the testing area with his tail wriggling happily behind him, wishing that Mei had been there to see him. At least the Boogeymen watched right? No need to impress the other students, Jack no. Boogeymen were a bunch of shackled nut jobs. The only Boogey Bul respected had broken rules and cut corners for the safety of her students and to call her a Boogey in the same inflection as the others was downright blasphemous. If he could he would cheer the other students as they were testing but it would be at the risk of angering more of the suits. Instead Bul ventured to turn his exam in and wait amongst any of the others who anticipated the results of the school closure.
