He had hoped to be quiet and discreet about this, but there wasn't much you could do to be discreet about cleaning out your office. And that was exactly what he was doing. Needless to say there had been some curious glances shot his direction as Seth started bringing in boxes and packing them. He really hadn't made any sort of official announcement. He didn't think one would be needed. Seth was certain they wouldn't be missing him.
The Executive worked quietly as he pulled everything from papers, to computer components, to various office supplies, and placed them in the cardboard boxes. Some of it he could just get rid of, others would be placed in stored until he had a place to move them to.
Today there was no yelling of orders, just a somber silence as Seth went about his business.

Somewhere down the road, the news had reached one of the tech department's robotic engineers, one in particular who was both surprised, and saddened about the news that the Executive Seth, would no longer be leading the Tech department.
It had taken a day for the news to sink in, she didn't know the details, how much time he had left with them, but that was pretty much answered when she started to notice the lack of the executives presence at the departments.
She wasn't going to just ignore and deny it, she knew that wouldn't change anything, and the decision of him being put on a new assignment was probably a good thing for him... it was a higher decision anyway. Agent Faleen made her way though the halls of the lower labs, a rout she knew very well, until it lead her to where Seth's office was. Faleen reached up and knocked, like she always did before entering his office. She didn't have anything in her hands this time though, no files, no reports. It was just her.

The door was partly opened, thus Faleen could see in before she knocked. Seth paused and took a moment to glance over his shoulder to see who his visitor was.
"Agent Ewell, did you need something?" Seth asked as he went back to pulling files out of a file cabinet. Hm. Those would have to go somewhere for safe keeping, thus he put them in a separate box.
His tech office had never been a very personal space, the once cold room filled with nothing but a desk, parts, a computer, and other things needed for his work, now looked even more barren than before.

The door was pushed open, and Faleen stepped in, folding her hands behind her back as she closed it back to where it had been before she entered. With another step in she glanced around the room, feeling a sinking feeling of sadness.
"No Sir... nothing in particular." she answered finally returning her gaze to Seth. "I've been told you were no longer going to be lead of this department... I can see that much is true." she made a point in this by glancing around the office again. "I guess I..." Faleen paused not sure how to finish that.

"Hmph, I suppose Agent Hayes must have told you." He was the only one that Seth had really spoken to on the matter, after all.
"No, I won't be leading this department any more. I have other things I need to do." More important things that also benefited the organization, things he had been waiting to do for years. Granted, it would cause things to change.
As he stooped to put the files in the box, Seth paused and tilted his blue gaze to look up at Faleen. "Then was there something you wanted to say?" He had certainly noticed the pause in her speech.

"He did." Faleen answered with a slight nod, Hayes had told her about his own promotion, and of course, the news of Seth's move from the department was brought up.
She still paused, not really sure what she was supposed to say, or what she should say. She came here for a reason though, even if it might not be worked related. "I wanted to say... That its been an honor working for you over the years Sir... and I wanted to thank you." she moved her hands to her side, standing up straight.

Of the things Faleen wanted to say, Seth had certainly not expected that. There was a momentarily stunned expression on his face, brows lifting slightly as he looked to her in disbelief. Why in the world was she thanking him?
Now the Executive stood up, a light frown on his face. "What could you possibly be thanking me for?" Was this some kind of joke? He might have thought that, but he knew that Faleen was not one to kid around. So then... why? He had never done anything special for her. All he had ever done was his job.

The stunned look he gave her was met with a slightly perplexed look of her own, though mildly so. Eyebrows arching, as if questioning what the look was for, before he continued on with his questions.
Faleen tilted her head to the side slightly but answered after a pause. "For everything Sir, I owe a lot of what I know today, as a rocket, as an agent, to you. You've been a strong lead, and a knowledgeable example in my career. For that I can't be more grateful."

Seth wasn't use to people expressing gratitude towards him. This was a rather rare thing, and he wasn't sure how to react to it. So he just huffed and continued with his packing.
"Nothing I did was any different from how I trained other recruits. You simply rose above the rest and stood out. You succeeded where others failed." The credit should mostly go to Faleen for her self discipline and talents.
And yet...
"But, you're welcome."

"And I am of the opinion they should be thanking you as well." She said, lowering her head a little with a more serious look to her when she said this.
She fell quiet when she continued to talk, not interrupting him, even as a small smile feathered the corners of her lips, and she nodded gregariously. lifting her head once again.
"... Was there anything I could help you with sir?" She asked, glancing around the items in the room.

The offer of help drew a glance as Seth continued to place file folders into the box. Paper work sure piled up fast.
"Shouldn't you be working?"
He was sure that Faleen had her own things to get back to. She didn't need to be helping him clear out his office. Besides, he didn't really need the help anyway.
Reaching the lower drawer of the cabinet, he opened it to find various kinds of tools and spare computer parts. He grunted in annoyance as he started pulling out stuff that he didn't have any use for. It had been a while since he'd done any spring cleaning.
"I suppose you need or want any of this crap."

A glove hand lifted in a light gesture. "At the moment, no I'm on a lunch break at the moment, Sir" She explained, knowing she had a bit of time left before she would return to her work, and nothing pressing needed her attention, things were running fairly smooth.
With a curious frown, Faleen stepped forward to see what Seth was talking about, hands folding behind her back as she leaned over to look at what he was talking about. "..." Reaching out she picked up one particular tool, turning it over in her hands, and examining the brand and condition. "I don't think so. But I can see where we could put them with the supplies, if you like."

She was spending her lunch break over here with him? An executive that practically nobody liked, and who was soon leaving. And she had offered to help him no less. It was certainly safe to say that not many people would do that.
"That's fine," Seth said dismissively about putting the things with the supplies. As long as they got used, he didn't mind at all. He didn't care to waste anything, but there was no reason he should take them.
"You can help if you have nothing better to do with your lunch break," he grumbled. Although, deep down, he didn't mind the company. Things had been far too quiet and lonely for him while Nadja had been gone. And he was beginning to wonder if he'd even get to see her before he left.

She straightened up from looking down at the items he had put out, and looked back to her superior once again. "Alright Sir. What would you like me to do?" She asked, taking a moment to observe the boxes in the room and what has yet to be packed.
Of course she would help him, she couldn't really think of anything else that would come over this. It looked like he had most of it finished already. She found looking around it was making her feel a little... Empty was it? He really was leaving.

"These boxes need to be put in storage," Seth told her. There wasn't a whole lot left to pack. There hadn't been a lot of stuff to begin with really. Packing up his executive office would certainly take longer.
As he started to put the last things into a box, he looked around at the now empty space. Even though he was supposed to be moving on to greener pastures essentially, it still felt like he was leaving a piece of himself behind. Ugh.. now he felt like he was getting old or something. Like he was being "put out to pasture." Bah.
"You can help carrying these," Seth grumbled, irritated at his own thoughts as he picked up a box.
