Ahh, Christmas! Eva's favourite holiday, and one that she was--surprisingly enough--looking forward to despite the fact that she wouldn't be able to spend it with her family. The news of the gala had gotten her excited, though there had been the pressing issue of what to wear (which was quickly resolved), and then...
...A date? Really? "Mmm...I'm not sure about a date," Eva told Chara as she pulled on her coat, "But I do know some people who I'd love to see there." Reine, for one, though she was certain that the other girl intended on going. As for the other person...
Good thing he lived right across the hall. Eva rapped on his door a couple of times in what could have been considered an impatient manner. And the moment he opened the door, he would be assaulted with an excited, "Hey, hey, puppy? You'll be attending the gala, right?"

Bahumbug and all that shmoo!
Was Otto a Grinch about Christmas? Maybe, maybe not. Hard to tell with him, considering he never seemed happy. The festive decor and music seemed to only make the teen sneer and grumble more audibly.
The annoying rapping on his door was not ignored. The young man swung the door open with a look of irritation to find Eva on the other side. A very excited Eva.
"No."
He slammed the door.

How rude!
Eva stood outside of Otto's door with her hands on her hips, staring at the door as if she was trying to burn it down with her gaze alone. However, it seemed that that would not be necessary. She reached out and grabbed the doorknob with the intention of obnoxiously rattling the door until he gave in, but to her surprise, the knob turned in her hand.
He had forgotten to lock it.
A Cheshire grin curled on her lips. Without any warning, she threw the door open, located where Otto was, and pounced. "Not so fast, puppy!"

Give the guy a break. He's blonde. Locking the door did not come to mind.
The young man turned his head as the door swung open, somehow not expecting the girl to even try coming inside. "Wha---hey!" He was shut up quickly as the girl pounced him, letting out a disgruntled noise and squirming in her grasp. "What'ya want, woman?" He growled, grabbing her arms to pry her away.

Eva clung to him as tightly as she could, though instead of a frustrated expression or a pout, she was still grinning. "The Christmas Gala. Sounds fun, doesn't it?" She chirped cheerfully, as if Otto wasn't desperately trying to pry her free, "What I want is for you to go. Not necessarily with me as a date, mind you, but I just want you there in general."
...So that she stalk after him with the mistletoe and help him get kisses from all the pretty female trainees and Hunters who would be there. Sounded like a good deal, yeah?
Eva thought so, anyways.

"Not really!" Otto grouched from within Eva's hold on him. The second he had first heard of it, he knew it wasn't for him. A gathering of bright and cheerful Holiday do gooders dancing and making merry. No thanks!
"Ya want me there? Why? I ain't interested and it sounds stupid!" The teen said with a sneer.

Aww, what a grumpy-face, just that mean old Scrooge--
--...Heeeey, if he didn't agree...maybe she and Reine could each dress up as one of the ghosts and visit Otto in the middle of the night? He wouldn't make it very hard either if he forgot to lock his door again.
His question was answered with no hesitation at all. "Because you're our puppy and we love you. And because it'll be good to socialize with the other trainees!"

"I don't wanna socialize with anybody." Otto pouted, turning his head and crossing his arms. How he managed to make friends with these girls at all was way beyond him, other than they were pushy. He'd never admit aloud that he liked their company. He figured the presents spoke for him.
"No one wants me there, and I don't wanna be there." He didn't seem to want to expand his circle at all. "Dunno if ya noticed, but I ain't nice." He'd already made a few enemies within the facility.

"We want you there," Eva was quick to pipe up, angling her head down, widening her eyes, and peering up at Otto beneath her lashes with the best puppy-dog face she could manage, "You're our friend! ...And our puppy! It won't be the same without you."
It really wouldn't. Who would they harass? Who would they drag around to talk to other people? Who would they cling to and hug for no reason?
...Just remember that the girls love you, Otto.
"Pleaaase? I mean, I'm sure we can get you a suit!"

Otto stared down, eyes widened ever so slightly. Well...shoot. Batting those pretty lashes at him and everything. "F...fine. Whatever. I'll go." Hook. Line. Sinker.
"I don't need a suit. I got five." He muttered, rubbing his neck.

The only possible way to describe Eva's mood right now would be: 8DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
Yeah, she was happy.
"You're the best, puppy!" She beamed, finally releasing her hold on the poor boy, "We'll get you a suit, and do your hair, and--" She froze, staring at Otto with wide eyes. For a good few seconds (which was a record for Eva), she was completely silent.
Finally, "Five?"

"Yeah.." Otto said, his eyes slowly moving to the side. He huffed a sigh, and moved toward his closet. It is to be noted he had to step on piles of clothing to get there.
When he opened it up, there were 5 suits lined neatly on hangers inside of suit bags to protect them from dust. "M'family are undertakers. Grew up in a funeral home. So I had ta dress up a lot when I helped out." He murmured with a shrug, stepping back. Truly, the neat order of the suits contrasted his messy and out of sorts bedroom, with dirty and clean laundry strewn about every which way.

With each step that it took to get to the closet, Eva bent down to scoop some of the clothing into her arms, her expression disapproving. Okay, she knew that Otto was a teenage boy...but it was a pigsty in here!
Aah--so that's what Otto's family did, was it? "That makes sense!" She answered, her voice...muffled?
If the boy were to turn around, he would find that Eva was half-buried in a pile of clothes that she carried in her arms. "Problem is, I can't see the suits right now."

Otto blinked, furrowing his brows and looking over at Eva. Who had now become the clothing pile called Eva.
"What're you doin, woman?" Otto grouched, taking the pile of clothes from her and dumping them behind him. There goes her hard work.

Aw, man! "I was cleaning up your floor," She sighed, running a gloved hand through her hair, "Really Otto, how do you live in all of this? It's..." Wrinkling her nose, she stared at the pile of clothing behind him in distaste.
Oh well, no matter. Eva turned her attention to the closet then, peering in and--woah. The girl's eyes immediately lit up as she whirled around to face Otto, clapping her hands with a silly little grin on her face.
"Awesome! So, which one are you going to wear?" [Insert giant doe-eyed expectant stare here].
