I heard on NASCAR radio this morning that Red Bull was not able to find a buyer, and that today was the last day for the NASCAR operation. I feel for all the people there who just got laid off. cry

I heard today that Michael Waltrip racing is looking at buying what's left of Red Bull; the cars, the machines, and the points. I'm not sure about the buildings though.

It sounds like the MWR deal fell through.
On the same gloomy note, Rusty Wallace's Nationwide series shop has closed today as well due to lack of sponsorship. crying

There's a rumor going about that an 11th hour deal has been reached for the Red Bull operation to be sold and reopened. They've been dancing around the details on Nascar radio, but it sounds like one or both cars could be racing this year for a different sponsor. A manufacturer change could also be in the works...
