Jerry was still unconscious as he was manhandled into the medical facility. He was uncontentious as his wounds were tended to, and he was unconscious as the bleeding stopped. He was unconscious as the cookies worked their way through his system and the Joy delved deep down into the other side of the emotional spectrum. He didn't know how long it was before the room swam into focus and he gave a groan. "R.... Reine?" He mumbled weakly, giving a hiss as he tried to get up. The last thing he remembered was their fight, and asking her if she thought they aught to quit... and then a flash of movement and searing pain... "An... anyone?" He squinted. His glasses couldn't be far... someone had taken them off of him while he had... slept. Or whatever. He could feel bandages and a dull ache, that told him enough. Huh. The smell of disinfectant at least clarified that he would live.

The doctor sat in the chair beside the bed, writing in a small notebook. At the trainee's voice, he looked up with a smile the other man couldn't see. "Jerry, Jerry, Jerry..." he began, voice slow and drawling, "...beaten down so handily by one of my own fresh young things. What could have possibly happened out there, dear boy?"

At the sudden voice from the figure he hadn't seen, Jerry jumped, but relaxed as recognition set in. "Oh... Doctor! It's just you..." Thus far his experience with the man hadn't lead him to be suspicious of any motives, which was more than likely for the best. "She ah... t-took me by surprise, I think, ahahaha. A bit too much sugar, I'm sure. It... it happens to the best of us," He winced again, sitting back before groping about for any bedside table his glasses might have been on, "How... how long was I... um... out?" He tried to not feel ashamed of what had happened, getting beaten by a young girl, but well... they were all running around with very dangerous weapons. It was healthy to remember what they wielded. "Does Candace know?"

Setting down the notebook, the doctor picked up the glasses off the table before Jerry's hand could reach them. "Now, now...do relax. No need to be up and about just yet, hm? I'd hate to see you strain yourself after such a close call." His smile widened, teeth glinting under his hood, "I haven't contacted Candace just yet, no. Would you like me to?"

Jerry sensed movement, but alas, it was all a blur. His hand still groped for his glasses on the empty counter before he gave up with a sigh, "Er... n-no... that's alright, but thank you," He laughed again weakly, settling for surveying the damage to his chest tenderly by touch. "I don't think ah... Miss Reine would appreciate that sort of thing spreading around. I'm sure she'll find out eventually anyway." He cleared his throat, smiling absently at a spot about a good five inches to Dr. H's left, "I er... suppose what doesn't kill me makes me stronger, right? Ahahaha..."

The doctor laughed along with him, adding jovially, "Unless it maims you of course, Jerry." He continued chuckling, "And there's always a good chance of that, you know. But really, so have you in such terrible shape, no I won't tell Candace, such a sweet girl. But I do worry for you, Jerry. You show such promise, after all. Is there perhaps anything amiss lately? Any troubles that may cause your performance to be ahh...slightly lacking?"

Jerry laughed again, although this time it was out of nervousness and he immediately regretted anything louder than a chuckle, hissing and clutching at his bandages. Okay. Just... lay back a bit longer. No harm in recouping. "Er... aside from... the usual? Ahahaha..."
He picked at the bandage on his chin. Troubles? Specific or general? "It's... been... er... f-fairly stressful adjusting to life here, I admit but... I mean, it might be a bit of fatigue." He felt he was a bit of a trouper, honestly. He was doing well, really! Alright, so maybe his... phobias weren't any better, but even under the best of circumstances it took people years to deal with certain things, and he was... making *progress* at least. He wasn't freezing as much and kept some form of clarity... Things with Candace had been going pretty well, he felt. Very well. The fact she was still speaking to him at all after his... inexperience and awkwardness was a miracle. No, if anything, that was a part of his life that actually seemed to be going *right* for once.
If anything... this was all Robert's fault. Jerry's slightly cross-eyed expression darkened into a bit of a frown. "Well, there had been something that's bothered me." He glanced up to where he hoped was the Doctor and not just a spare coat on a nearby rack before settling on scowling at what he could only hope was the bed-side table. "But it seems so banal in the grand scheme of things. Not worth maiming over, anyway. I do hope to avoid that, generally."

Unfolding the glasses, the doctor looked through them and winced. poor man must be practically helpless right now. He pocketed them with a smile. "it's those small, petty things that need to get worked out first, Jerry. For want to a nail the shoe was lost and all that. I imagine your own promotion is coming soon enough, among other things, best to begin that next stage with such things squared away, don't you agree?"

"Y-yes sir, I suppose it is..."Jerry murmured quietly, checking the other side fr his glasses helplessly, but there wasn't even a table to grope. "Still a bit to go though. If I live that long, ahahahaha. But... that's what training is all about, huh?" He settled back against the pillow, "As for the er... bothersome thing, It's nothing I can't... tend to with perseverance, I'm sure. You'd laugh if I told you."

"Jerry," the doctor sighed, with a slight hint of exasperation, "...you do recall that the first time we met in person, you fainted? And that I've already had the dubious pleasure of seeing you prance around in a tiara and copious amounts of pink satin? I may very well laugh at you, dear boy, but please don't consider that as anything out of the ordinary."

The temporarily blind hunter gave an exasperated sigh that he regretted soon after, clutching at his bandages with a sour expression. Dr. H had a point, when it came to his "Robert Morris." He finally hissed. "He hardly tends to his duties, I NEVER see him training, he's just...." He trailed off, "And worst of all WORST of all, he REFUSES to join in my project! It's not even like it's anything intensive or immaculate, it's more of... of just a little silly thing during lunch breaks or something! But nooooo he's got to be an absolute... DIVA about it all!" It would seem that with creatures trying to kill him left and right to the point of never sleeping with the light off, nerves on edge and even fresh with scars the man's main concern was Robert's apparent stage fright. He snorted, "I don't think that's what's necessarily made me make ALL of my bad decisions, but it's certainly what's gotten me here now."

The doctor, did, in fact, burst out laughing, "Morris?! Oh, Jerry. Jerry, Jerry, Jerry. You and Clarice should start a club. Robert Morris...that fellow, I admit he is one of my own trainees, but the only real ability he's shown so far is to make others look good by comparison." He chuckled again, "I don't mind him so terribly, myself, but it must be painful indeed, to pin any kind of hopes on the boy. And he is a boy, Jerry. With a boy's temperament and insecurities."

"Nuts to insecurities," Jerry snorted, turning his head away, "Have you seen my eyes, by the way?" He sighed, rubbing his temples before settling back down again, "I bet if he just pulled his head out of his own bum for two minutes..." He huffed before finally sighing. "I told you it was silly. At least that's the worst of my social worries here, ahahahaha. I can't really complain much about the rest."

The doctor brought out his phone, and began writing a text, "Oh you mean your glasses? Hmm...possibly they were lost in transport, I'm sure the quartermaster will have another set for you. In the meantime, just rest up. Take the opportunity to plot Robert's...ah, eventual capitulation." Dr. H Clarice, head over to the quartermaster to retrieve all the eye wear assigned to Mr. Collins. Just leave them leave in my office.

"Oh," Jerry frowned, "I suppose I could try to text Candace to bring me some new ones or something... I might have a back up pair in my room," He didn't like the idea of her knowing he got himself hurt. Especially over a rather pointless seeming vendetta. "Pretty much blind without them ahahaha..." He leaned up again in search of his phone. If he held it really close to his face he might be able to make out the buttons...
