Laeh sat in a field, a map before her. She studied it carefully, making crosses, lines and other various markings on locations that tickled her fancy, or those that she'd already explored. It had been too long since her last adventure and she was getting restless. No one had any rumours or stories. Nothing.
Rolling onto her back, Laeh stared up at the sky. She needed to meet more soquili. They would have stories and rumors and leads for adventures. Rolling back over she stared at the map, trying to think of anything at all that would point her to her next direction. Mountains? Deserts with buried cities? Bodies of water with sunken ships?
Nothing came to mind. She screamed, crumpled the map and threw it into the bushes.

Inkling had been on the road since early morning, walking through the open area like a spectre made entirely out of ink, paper and a dollop of imagination. She left inky hoofprints where she tred and her hair, which was always continuously swirling with images that danced within her mind, curled lazily into pictures of faeries and mythical winged creatures.
Sometimes she fancied she was one of those creatures, and any who came to her domain (wherever that happened to be at the time) would bring about her blessing or her wrath. Such fanciful thoughts often fueled her storytelling, nothing was more important than a good show, Horus had taught her that.
Her ears pricked up at a sound and the inky pictures her hair made blurred as she focused on finding the source of that sound. It wasn't a pleasant sound at all, more like a frusterated yell, perhaps Cinderella had tired of her chores, perhaps there was a grumpy troll somewhere! It could happen... She smiled, entertained by her own thoughts, her tail swishing behind her with the sound of rustling paper as she walked in the direction the sound had come from.

Laeh's ears perked up, her eyes darting around as she herd the sound of someone approaching. She wiggled under a bush and peeked in the direction, eying the creature. She watched, mesmerized as pictures surrounded the creature, always changing, always telling a new adventure. Pirates, princesses, dragons and witches. Everything Laeh could imagine made an appearance.
Marvelous.
Laeh wiggled out of the bush, tugging at the butt to pull it free. She rolled onto the ground in front of the creature with a thud. "Damn bush, trying to turn me into a dryad." Standing, she eyed the creature. She was very odd, which excited Laeh more than anything ever had.
"What.." she breathed out with a dreamy sigh. "Are you?"
Laeh's wings wiggled, her whole body shivering with excitement. Perhaps this would lead to an adventure or something interesting.

She simply stared down at the colorful little creature that had wriggled it's way from under a bush, her eyes were hard and gray, but not cruel or indifferent, entrapping her image like a bug in amber. After a second or two a smile painted it's way across her maw and a rolling chuckle escaped from her throat " A dryad ey? i know many stories about dryads...but i do not believe bushes can turn you in to one." She commented. Her long tail swished behind her with a constant dry rustle " What am i? i am imagination...i am living liturature, i am art...but most of all, i am Inkling." She flicked an ear and the ink of her mane made rather artistic question marks " and what are YOU?" She inspected the little mare, never had she seen one so tiny...perhaps she was a pixie...or a dwarf...there were female dwarves somewhere. The ink of her made sketched light pictures of the little mare in the air.

Laeh eyed the bush with a glare. "I dunno.. It looks suspicious to me." She quickly turned her attention back to the mare in front of her and was captivated once more by the swirling ink that created images. She shook her head, snapping free.
"I'm Laeh. I'm a putti." Her wings fluttered. And," she puffed out her chest, standing proud. "Adventurer extraordinaire." She grinned sheepishly, whispering. "Though most of the adventures are in my mind. A lot less dangerous that way."
Laeh watched the ink sketch a picture of her and she giggled, prancing around Inkling. "So.. literature, huh? You must know some good stories. Maybe even legends about treasure." Laeh came back around and plopped down in front of the mare. "It's been a while since I've heard a story."

Inkling wasnt good or evil, much more in a gray area really when it came to small cute things running across her path. But coming to these lands had been new and interesting and for certain she had never met such small dainty creatures where she had come from, or traveled to. " A putti?" she questioned, raising an inky eyebrow as her mane squiggled the word in the air " Adventurer?" she repeated, a smile tugging at her lips " what fortune, as am i...exactly the same in fact...i am an adventurer of stories~" she swished her tail behind her in emphasis, her papery scales rustling " there are always fools after treasure, but normally those end in...despair" she murmured, her eyes lighting with the suggestion of a dark tale. " Normally i do not work with such a small audience~ but i can tell you one if you wish it~"

Laeh watched the mare swish her tail curiously. She was very intrigued by her; having not met one like her before. This was new. Exciting. Wonderful. "It's like.. miniature angeni. Except I can't fly." Nodding excitedly, she spoke. "Uhn! I fight pirates and sirens, dragons and witches, vampires and werewolves. Rescue princes and princesses, find treasure and save kingdoms."
Of course Laeh had never actually done all of these things. They'd only ever been in her mind. She'd found a few treasures here and there; mostly small trinkets - though she cherished them as if they were worth all the gold in the world. "Those fools didn't have me on their team! That's why they didn't get the treasure," Laeh answered, oblivious to the inclination of death. "I promise I'm small but I'll cheer as loud as any crowd if your story is worth it."
