Okay so being scary was harder than one would think. Mitsu had spent countless hours after acting class staring at the glow in the dark paint wondering what she should do, who she should scare, and how in the name of Halloween she was supposed to use this paint. He had said no gnomes and sadly that probably would have been her first choice though doubtful it would have been any more successful. They were small but rather ruthless at times.
Sighing she poked the paint looking a little deflated. Paint wasn't very scary on its own...not unless you feared paint. It also made her thoughts go back to something she had thought on earlier. Did Shun ever get scared? Frustrated maybe, angry yes, but she had never seen him scared.
Trying to refocus on her task Mitsu lifted the container of paint and flipped the top open. She seemed to hesitate a moment before she squeezed a bit of the liquid on her fingers, the paint glowing dimly in the fading light of day. Mitsu hesitated a little longer just staring as she tried to decide on what to do before she finally smeared the paint along her arm in a strange and pointless pattern. Accessing what she had done Mitsu moved her arm this way and that before deciding perhaps this was the way to go. It was at least something.
It took the lycan another solid hour to prepare, the sun having set some time ago. Her handy work complete she stood back to see how she had done glancing at herself in the mirror. True she had made some patterns some of it looking like tribe face paint, but she couldn't help but feel like a little scareling playing with finger paints.
At least she had a direction and now with the sun down the paint glowed against her skin in the dark. Now to just find someone to scare........huff puff.

While night walks were not uncommon for the reaper normally, Mot had been taking fewer of them as of late. The recent run in with the hunters had shook the boil hard, and while he had been doing much more training to prepare he knew that it wouldn't be enough if he ran into a hunter alone.
Foxfires were not proper protection, but Mot thought bringing FooFoo on the walk would be a good idea. The pup needed the exercise, and Mot thought he might warn him ahead of time if something was coming.
FooFoo frolicked about in the grass of an open area on school grounds, as Mot watched on the sidelines.

Mitsu had been pacing the courtyard trying to decide on who to scare or where to go. Maybe it would be best to go into town? It was dark now but people were much more abundant. Maybe she should have asked Jericho to team up with her for this homework assignment. He was rather scary...when he wasn't just yelling.
Soon she spotted someone, a figure in the distance. In the dark she really couldn't make out who it was but they were suddenly a prime target for her homework assignment. Stealth! She needed to be quiet and unseen.
With the grace of a three legged warble she took to the bushes, peeking out only shortly after to secure the location of her target. Yes, this would work. She had the advantage of being behind him and now had cover...thankfully because the glow in the dark paint gave her position away otherwise.
Sinking back down into the shrubbery Mitsu eased her way closer, wiggling through the branches unwilling to be seen. She made noise though, plenty of it. Like an animal trapped in the bushes but still trying to make its way through. Stealthy.

Something wicked this way comes...
FooFoo heard the rustling before Mot did, though his own ears caught the sound soon after. The foxfire stopped playing, and immediately made a dash for the bushes, barking loudly.
"FooFoo, what is it?" Mot asked in a harsh whisper. "Cut it out, you'll wake the--" Mot stopped then. What if... just maybe.. there was a hunter on campus? One never knows, after all.
"...come back out.. FooFoo...get back here." He whispered louder, hesitant to approach the bushes. But his pet's barking had ceased, causing him to worry.
FooFoo had found Mitsu, sitting in front of her and wagging his puffy tail to and fro. He seemed entranced by the ghoul's glowing paint!

"....Doggy..." Was Mitsu's whispered voice before she cringed knowing the foxfire was going to give her away. Huff Puff what was she going to do now? Bringing a finger up to her mouth she 'shh'ed softly trying to get the foxfire to quiet but it seemed that it soon became distracted by her paint. It was odd...this foxfire looked familiar. FooFoo? Why was that name familiar? Curious indeed.
Slowly she reached for the puff with legs, patting it gently before picking him up. "Good FooFoo..." She whispered softly. Maybe her cover wasn't blown just yet. She had stopped moving, so the noise from the bushes had stopped. All was quiet as long as FooFoo decided time to make noise was over.

FooFoo seemed appeased as he was petted, and panted happily at being picked up. He didn't make a peep, seeming to understand that this was some kind of game. FooFoo loved games!
Mot, however, was growing more worried. FooFoo was too quiet, and it was too dark to see if he was inside the bushes. Worriedly, he crouched down, trying in vain to peek through branches. "FooFoo? Come out, buddy.." His vice was shaky, and not in as much of a whisper as he had been previously.

If Mitsu had a moment she probably would have cuddled the fluff happily and rolled around ready to play. Oh how tempting. Maybe Foofoo liked balls.
Back on task! Back on task!
The figure was closer now, peering into the bushes. The voice caught her attention though, the air of familiarity hitting her as he whispered for the foxfire. Mot? That explained FooFoo...how had she not realized? Inwardly Mitsu sighed. Did she really want to try and scare him? And would he even be scared?
After a moment of hesitation Mitsu decided it was worth a try. She couldn't imagine the reaper being scared but who knew. Perhaps she could actually muster the ability to be scary enough.
Crouching into position Mitsu waited in silence until Mot was close enough, the air of mischief hinting on her features as the opportune moment presented itself. "Ready FooFoo?" She whispered, though without further warning the lycan sprang up, the foxfire raised high above her head (like something from the lion king) and yelled, "Boo!" Oh yes, she was frightening beyond measure.

He heard whispering, and leaned closer towards the bush.. Mot screamed like a banshee. And promptly fainted.

For a moment Mitsu wasn't sure what happened. The scream had made her lay her ears back from the shrill noise, her eyes clenching shut. She brought FooFoo close, cuddling the foxfire before she dared open her eyes...and in time to see Mot faint.
.....
.......
..................
"Ah! FooFoo we were too scary!" Promptly Mitsu began to make her way out of the bush. Or at least tried to. The branches snagged her skirt and her feet kept getting caught. Inevitably she fell, tripping her way out of the bush to land on her face. She had enough of her wits about her to hold the foxfire above her head to keep from crushing the tiny critter beneath her at least.
"Ow..." She mumbled into the ground before gently placing the foxfire down so that she could push herself up. The lupine tried to wipe the dirt from her paint covered face before moving toward Mot and sitting beside him on her knees. It looked like he was out cold. "Big...Brother?" She asked cautiously poking his head lightly. In the back of her mind there were two thoughts. One: accomplishment. She had done what she had needed to for her assignment and with great success. She felt like the scariest ghoul on campus at the moment. Two, she felt bad, she had scared her big brother into fainting. Being scary was a terrible power she would have to learn to control. With great power comes great responsibility.

Twas the moment after fainting And all through Mot's head Not a gear was turning Not a gear in his head
But slowly and surely As the boil came around Visions of Mitsu Came bursting abound
With a shear cry of fear With a jolt he sat up Bonking heads with the Lycan Making FooFoo crack up

For a moment Mitsu wasn't sure if Mot was going to come around. He was completely out of it but finally he seemed to move and shift giving some sort of sign of life. Mitsu watched him carefully leaning forward to see if he was okay.
"M..Mot?" His eyes had flown open but that wasn't what had startled her. It was the cry that followed only to have their heads crack together shortly after. Mitsu grabbed her forehead a little disoriented, falling backward and landing in the grass. "Ow...." Came her murmured groan. Twice she had scared him and this time it had hurt. Yes, she would have to reel in her abilities. Who knew glow in the dark face paint would be so effective.

Mot lay on the grass with his hands clutching his forehead, whining from the pain. "Mi..Mitsu?" Mot asked finally, sitting up and looking down at the ghoul.
"Why are you...uh..." Well, why a lot of things. The face paint, the hanging out in a bush at night.
He cast a glare at FooFoo, who seemed to be very proud of himself for helping to scare Mot.

There was a light groan as Mitsu moved her hand enough to look up at Mot. "S..Sorry Mot. I didn't mean to scare you...well...I did but I didn't think you would...umm..faint." She tried to explain.
Slowly she sat up rubbing her forehead looking over toward FooFoo. He seemed rather pleased. "I'm working on a homework assignment." The lycan continued to explain. "Thus the paint." She started to rub at the glowing markings along her arms and slowly they began to fade.

Ugh. Faint. Men don't faint. Except he totally had.
"Well, I guess you completed it then? Was that all you had to do? Scare someone with.. glowing paint." Mot asked nervously, looking over the strange medium on the ghoul's arms. Part of him wanted to explain it had been his paranoid mindset about hunters that freaked him out, since their weapons glowed and everything. But the other part didn't want to belittle Mitsu's work. She truly had scared him, after all.
FooFoo's tail was a blur of movement in the darkness, his beady little eyes practically sparkling with his accomplishment. He felt so close to Mitsu now. They totally bonded! The foxfire seemed to inch closer to the Lycan, staring up at her expectantly.
"Did you um.. have to do this by yourself? It worries me to see you out at night all alone."

"Y..yeah, sorry Mot. I really hadn't picked you as a target you were just here. I didn't realize I was so scary." Despite feeling bad it was obvious Mitsu felt rather proud of herself. She had been scary after all. Her!
Turning to her partner in crime Mitsu smiled down at the little poof before picking FooFoo back up and cuddling him. "FooFoo was scary too." She cooed her tone showing her high spirits. "Who is the scariest foxfire of them all? Yes, its you." Now she was just being silly.
Mot's last question made Mitsu frown. She had started before it had gotten dark but night had fallen before she knew it. "W..well I guess not, I suppose I could have gotten Jericho to help. He was my partner in class." Though all they had managed to do was yell at each other. That hadn't been very effective. "And its glow in the dark paint...I had to wait until it was well...dark." It made sense to her anyway. "I made sure to stay by the school." She noted though now that she saw him worrying she wondered if she should have been more cautious.
Suddenly her arms came up to wrap around herself like she was cold having a look around as if to verify no one was near. She didn't smell anyone one else, she didn't hear anyone else. "Do...do you think they'll come back?" Mot no doubt knew what she was talking about.
