 The sun was shining brightly overhead its rays extending down to the earth bellow it. Little did the sun know there was a small mare resting in the tall long grasslands. She was smaller than most others the oddest part being she looked more like a deer than anything else. She was smiling to herself enjoying the sun as she always did on days like this. She had all the time in the world to herself not a worry on her mind enjoying the slight breeze. Here was where she felt safe neessled in the tall grass where she blended in to be nearly invisible only to be see to those with a trained eye.
She did have many worries though but right now she pushed them out of her mind. She was used to this life but sometimes she felt lonely seeing the other creatures in pairs and her being alone. She has met many stallions before but none ever seemed to understand her thinking. Someday though..she knew the perfect stallion would find her..or she would find him.

 Rhamiel moved slowly through the tall grass nibbling the tender buds of the long whistle grass. It was always his favorite snack even since he was a colt. A shoot of it tickle his nose and he sneezed loudly and shook his head before continuing to nibble the grass. Suddenly his ears perked forward the wind had just outright stopped. This was weird. He extended his neck and looked about noticing a small area of the grass that was missing in a circular area. He cocked his head and curious wandered over to the area completely unaware of the mare laying in the grass.

Her ears twitched as she thought she heard something. She went deathly still to make sure there were no more sounds. She slowly relaxed deciding the noise was only a trick of her mind she could of swore she heard something sneeze though. She closed her eyes again and stretched out back to enjoying the sun and the weather. Suddenly she felt the grass move and heard it rustle fast as a deer she was up looking around wildly. She then felt something hit her turning around in a circle not seeing anything. This was very odd...What had made the noise and bumped into her?
Only then did she see the stallion who blended in with the grass as much as she did. Startled she almost fell over her daintiness not providing much help. She quickly regained herself though and took to looking the stallion over admitting in her mind he was quite good looking.He looked like her in a way having antlers and split hooves and a short tail. He must be like her she assumed.

Rhamiel bumped into something that was laying down in the grass. He lowered his heads into the thick shoots and came face to face with a lovely Soquili who oddly looked a lot like himself in the fact they both had horns, short tails, and split hooves.
"Oh my miss. I didn't mean to step all over you. Are you alright..?" His voice was a deep baritone that rumbled like lazy thunder.

SHe frowned when the stallion ducked down to her level watching him enter her space. This gave her more time to observe him and the fact he was just like her horns and all the one fact remaining he had a mane and she did not. She felt the need to speak her mind but instead she felt playful and excited "Im perfectly fine no thanks to you..but thanks for asking" she smiles sweetly at him laughing some at her own joke "My name is Larena who might you be?"
She was shocked at his voice as low as it was but she assumed it was due to his size. Her voice was soft and could be carried by the wind. She thought his would be lost since it was so deep.

Rhamiel chuckled a little at her joke for even he got it. "Well I don't usually step on lovely mares often and it was quite a surprise for me to find someone so lovely hiding her face from the world in the tall grass." His voice held laughter.
She was so small though, he had seen a mare so small but so fiesty. He definitely liked her.
"My name is Rhamiel. Is there anything I can do to make it up to you for stepping all over you..? Anything at all name it and I will make it happen!" He didn't know what he was doing by saying anything.

She could not stop herself from smiling at the towering stallion. "Well most mares are not dainty enough to hide in grass" she winks at him "Most of them would be spotted from a mile away no skills needed" she starts to circles the stallion "I may say you look quite nice yourself" she smiles at him again "Besides..ive not met someone who looks like me before" she joins in his slight laughter "Its is nice that you ran into me i suppose..it is nice to meet you Rhamiel the tall" he nods at him giving him a title like she always does to help remember those she meets "As for making up..perhaps a walk and a sharing of knowledge would suffice?"

He almost blushes when she said he looked rather good himself, but being such a manly Cerynei he resisted the urge. Rhamiel watched the mare circle around him and almost chuckled at his new title of The Tall. "Aye. I suppose that would be more than fair. So what would you like to know m'dear..?"
Rhamiel shook his curly black mane out and nickered a little at the nice feeling it gave.

She finally stands up and only come to about his shoulder staring up as his face. "Yes i would say the tall fits you quite well..or we could go with the towering" she laughs and smiles at him nodding "It does seem fair to me..First question..who were your parents?" she cocks her head to one side wondering how he got his looks similar to hers "I always thought my mother was a doe but you never know..i dont remember mine much" she nods again watching his shake his long mane twitching her tail in response "What a long mane you have.." She bends down and puts some grass on her head "Hows that??"

Rhamiel gave a nickering laugh when she put some grass on her head to simulate a mane. He lightly pushed it off with his nose and said, "You look beautiful as you are m'dear."
Taking a moment he thought about her question and wondered himself who his parents were. He never actually met them. "To be completely honest with you I don't know my parents. The only family member I knew is my twin sister." He felt foolish telling her of his twin for they hadn't spoken in so long. His coat shivered slightly wondering if his sister was okay. Her was always overprotective of her.
The funny thing is he was starting to feel the same for this little mare. She reminded him so much of his curious sister.

She grinned at Rha and slowly walked up to him swinging her head slowly sending grass flying "The royalty has arrived ! ..The newest statement in manes..the grass mane!" she smiles at him and hols out a leg "Thank you kind sir you are much the gentleman" she walks up closer to him and brushes his side "Royalty never lies! Even though i would hate to be royal" she starts laughing shaking the remaining grass off her head "Im glad you seem to like me just the way i am" she then gets serious again standing off to his side thinking of an answer "I have no family that i know of..Your just like me not knowing our own parents..Sometimes i get memories that seem to be flashed back but i can never find meaning in them"at least he had someone to rely on she had no one to talk to or rely on in a time of need

Rhamiel smiled at the mare. She was so joyous and fun. Having never met someone quite as happy as her it brought a smile to his lips.
Noting her sudden change in demeanor he said, "Its quite the same for me. I just cannot remember them though I know that they were there. I've never asked my sibling if she remembers them. I wouldn't know how."
Thinking for a moment he said, "Come m'dear. I have someplace I'd love to show you?" He still left it a question so she wouldn't feel he was forcing her to go with him.

She nodded at him "At least they were there long enough to help us grow into the adults we are today..They taught us right" she longs to know her parents to meet her mother..to see what she really was..or it could of been her father. "I wish i had family to rely on in hard times..someone i could always run to no matter what" she eyes him slowly before smiling "Someplace you want to show me..? I would be delighted to follow you into the unknown! I dont think your going to hurt me or you would have "

He nodded solemnly and said, "They made us who we are today and for my sake I am ever grateful. But it is the taunting dream."
When she agreed to follow him he turned and said, "This way. Tis not far I promise." He began walking at a slow trot.

She wondered where he was taking her. Of course she had nothing better to do than follow him. If she stayed behind she would be left with only the sun and the huge grasslands. This was her chance to make a friend and possibly something more than that. "I hope its not to far..But then again..i know my away around im not one for getting lost"
