criptiic. what do i do? of course, i
find crime. i'm a superhero of sorts,
with out the cool costumes. as a member of
GCFS(the gaian crime fighting society), i
am assigned different missions. this
year? saving christmas.
i was sitting in my car, reading the news
before work, when i got a quick text from
my boss. 'come quick', it said. being my
boss, of course, i zipped over there as soon
as i could. best case scenerio would be a
raise. worst? firing me. eh, i didn't really care
at that moment. as i sauntered into mr
yeats office, i realized something weird; why was
the head of the organization sitting there?
in a grim and deep voice, he inivited me to sit and
started to speak. after explaining the mission, i was furious.
what kind of man messed with cookies and sweets
on christmas? i was vibrating with anger. shaking.
exploding. i was going to stop this.
▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪
first encounter? zero bots, of course. those
ugly rust buckets. first attack attempt was
successful. i kicked the stupid things. yeah,
you heard me right. i kicked. and i aimed
for their nuts as well, but i'm not sure that
robots have nuts. oww. not my best idea.
damage is done though, and so about a
fourth of them are gone. "you stupid wastes of
space. why christmas?" i asked in
spite of myself. their arms rolled and they
started to chant. "must. christmas. zero. kill.
steal. i cringed. what were these creatures planning to
do? the world wouldn't be missing these things
when i obliberated them.

was a bit cocky. i thought a second hit would
be easy. guess i was wrong. five seconds later,
i landed on my butt without a clue as to what
was going on. i think i may have fallen when i
missed the robots. snap. i was too tired to fight.
but if children and santa depended on me, it was
what i was planning to do.

i don't want to say that it was all my fault, the fact that
i wasn't really a great fighter. however, determiniation and
perserverance is one of the things that i pride myself on.
i'll keep trying until i get it or someone bribes me with
some cheap chinese ramen. so there i am, scratching
my head like there was no tomorrow, trying to think of
something that i could do. i hear something behind me
and i wave them off, accidentally sending the bot flying
and crashing into another two bots. well, that might've been
just luck, but i say that it takes skill to do that.

that after my next attack. so i'm sitting there again, and
i hear something. once again, i bring my hand around to
whack the object. i find myself groaning and holding my
hand in pain after five seconds. i guess that tactic
doesn't work after one time. do these things adapt or
something? that'd just make it harder, because, as
you can see, i'm not really the sharpest needle in
the haystack.

pretty hard on myself. yeah, i scolded
myself like nobody's business. so then
i got up and tried again. really determined
this time. elephant sized determined. blue
whale sized determined. i think i was a bit too
determined, because i wacked those things so
hard they started to fizzle and pop. yeah, not
really cool. so i ran away and waited for them
to explode. eh, i'll say a good ten robots were
killed there.am i proud? totally.

about my attacks. i'd really rather
hit them a little then hit hard and miss.
i wait until the bots aren't looking, and i
poke one of them. yeah, it worked.
it didn't do much damage, but it
was better than taking a huge swipe
and missing.

best agent. i certainly would not be my own number one
choice to save santa claus. however, that doesn't mean
that i'm completely incompetent. i can throw a mean
punch. i bring my fist to one of the bots, aiming for
its head. what do i get instead? i swing myself and
hit myself in the face instead of the bot. i fall. gah,
that hurt.

my face or something. i reach to touch
my nose, which is bleeding and doesn't
show any chance of stopping anytime
soon. however, it's just a bit of blood.
it'll stop eventually, right? i ignore my
pulsating nose and steady myself
for my next attack.

okay, only a few more robots before i could
defeat them. prehaps i could defeat them
with one more attack, if it was strong enough.
i hope it is. i didn't want to look at these stupid
hunks of metal any longer. i tried to mimic those
manga characters, you know, summoning some
kind of beam or ray. so i thrust my hands forward
and focused my energy on my hands. eh, it didn't
really work the way i wanted it to, but i managed
to push them down so they were toppled over
each other. yeah, i'm just good like that. because
guess what i pushed them in? a freaking puddle
of water. they short circuted and i had defeated them
all. oh yeah.
