The Comic Game!
This is a little game I participated in at a forum I used to visit. It can be very fun, so I thought I'd bring it over here.
But what is the Comic Game, you ask?
Well, there's a couple different versions. We're playing my favorite one. Here goes:
I will draw a single comic panel that's open for continuation, and send it privately over to the next person on the list in post 2. They draw a second panel, and send that privately to person 3 and myself. Person 3 only gets to look at panel two. If they want to see even a tiny little peek of panel one... sucks to be them. They can only use panel two in order to make the third panel. Likewise, person 2 will not see panel 3- only I and person 4 will see it.
This goes on until we get to the last panel maker- here, that would be number 10. They send it to me, and I compile them all in order and post the link to the image on this here thread. Then we get to laugh at it or go WTF or whatever you want, and start a new game.
Sound like fun? Here's a few rules:
NEVER SHOW ANYONE YOUR PANEL, except for the next person in line and me! Seriously. Please don't page someone on AIM or whatever and offer to exchange panels. That's just not cool. In fact, avoid even trying to hint at what's in your panel. Thank you.
All panels should be 300 by 300 pixels. Otherwise it gets messy and more difficult to follow. If that's too small a space for you, it's not that hard to draw with a larger canvas and then shrink it down when you're finished. Feel free to put your alias somewhere on the panel, too.
Don't draw anything that'll get you banned from Gaia. That's self-explanatory, really. No pr0n or anything.
You don't have to be an amazing artist to participate. If you have to use Paint and stick figures to make your panel, go right ahead... in fact, I encourage people who aren't artists to try it out. It adds to the funny. Seriously.
Please don't take forever to submit your panel. If something comes up, or you simply don't have any ideas, post and let us know- same if you drew it on paper and need to get to a scanner. Otherwise, we might be impatient and skip you. :/ And if you think we should skip you, post and tell us.
And yes, I might be willing to let someone else make a starter panel someday.
That's all I can think of for now. I hope that isn't too much to discourage anybody... o_o;
