Observe the waters of the boardwalk at night and you'll notice the Jellyfish glow. A simple explanation for this would be that the Jellyfish have been consuming blue orbs in the local waters, which (with the great influx of highly potent Ghi energy) forced them to glow bright iridescent colors.
But as we have seen in the case of Landshark, when an animal consumes too much Ghi, s**t hits the fan.
The Kraken, a long talked about animated, could ACTUALLY be a giant monsterized version of the Buccaneer Boardwalk jellyfish. Each one of its tentacle stingers could be a mini boss that spawn in random locations on the map and infects players with a poisonous/paralyzing/rooted debuff. Also: they'd glow in the dark!
