Kurt Busch was officially released from the penske racing team after his actions during the final race at homestead where he apparently had a swearing tirade at Dr. Jerry Punch. A video got out on YouTube showing it and after all the races this season where he completely swore out his team,Roger Penske finally had enough and fired him. David Ragan is the prime candidate for the ride.now the question is where is Kurt going to go? Its funny just how much the Busch brothers destroy themselves.

:edit from Soultrain: Penske announced today that A.J. Allmendinger is going to be in the #22 for 2012 at least.

No surprise there. I only wonder if both Busch boys will be looking for a ride this year...

I'm not surprised. I will also not be surprised if Kurt ends up not being with a great team.

Edit: and by great team I mean a team that has money.

Kurt should drive for Kyle's truck team

From what I've heard, Kurt has been taking to Phoenix Racing, which runs the #51 car, and TRG Motorsports, which runs the #71.

Unless something major happens, it looks like Kurt is going to be with a second or third string team next season. Even if a top-tier team has an opening, would they hire him? Could Kurt be looking at the possibility of never winning a cup race again?

So far only people who have talked to Busch are James Finch, Jenkins, and Butler... and out of all those teams... Jenkins is just barely progressing and TRG is sponsorless...however the 51 wouldn't be half a bad ride with Finch... Problem is that Finch has been VERY vocal about not desiring to hear any of Busch's stuff... yeah stuff...,lets call it that.

I'm from vegas and I use to watch them both race here before they got into Nascar same with Jimmie Johnson because I was born in La Mesa Cali which is right next to El Cuhon speedway but I'll share that later. and kyle hasnt change but kurt certainly has he didn't use to be like that so idk what's up with him. But Kyle should have been fired and press charges against him for attempt of vehicler mansluaghter because that could have killied Horniday (I know I'm not spelling right btw not feeling well) now the reason why I say that is because look at fatal crashes over the years Earnhardt's crash didn't look bad and look he's not kicking anyones a** anymore, Adam Petty scraped the wall dead, Neil Bonnet crash during practice dead. Now why in the hell would anyone want a man who put another man head on at 180 mph in a wall! and it only cost him 1 weekend is anyone else saying WTF?!

I think that plan has been scrapped. Best Buy just went to Roush Fenway Racing. Nine races as the primary for the 17, two races as the primary for the 99, and I believe a season worth of associate sponsorship.

Yes. I've also heard that Kurt turned down the RPM thing last week. I wonder if trying to get Kurt was RPM's last effort to save Best Buy's sponsorship of the #43?

I've also heard that David Ragan has been all but measured for the firesuit for the #22, but the hesitation in the announcement makes me wonder if Penske is considering A.J. if RPM can't put a sponsorship deal together, though it sounds like RPM is going to run the #43 for the first few races even if they can't find a sponsor.

There's alot of big things still up in the air so close to Daytona.

Reverse it...Kurt didn't turn down RPM... The higher ups in Ford (i.e. Jack) told Petty no.and that they would prefer it if they took on of thier 2 guys Ragan or Stenhouse... but that doesn't matter now Aric Almirola is considered to be the top candidate which I am definitely ok with... Although I wonder how Jr. is going to be ok with that. Still though...I wonder what will happen to Reuti, Ragan, Vickers, Stenhouse, Bayne, and Cassil... I really hope Cassil gets a ride... He has a lot of potential...

You hit the nail on the head with Aric Almirola. There is going to be an official announcement next week that he will be driving the #43 along with a sponsorship announcement.

It's kind of a relief to see the 43 getting an ok driver and some sort of sponsorship at this point. I think Roush and the 17 will be fine for the season just picking up bits and pieces of sponsorship here and there if they have to. Kenseth at least has the skill to back up money making finishes. Hate to see RPM lose AJ though. I think Allmendinger is now what Brian Vickers was about 5 or 6 years ago...minus the part where Vickers decided to court car owners by going crazy.

I'm glad allmendinger didn't get screwed out of a ride by Kurt.this is the year where we see what allmendinger really is capable of.
