Edel had gone off to go visit home for a couple weeks, and today was the first day Moure was supposed to be feeding her pets. Gibralter was sitting on one shoulder, as he'd refused to let Moure go alone, after seeing how beat up the patchwork had been recently from the field-trip. (Apparently the little guard-dog in the boogeymon was coming out, since if Moure was going anywhere where he might get hurt, the minipet had decided to go with him, despite the looks from the undead Runner.)

As he took the steps up to the demon dorms, it occurred to him that he had only ever been to the Frost Demoness' room once before. It had been the morning after the unfortunate field-trip. He'd helped her back, more out of Moure wanting to make sure she was alright than her actually needing help back. Something had changed between them during that excursion to the Haunted House. Moure hadn't realized just how much he'd cared for the blue-haired ghoul until he'd nearly lost her. When they'd hugged in the front yard, when she'd given him her pendant, they had both realized something, it seemed. She had been his first friend, beating out Danny for that position by only a few minutes, maybe half an hour, since they'd met in the Scario Kart Booth during the Open House. So much had happened since then.

And now Moure didn't even know if Edel would be able to return to school, now that she'd gone home.

He felt a little ache deep in his RPM-meter of a heart, an unusual feeling as that was, when he though of how he might not see her again for some time. Hopefully, it would only be two weeks. Hopefully. Subconciously, he found himself reaching up to his throat, his fingers flitting over the pendant Edel had given him, which still rested against his throat even now. With a jolt, he realized he hadn't returned it to her after all this time. Was he supposed to keep it? What if she'd only meant for him to hold onto it during those horrible trials, not after? Still, she'd never asked for it back... What did it all mean? Gib nuzzled his hand since it wa so close, breaking Moure out of his thoughts and back to the task at hand. Minipets. Right. He had to go feed Edel's minipets.

Moure continued through the demon dorms, trying to look like he was supposed to be there. It wouldn't due to get yelled at on his way to Edel's room, after all. He didn't come here often enough to be recognizable by her neighbors, in any case. When he finally got to her door, he opened it and looked inside. When he'd dropped Edel off, he hadn't actually gone in too far, not wanting to intrude into her personal lodgings. Now, he actually got to see the room for what it was.

It was ice.

He really should've been expecting that, in all actuality. He'd noticed how cold it had been in her room last time, but he hadn't fully realized that everything was actually made from ice. Even the floor was covered in a sheet of the stuff. As he entered, he had to take some care to make sure he didn't slip across the floor. Gibralter held a little tighter to his shoulder, trying not to fall off. Everything was ice, and Moure found himself comforted by the chill. After all, ice was quite possibly one of the best things for an undead like himself to be surrounded by, as it slowed decomposition and was generally good for preserving them. Moure didn't actually have any decomposed bits, but it was still nice to be surrounded by the cool.

He slowly closed the door and looked around, finally spotting a white furred creature off to one side, it's light blue skin the only way he could distinguish from the floor itself. He kneeled and made a slow reach for it, offering out his hand. Whatever the reason, be it recognition of the patchwork or perhaps the necklace he wore, the creature finally warmed up to him and came over. He gave it a quick pat and said, "Now, are you Snow or Chives?" The minipet perked up at the first name and he gave a nod. "Snow it is, then."

When he looked around, he noticed Gibralter had turned, and was staring down something on the other end of the room. It looked to be a skittish, white rabbit-like creature. When it realized Moure was looking at it, it bolted, slipping along the room to the other corner. He gave it a light coo. "It's alright, it's alright. You're Chives, right?" When the minipet responded slightly by looking up at the name, Moure gave it a nod. "Edel sent me to take care of you two while she's gone, alright?"

Now that he'd found the two creatures Edel had charged him with caring for, he located the food. The patchwork gave them a little grin as he set out their food, watching as they moved to eat it. Gibralter looked at them with general approval. The minimon seemed to understand that these were Edel's pets, and via association, also good creatures.

Once the creatures had been fed, Moure slipped his way back to the door and opened it quietly, giving the little ones another nod. "I'll be back tomorrow to feed you again." He said, giving the pets a quick pet before diving out the door and closing it again. Soon he was on his way back to his own dorm.
