The compound of Deus Ex has all types, they ran the spectrum from geek to jock and all the way around to vally girl. It even included the bottom of the chain, choir groups that needed to get slushied. If it was one place that Leon walked around with careful trepidation, it was the room that belonged to Jerry.
Ever since he heard about Robert having to get violent to get away from the Bazooka bearer and his rather forceful admissions into his troupe, Leon made sure to walk swiftly and silently away from him. Mostly due to the fact that he wasn't fond of the bloke except if there was something that needed to be attacked.
He could get along with the man in a strictly professional position. Outside of that, no chance in hell.
But rooms 121 and 129 were not far enough away from each other to keep the potential baritone safe.

It had been a few days since his last spar, and while he was recovering quickly, his fresh wounds from his fight with Reine bandaged for the most part. He was sore still, and a bit bleary, but that was no excuse to slack in his training.
If he wanted Robert to join in his silly shenanigans, he needed to toughen up. Reine was right.
That and to try to not get killed on their next big Mission.
He got dressed, he straightened his coat, he checked the bandage on his chin, and then full of resolve, he stalked out into the hallway with the intent on challenging the first trainee he saw.
At the sight of Leon, though, he second guessed this proclamation.
"Er. Hi!" He managed weakly. No being a wuss, or Roar would never let him hear the end of it. He had to do this. Right. RIGHT! It was just... a spar. And no Cookies this time. Just play it cool. And quit before things got too dangerous.

"Just keep walking Leon, just keep walking." the boxer began to mutter to himself as the creak of the door sent a shiver down his spine. "Er Hi"
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
"Oh hey Jerry." Leon whirled around toward the sudden appearance of Jerry. And noted all the nicks on the blokes exposed skin. "You got F;d up there man, Candace do that to ya?" he asked without any tact whatsoever. He figured that the girl would like it rough but.... that would be just taking it too far on her bedmate. Jerry was like a twig, she could break him in half and from the looks of it, she nearly did.
The polite one, never ask, nor does a gentleman kiss and tell. Nid butted into his train of thought with the random moment of sage advice. <Well those that don't kiss and tell don't look like they went through the wringer and Politeness can go out the window whelp!> the dragon didn't have a smart a** retort for that other than the indignant hmph! and went back to monitoring the situation silently like some kind of soap opera.

"What??" Jerry's face had gone red before he slumped a bit, poking at the bandage on his chin, "Oh, no! No, that was ah... ahaha... another woman. Training gone awry, ahaha... " He shifted in embarrassment, licking his teeth in a nervous gesture.
So, you just admitted to bein' beat up by more'n one girl. Good job, guy, good job, Roar snorted with laughter in the back of his head.
"So ah! Y-you been keeping up with training? Sparring much?" Change of subject, quick.

The color on Leon's face drained at the two words that Jerry finished that line with. "Dude, another woman?" he asked with careful phrasing and grabbed his shoulders sternly. "You better be careful with this, or Candace might do worse than this to you." it didn't even draw on him that the word training was said till afterwards and his features fell as his mouth rounded out with a silent O.
"Uh.... forget I said anything then." he murmured out in embarrassment, the floor seemed much more interesting than usual, now that one of his feet was sitting comfortably in his mouth. Pfft, way to play it smooth beefcake came Nid with the play by play analysis of Leon's life. With the awkward moment ticking past and the life hunter was able to speak without sounding like a idiot, the more pleasant topic of training came up, putting him and his shoulders at ease as he grinned at the spectacled hunter.
"Yep, Still progressing, only a few scrapes with one loss." he huffed up in pride at the lack of noticeable marks on his body. "I'd ask about you but it seems fairly obvious." he mentioned, waving a arm at all the various marks.
was that a hickey on his neck to boot? "A-Anyways, so how did you do, tell me the other person looks worse."

"Ahaha, well, I s-still have a few confidence problems, I think," He smiled meekly, "I got a few good hits in!" He managed, "When I was starting out, I was doing GREAT! But I think... I think it's all these missions," He looked crestfallen, "And that... that... insufferable Robert." He glowered now, "I've got to get my act together or WE'LL never get our act together. Trying to at least get good enough to beat him so he'll join. Miss Reine was helping to train me last, I ah... ahahah... think she got a little carried away."

"You know whats good for courage Jerry?" Leon interjected quickly with the flick of a finger toward the sun hunters face. "PUMPING IRON." he said with a tone of assurance and fall back toward the wall of the hall to listen to Jerry's plight intensely, his brows furrowed with every tidbit of information.
"You might just be in a slump there, after Robert beats you, I wouldn't blame ya." he replied back with a grimace. Robert beating anyone just seemed like the biggest insult to have on your fight record. He was sure he would never take a dive for the fellow life hunter even if Cael payed him for it. "Well." the boxer began to speak again to Jerry. "Well if its battle experience and sparring you want, I don't mind helping out." he offered casually to the bloke. "Anything to help you regain your pride as a man."
It wasn't even a matter of liking the borderline dork or not, it was about not having to scrape up the almost emolike remains Jerry should he get any worse.

"Y-yes! Please!" Jerry's face unfolded with a look of sparkle-eyed wonder, "I could really use all the help I can get, ahahahhaa! Just ah... ahaha... g-go easy on me, alright? I'm ah... still healing a bit," After a pained smile, he perked up considerably, grabbing the beefier trainee by the arm to try to drag him outside before he changed his mind, "Thank you so much it really is good I stay on my toes I can't just keep letting myself get treated like a Moonie, huh? Ahahaha!"

The picture of what it meant to be uncomfortable was Leon, being dragged along by a more frail and slightly shorter Jerry, all bright eyed and happy with his new tag-along.
Except Leon was not feeling as bright eyed and perky. The stern, stoic face stayed put as he got tugged and pulled along, the awkward stepping made it difficult to not step on Jerry's heels.
"Uh, no problem, I'll try to go easy on you." the boxer replied back as Jer began to swerve and almost sent his own face into a nearby wall. "Remember, Try. No promises." he reminded the bloke as they got ever closer to a training facility.
This was for watching Jerry whup Roberts a**, he just had to keep reminding himself that with every stumble and sudden jerk and tug. "You sure you're up to this though?" he asked again, unsure of the sun hunters health and stamina.

"ABSOLUTELY!" Jerry beamed, finally letting go to turn to face his opponent once they were on the field, "And maybe we'll be lucky and I'll have gotten my groove back, huh?" His weapon summoned onto his shoulder, and he hissed only a little bit at the pressure on his bandaged cuts under his coat. "Alright, you ready for it? Roar can pack a real punch, you know!"

Not that long ago, the last time that Leon came face to face with Roar was when Jerry aimed it at him in the tiny hallway filled with other trainees. He was amazed how quickly things changed but can still remain the same in some ways.
The boxer didn't waste time stumbling over summoning his weapon as he prepped for his won battle stance against the sun hunter. "Yep I know, but so does Nidhogg." he reminded Jerry just as casually. "Remember, he don't' just leave scratches, there's always the chance for a amputation or disembowelment."
"Ready when your are." he called out from the other side of the sparring room with safety glasses in place.

And By "ready when you are"
he meant NOW.
With a roar from leon vocal chords, the life hunter charged at the half ready Jerry and began a flurry of swipes. "SURPRISE! Defend yourself!"
NOT READY YET LEON. came Nid's smart assed reply and he didn't even make a movement, not even a putter or slice against Jerry's skin.
Nidhogg was the biggest troll.

The sun-trainee yelped, staggering backward. CHAINSAW RIGHT HE HAD A CHAINSAW that... that was... he could handle a few cuts and bruises. He could deal with burns. But... amputation was not something he wanted to risk. He took several long-legged strides before turning sharply, Leon nearly within near perfect range, "Hey, no fighting dirty!" And then he pulled the trigger.

"Oh sweet Ali!" was all leon could say before the almost point blank shot sent him skidding away from the hunter. there wasn't even time to grunt as he rolled over and over again until the momentum finally stopped and gave him a chance to get back up on shaky feet. -maybe I should have been ready then.- Nidhogg decided to speak up only to get yelled at rightly. "OH YOU THINK HUH NID?"
The surprise was really on himself.
It took a fair amount of time for the life hunter to get his bearing, find out what year it was, his name and bloodtype and shake out the cobwebs from the hit. "Dear gods, that bazooka Jerry, what the hell man?" it was clear he would have killed them all back then.
Even so, a fight was still a fight and he had to go back in for a counter attack and went after the hunters arms with a mighty heaving swing.

Jerry beamed proudly, about to compliment Roar's timing this time when once again- Chainsaw. He wasn't so quick this time, nearly stumbling under the weight as he swung Roar around to let his Quills and armored barrel take the blow, "He's a good weapon, alright!" He didn't get a chance to reposition, simply firing with the hopes it would scare the saw-wielder back.
