"Oh come now dear, don't dilly dally!" the snake instructed as she slithered along the edge of a small pool her lion family used for various things quite often. She was used to helping the cubs wash when they were little, and even more used to helping Vashti and Vuxta with anything they might have needed. Today however, was just a typical day of relaxation by the waters. Vihrea and Vuxta had gone off on another adventure for a little alone time, while Sihisevaliekki and Vashti were left to themselves. "We want to get there before it getssssss too hot!" she hissed and continued to slither her way about, the holes in the sides of her head tuning into the lioness's paw steps behind her. After a few moments she stopped and lifted the front portion of her body up to glance back at the lioness. "Sssssomething wrong deary?" she tilted her head at the sight of the lioness dragging her paws into the dirt. A soft smile spread across her face in wise understanding and compassion.

Vashti let out a sigh. It felt like her body ached entirely and her mind was dragging even more than her paws. "I just miss them." she said, casting her blurred gaze up to notice that the snake blur had stopped slithering. She of course was referring to her brother and sister who had both gone off to join prides. There was once a time she thought they would be together forever, but with her siblings having perfectly fine sight, that wasn't exactly the case. "I mean... I know I can still see them at times, and have Aotpo send messages to them but its not the saaammee." the princess whined in her usual manner. Padding forward she bent down to nuzzle the snake affectionately, smiling as the pink flickering tongue tickled her nose, before trudging on past the snake. The small pool wasn't too far off, she could smell its waves, hear its ripples, and see its blurred blue motions. Once at the side, she laid down ever so daintily in a soft patch of grass and let her front toes dangle in the water.

Sihiseva only nodded her head in a knowing manner and returned the nuzzle before slithering her way between the lioness's feet, then off to the side so as to not get laid upon. "Itsssss only natural that your ssssad deary." the female snake said in a comforting manner. She had sat by Vashti many nights when the special princess was going through one of her moods. Now it seemed after all these years she would yet again be doing what she so loved. Using the tip of her tail, she stroked the lioness's head in a slow calming manner. "Jussssst think how happy they are, making new friendsss, meeting new lovesss, and ssstill thinking of you I bet!" she grinned, trying her best to cheer the lioness up. In truth, it pained her to see any member of her family this way, but there was very little a snake could do. "Ssssit tight deary, I'll ssssee if there are any fisssh in the little pool today. Fancsssy a snack?" she asked, though she didn't really wait for an answer as she slithered around the banks, her green gaze peering into the waters for the glimmer of scales.

Vashti didn't even have to answer the snake, she knew the slithering creature would catch a fish for her anyways, even if she had to slither to twenty more pools just to find one. "Thanks Sissy." she said, smiling at remembrance of the affectionate nickname she had given the snake as a cub. She couldn't properly pronounce the snakes entire name when she was little. It often twisted up inside her mouth and stuck to her tongue. But she could say it properly now. Sihisevaliekki. It seemed so easy once she had gotten used to it, but no matter how proud she felt to have mastered the snakes name, nothing brought more love and sincerity to her words than using a childhood nickname. "How do you do it Sissy? Don't you miss them too?" she questioned, watching the blur move slowly along the bank, following the movement of something she couldn't see. "I mean... you practically raised us too.... I'm sure you feel like were somehow your children too." she laughed. It was rather pleasant having a snake as a second mother. Oh the things she learned from Sissy. The snake had been a real gift to her in her times of need growing up.

Though Sihiseva listened to every word the lioness said, she remained silent for a few moments while she focused upon the fish....and also upon her feelings. She did miss the cubs greatly, and it brought a pang to her tiny beating heart. But she knew it was for the best and that they were happy, living out their lives to the fullest now. Perhaps she'd even be a grandmother snake someday! "Of courssssse I missssssssss them deary." she hissed, coiling up into a tight ball, her muscles tense. "Asssss doessss your father and your mother." she said, her body now perfectly still as a glimmer of scales flashed beneath the water. Suddenly with precise accuracy and lighting fast speed, the snake shot out, striking the water. In a manner of seconds, the snake and a fine sized fish lay wriggling about on land. "I remember when your brother thought he could sssssslither like me into my hole during hissss adolesssscent yearssss." she chuckled as she quickly coiled herself about the fish, stopping its movements once and for all. "Boy did your father have a time trying to get him out!" she giggled as she slithered her way back over to the lioness, laying the fish in front of her paws. "Don't be sssad sssswweeety. Remember the good timesssss you had! Thossse lasssst for a lifetime. Now here, eat thissss. Keep your ssstrength up." she commanded.

Vashti sighed and snagged the fish with a claw, playing with it for a few moments before she rolled on her back. Memories came flooding back of seeing her brother's butt wiggling in the air and dad trying to yank him out. So he was Stuckbutt and Stuckface. Vashti erupted into a fit of giggles. "Oh man that was the greatest! He almost demolished your entire home! He was sooooooo upset at that. He thought you were going to hate him." she almost cackled out loud as she flopped back over onto her stomach and took a bite out of the fish. "And remember when Vinata got stuck at the top of the tree on one of Dad's tree splashing missions? Oh boy, she screeched louder than Aotpo in a tornado." the lioness chuckled, running her long pink tongue over the fish a few times as she let out a sigh and took another bite. "Maybe your right Sissy. No, I know your right. Sulking doesn't do me any good does it. And I'm supposed to be looking after mom and dad!" she said as she gobbled up the rest of her fish and scooped the snake up in her paws. Rolling back over onto her back, she let the snake slither into a coil on her tummy as she watched the blurred movements nuzzle a few hairs back into place. Resting her head back, she shut her eyes as the memories ran through her head. "You guys better be having fun out there..." she said softly and with a smile. "So Sissy.....when do you think mom and dad will be home?" the lioness asked, but she wasn't really wanting an answer. With her eyes shut tight, the warm breeze, and a nice snack in her tummy, it wasn't hard for Vashti to drift off into a cat nap.

Sihiseva shook her head and laughed as she nosed down a few stray furs while listening to the lionesses tale. "Ssssuch wonderful timessss." she said softly, humming a soft tune to further help lull the overgrown cub into a slumber. She needed it after all those restless nights spent tossing and turning, almost squishing the snake in the processes. But it's what Sihiseva loved to do more than anything, and she would continue right on doing it. "I ssssupossse they will be back whenever they want too." she said softly, though the lioness was already alseep. A smile crept over the snakes face as she gently stroked the powerful muzzle with a tail tip before coiling up tight on the lionesses chest. It was quite a nice day for a little snooze. Perhaps she would take one herself. And when the two awoke, she would make sure they told stories and laughed all the way home, so loud in fact, that someone might mistake them for a couple of silly hyenas.
