Hari was making a mess. No particular reason, honestly. She was bored, and her friend, Tawa, had made some paint, like he did sometimes, and she had decided she might as well play with it! It's not like Tawa ever used his paint for anything important. He sometimes made messes too!
So she had scurried over to a rocky area with "her" paint. There were a few different colors, like blue, red, green, yellow and pink. She was happy to stick one paw in each and just stomp about on the rocks. Hari wondered why Tawa even made paint, it's not like he tattooed people in the pride! Such a silly boy. But it was okay, at least she could have her fun. Covered in paint, mostly blue, Hari was completely carefree, happy to just doodle on rocks or place her paw prints wherever. Fortunately, this wasn't the sort of paint Ela used for actual tattooing, so she didn't have to worry about getting stained with anything more permanent.
"So here's a lion..." She told herself, using a paw to scratch in a horizontal line, red. And then, she took her paw that she used for the blue paint, and slapped a big blotch next to it. "And there's a monster!"

Elowehi'gili was taking his usual walk like he did every day. Normally there was nothing out of place, which was just how he liked it. Today however it would seem that there would be something unusual for him to stumble upon. Oh joy~
He stopped and stared for a moment. He felt the urge to face-paw. Since when did the Ela decide to start tattooing rocks? Of course, he didn't know that the paint Hari was playing with wasn't the tattooing kind.
"Just what do you think you're doing?"

Her response came out natural and casual. "Saving the world." She shrugged. At least, that's what Mr. red lion was doing. Take that, blue monster! Ha! She used a red claw to scribble all over the blue blotch she had made earlier. "What are you doing?"
She finally turned to actually look at the male, eyebrows raised. Didn't seem like he was doing any important world saving! HM. She wondered if she could put him to use, then. It was always more fun to make a mess when you had people to make a mess with! "Do you want to help?" She used a front paw, the blue one, to point at the paint she had pilfered from Tawa. She had already stuck her paws in all of them, a color for each paw, but there was plenty left for this newcomer.
