Jude had been making it a habit as of late to appear at the gym or at least going toward it to either find a way to gain strength in attacks or quickness to his movements that would aid him during stealth missions. It was a steady progress and slowly but surely he was getting some semblance of physical improvements but that didn't mean it would go the way he thought it would when put into practice.
Today he was focusing on attacks. The dummy he was facing off against rocked and swayed a bit under the force of relentless hits from his hourglass weapon that he seemed to prefer to use in manner one might use a rapier by grasping the slender part of the middle and thrusting forward with it.
After a few quick hits he stepped back and panted lightly as if breathless. Today he just couldn't seem to keep his breathing in control. He was also a bit distracted with other thoughts.

Robert burst into the door, panting heavily. He didn't notice anyone inside just yet, just managed to run in, find the nearest dummy, and stand behind it.
That was when he noticed Jude for the first time, weapon in hand.
"SHHHH." Robert hushed the hunter far too loudly. "Don't let him know I'm here."
Outside the doors, the sounds of someone walking rather quickly could be heard. They paused, as if considering, and then continued onward until their footsteps faded away.

Jude startled when Robert burst through the door and then proceeded to hide behind the dummy that he had been smacking around a bit before his small pause break. There was a raise of the eyebrow but otherwise he didn't say anything out loud to alert anyone that was apparently chasing Robert as all he heard was the footsteps. Jude stared at the door for a long moment and then peeked behind the dummy.
"...Running from the Law?" he asked with a little bit of curiosity.
Maybe Robert pilfered something he shouldn't have or for some reason he was playing an obscure game of 'hide and seek' that Jude was unaware of, "Insult someone's honor? What?"

"Nah, more like just trying to keep my dignity." Robert peeked out of the dummy, and once he was sure the coast was clear, he moved away and gave Jude a very bro-like nod with a sharp tilt upwards of his chin. "Jude! How you doing, man? I haven't seen you in too long. You practicing your swing?" Robert gave a carefully guarded look at his weapon - yeaaah.
"Keeping out of trouble, I hope? Or keeping in it, that's cool too."

"Trying to keep your dignity? What are they trying to do to you?" He asked with his brow a bit furrowed. He wasn't sure just why Robert would need to run or stay dignified but either way he was here now and they were conversing with each other.
Robert got +10 points for referring to Jude as Male.
"I am alright...I guess you could say I am practicing my swing," he replied quietly as he lifted up his weapon a bit and looked it over. It was an odd weapon to have to be sure but it seemed to suit him. When asked he was staying out of trouble or keeping in it he just smirked a bit, "Little of both I guess."

"You know, I gotta admit, I really wanna see that thing in action." Robert picked a coin out of his pocket, and summoned Jezebel by flipping it. "Do you mind? I mean, if you're already here practicing, might as well practice on me, right?"
He gave the man a friendly grin. "I've been having mixed luck lately. You might destroy me!"

"Eh? Alright," Jude said simply with a small shrug.
Robert summoned a coin and flipped it, "Tails," he said simply.
Jude tilted his head, "I'll settle for beating you in exchange for a cup of coffee if I win."

Robert plucked Jezebel out of mid-air and twirled her a few times, eyeing Jude oddly.
The man wants my tail, Robert. Why don't you give it to him.
"Jazzy's fiesty today." Robert chuckled as he hefted his weapon to indicate that this was 'Jazzy'. She likes that you picked tails."
The batleth turned, just once, and came slashing down on Judge using it's lower half. "That was tails."

There was only a moment of confusion before he gave a small amused snort at his own mistake, "Should have guessed that wasn't a normal coin."
{Mmm, guessssing issss bad in our line of bussssinesssss.}
Jude was struck and he let out a small hiss of pain as the bladed weapon struck across his thighs. There was no complaint other than the sound, "Well then I guess I better return the favor," he replied before he suddenly grasped his hourglass more firmly taking more of a fencer's stance and suddenly thrust his weapon forward into Robert's core.

Robert had expected Jude to slam him over the head with the hourglass. Or maybe make it do some weird time stop move or something. He did not expect the hourglass to jut out at him in such a manner, and when the blunt weapon hit him in the gut, he stumbled back and laughed.
"Ahah. Okay. Didn't expect that." He muttered, slashing out with his batleth and missing wide.

"Well I guess we both have done something that the other didn't expect. We are a bit like twins, hm?" He teased lightly while he moved forward and swung his up his foot to hit at Robert's left thigh.
When one had an unusual weapon there was a need to use their body as a weapon as well. "So, what were you expecting?" Honestly Jude was a bit curious.

"I was kind of expecting you to bash me over the head with it. Like uh.."
And then he proceeded to bash Jude over the head with his batleth. The trouble with this, of course, was that Jezebel was a sharp and bladed weapon - when bashed over the head, she elicited much more damage to the Fear shield than a blunt weapon might manage.
Not to mention the brute force that wielded her.

Naturally Jude let out a yelp of pain, "Cripes, didn't think your weapon would let you use it like that," he murmured, "guess it likes manhandling? Yom complains if I try anything like that..."
{Lady Yom deserves to be handled with ressspect!}
He mentally hushed the voice and then lashed out another firmer kick at the his spar partner.

Robert winced at the kick, and twirled Jezebel before wielding her like a baseball bat into Jude's side.
"You know, Jazzy here, she don't complain much. She pretty much hates everything I do, but she don't tell me about it."
Hmph.
"I can feel it though, so that's enough." He laughed heartily, stroking the dull side of the blade, and felt a wave of disgruntled pleasure course through the weapon. "She doesn't like talking, but I always seem to know how she feels anyway."

"Heh, Yom likes to try and unnerve me sometimes, and she talks about herself in third person now and again...Most of the time she just watches me screw up or something." Jude observed as he wound up for his FEAR attack only to stumble a bit and lose momentum as well as almost dropping his weapon.
For that brief moment the three prongs on the top of the hourglass seemed ... pointier and was spewing a few bits of sand uselessly to the ground.
