Jerry was determined. This was going to happen.
Alright, so his attempts at recruiting a Hunter Choir where not... going as well as he would have liked. He just needed more INCENTIVE for people! Or for at least ONE person to break the ice.
He knew who he wanted.
He knew who he *needed* to make this work.
And he only lived two doors down the hall.
He checked the mirror, straightening his scarf and coat. Yes. Yes. Today was the day. Today he would get the ball rolling. He marched over and knocked firmly on Robert's door.
"Robert! Robert we need to talk!" He announced firmly in what he felt was his most impressive and commanding tone.

Robert opened the door completely naked.
He stared at Jerry.
And then he slammed the door shut.

A few minutes later, Robert re-opened the door and was blessedly wearing a pair of pants this time. His glorious, well defined chest was still bare, however. He brushed a hand through his hair and sighed sharply at the man still waiting despite having just been flashed thoroughly.
"Whaddya want, Jerry?" Robert almost whined out.

During the time it took Robert to become a bit more socially acceptable, the sun-trainee had managed to regain his composure. He glowered upward at the taller man with an only-slightly shaken sense of determination. "I want you. In the Hunter Choir. I'm not taking a no. You have a GIFT, Robert. And it is a... a SIN to keep it to yourself!"

Robert briefly considered slamming the door closed again.
"Listen, bro. You know, it's a compliment to hear you say that s**t. It seriously is. But I've got an image to maintain, and this place is just too closely knit for me to go wailing around with you and not get my a** kicked for it."
He looked genuinely torn - he did love to sing, after all. But it just wasn't going to happen. "Honestly, you're going to have to give me some kind of incentive to join, or something. Because as it stands, it's a no from me."

"No one's going to kick your-" Jerry hesitated, "No one's going to think badly of you for it. No one thinks badly of me for my passions do they?" As far as he knew of anyway. "It's for MORAL! We're ALL stuck here, without television, without radio, without anything but study material. The other trainees *need* something fun! Something without dangers, you know? I was thinking we could write original songs, too. And take requests! We just need a few more guys! People will love us for it!"

Robert leaned casually on his door, barely listening.
"You still haven't convinced me, broski. The betterment of the people is not something I really, uh, care about. You know?"

Both of Robert's hands rested on Jerry's shoulder, and he bent down to look at the man eye to eye.
"Jerry, you have to convince me." His serious business face and voice were totally on, and totally not being sarcastic to Jerry's seriousness.

Jerry's eyes narrowed.
So it was going to be like that, was it.
Suddenly, Robert's grip on his shoulders was broken by a flash of green light and a large, monster-faced cannon materialized between them, aiming directly at Robert's chest.
"When it comes to things like this, I can be very persuasive."

Robert choked and straightened up, reaching into his -
"AH GODDAMNIT." His coat was OVER THERE, which meant he had to just kind of stand there, with a cannon in his face, and no weapon.
"At least give me a second to put a shirt on before you stick that thing in my face, goddamn."

Robert turned to grab his jacket, but when he looked at Jerry coming inside his room, he put his palm out and slammed it against the other man's chest.
"AHAHAHA. HAHA. NO, ********. We ain't doing this in my love pad. I gots Petra coming over any minute, in case you didn't guess, and I don't need you blowing your cannon chunks all over my room. Get the ******** outside."
He flipped his jacket over his shoulder, grabbed Jerry by the collar, and closed his door as he dragged Jerry out of the complex.
Once they were outside, Robert took the first shot - by banging his fist over Jerry's head, hard.
"Okay, buddy. You want me in your choir so bad?" He turned and took his position, holding his arms out.
"Show me."
