Local shop has a new P226 elite and it's super nice, but the price 899.
So I think I will get a certificated pre owned one in 9mm, and two mags. about 500-550 cause the price goes with how much care was taken to return to like new.
I just love how the P226 felt in hand, also felt a Walther PPQ...not a huge fan of mag release. could get used to it if had to, but also a nice light good in hand pistol.

Yeah, I'd like to get a 226 as well. Cost and age are prohibitive though.

yeah, and I want to join a indoor range that is only five minutes away. that's why I might get a GSG 1911 22 cause it will be cheap to shot and get me ready for a 1911 in 45 when I can afford to shoot a 45
and the same shop has a GSG for 355 or 350.

SpeedmanRC yeah, and I want to join a indoor range that is only five minutes away. that's why I might get a GSG 1911 22 cause it will be cheap to shot and get me ready for a 1911 in 45 when I can afford to shoot a 45 and the same shop has a GSG for 355 or 350. you can get .45 1911s for 300. recon did it, so can you mrgreen

I was able to find 2 within 3 months of eachother, its all about finding them before someone else does.

Seriously? Damn, ask around about a Rock Island GI. They run for $300-some, usually.

Seriously? Damn, ask around about a Rock Island GI. They run for $300-some, usually. ...should have said one I like...I don't want a base model GI if I really don't like it and would spend a few hundred more on upgrades. Would rather buy one that's for the most part ready to go as is.
