Personality: To some trolls, it may seem like Mofein is eternally amused—a small smile indicating his pleasure appears to constantly adorn his face. While he does get frustrated or disappointed, he keeps his emotions under strict reins. He considers himself to be ugly when he expresses large amounts of feelings, hence why his emotions are often kept under lock and key. Instead, Mofein permanently sets himself to “calm and mildly amused.” It is not a perfect mask, however, because trolls can often see multiple emotions flashing in his eyes or pick up the strained twitch of his smile. The illusion lets him remain calm, sometimes even relaxed and carefree. Without a wide range of strong emotions to fuel his actions, he is able to focus on the tasks he wants/needs to do. When interacting with other trolls, his voice is smooth and slick. It wouldn’t be too surprising if talking with him soothes the other troll or makes them sleepy. Similarly, Mofein’s movements tend to be slow and fluid. While the façade allows him to maintain a clear, calm head, when he blows he really blows.

Mofein is a relatively friendly and social fellow. Since he gets out often to tend to his lusus as well as to pursue his interests, he meets a lot of other trolls around his age. He does not mind interacting with other trolls, regardless of blood. In fact, Mofein can even come across as hospitable and kind. However, once he gains a negative opinion of a particular troll, that troll can expect Mofein to act considerably different.

He’s a bit cuckoo for art—literally. Mofein absolutely loves aesthetics; it’s partially why he started donning face paint in the first place. He spends a lot of his free time collecting art supplies. Mofein will do anything to make beautiful works. If he has to risk his life to obtain materials, he won’t hesitate. He is perfectly fine with forgoing rest for the sake of his art. Although he delves into a variety of media and styles, there is one type of art he loves the most: using trolls. He is enamored with the caste system and how it divides trolls by blood color. Mofein supports the system, especially because it upholds his lovely violet blood. It is unsurprising for Mofein to seek out other trolls and draw blood for the sake of using it for his pictures. For most trolls he first asks for blood, but if they refuse he doesn't hesitate to resort to violent methods--even killing would suffice in certain cases, though he mainly goes for intimidation tactics and other sources. However, exceptions include trolls he absolutely loathes or when he asks a troll after fighting him/her.

Strengths: Quick learner Mofein learns and does things best when he can do thing with his hands or do it physically. For example, if he wants to learn how to do a specific art technique he cannot just go pick up a book and stare at examples of it until he learns the gist of the technique. It is not enough for him to simply read about something or to even watch someone else do it. He must do it himself. While someone who learns solely from books might not have success in doing something (or if they do, they won't be as confident), Mofein can actually do it after a couple tries and with certainty that he can do it. He doesn’t have the best memory, his body does seem to have a knack for memory things on its own, which is partially why Mofein prefers to be hands on.

]Laidback/Soothing Although Mofein can be merciless and violent, most of the time he is relatively calm and even soothing to some. It appears to be a trait he picked up from his lusus. He tends to speak in a low-pitched voice and his words are sometimes slurred. His voice contains a quality that people can relax at when he talks. Mofein often ambles from place to place, and appears to have a confident yet laidback swagger to his movements. When not provoked, his grins are very easy going. Since Mofein works at a slow, easy pace and seems to like calming others days. While he does not hate high tension, he likes to attempt to soothe and ease the other trolls.

Willing to learn Since he’s rather young, Mofein is also curious and all the more willing to learn. While he isn’t fond of learning through books, he still attempts to do so—especially when there are no other quick and easy resources for him to utilize. When something piques his interest he often moves to pursue it further, such as through following after it or asking questions. Mofein enjoys learning—especially through hands on investigation. If a particular concept or technique trips him up, Mofein does not give up easily and instead works at it until he has successfully understand and learned it.

Flaws: My-pace He’s the type of troll that prefers to go at his own pace rather than slow down or speed up to match someone else’s. Mofein is not bothered when he notices he is the last person doing a particular activity while everyone else is impatiently waiting for him nor does he consider to stay back to let others catch up to him and his thought processes. If someone has a difficult time following his train of thought Mofein won’t bother to explain it to him. He is content with doing things at his own speed and on his own terms than on someone else’s, which can make him fairly difficult to work with.

Merciless As expected of a purpleblood, Mofein does not often show mercy toward others when he’s angry. When there is something he desires he will easily cut down other trolls or obstacles to achieve it. He considers torture and violence to be fair means for whatever he wants. If Mofein wishes to have something a troll has, but the troll won’t give it to him—he will fight. If someone betrays or vexes him he does not hesitate to become cruel. Mofein will find means to punish the troll, both emotionally and physically. If he wants to go out all he will.

Possessive Mofein can get incredibly protective of trolls he considers to be his close friends or valuable “toys.” Sometimes it is not noticeable, but other times it’s incredibly suffocating and perhaps to some, scary. If a troll hurts Mofein’s friend, he will not hesitate to fight that troll and make her life horrible. He can also get envious of other trolls his friends interact with, and it won’t be surprising if certain trolls are hurt or threatened by him. Mofein also finds nothing wrong with stalking his friends for the sake of “safety.” The closer he becomes with a troll, the more possessive and protective he gets.

Lusus: Mofein’s lusus appears to be a hybrid between a Venus fly trap, opium poppy plant, and a snake. Its face looks like the leaf of a Venus flytrap and does not speak—even when it opens and closes its ‘mouth’ it does it so slowly it makes little sound, though sometimes it will make a hissing sound when it flicks its snake tongue out of its mouth. Instead of having another stalk of flowers, his lusus has poppy petals framing its face. Its coloration mimics that of a boa constrictor and even appears to be scaly to the touch. The rest of its body consists of a thick stem and roots that act as a single muscle, so his lusus moves by slithering. Its thin body causes it to sway and move slowly—something that Mofein has somewhat picked up, resulting in his fluid and lazy movements.

His lusus appears to be quite lazy, although the troll doesn't mind and in fact enjoys pampering it. It doesn't do much, but once in a while it does point or gesture out some advice or information for Mofein when he is in a serious pinch. It particularly enjoys being able to 'model' for the troll when he needs a subject to draw.

Power: none

Gotcha. Dropped insecure for protective and made his lusus a bit more snake-like. *w* Btw, it could already move on its own. Its 'roots' act like legs. It just doesn't really like to move often. xD

okey doke!

first off, important for a troll like mofein is the disposables system we have in the guild. we limit the amount of cullings that can take place per month, due to the queen coming down heavy on people who thin the population too much. (the recent disaster of the loss of 90% of the troll army and old hemisect has caused a population crisis)
so! he might have to find other ways of getting his materials for his art. some options would be participating in the four fronds lowblood hunts, getting trolls to donate 'willingly' (blackmail, threats to their loved ones, etc), and targeting orphaned lusii, as they have the same blood colours as trolls do. (kind of a bargain-bin option)

i'm curious as to how hands on is a strength. it's very neutral, and doesn't seem to give him a specific benifit over being able to learn through theory. how does it specifically help him in his life?

forgiving, again, seems like something that is rather neutral. you say trolls can win his favour back with groveling and bribes, that doesn't seem to really ... help him? from what i can read, it seems he only gets angry at trolls when they do quite a lot to aggravate him, so it doesn't seem likely that they'd want to apologise after? i can see this working if he was short tempered or flew off the handle at the smallest thing, or was overly critical of other trolls, but with his patient and calm it feels kind of redundant, and i don't see it coming in to play during a roleplay very often. idk, hahah am i explaining this clearly @__@;;

if i'm reading him wrong and he DOES get pissed off quickly or something, lemme know, since you might just have that part of him in your mind and it didn't come across well written down rofl

i would change the name of protective to posessive since that's the more negative word associated with that, and what you're getting out of that part of him.

even beating a troll up and bleeding them would be very dangerous, as if he took too much blood he could kill them, or leave them so weak that they'd die a few hours later. (i'm not even sure how he'd select trolls to be his donors, but if he tried to only collect a little from each troll rather than bleeding them dry, and constantly went around collecting, i think he'd get a reputation very quickly as the guy to run away from on sight) not to mention that he seems to have no problem asking for 'donations' from trolls that he's friendly with, and would gladly attack them for the blood if they decline.

it really depends on how you want to play him i think. if you want him to have friends, popularity and be well-liked, i would go for a more subtle or refined way of collecting his paint. if you don't mind if trolls dislike, distrust and avoid him, then having him mug random trolls on the street is perfectly fine.

re: hands on, maybe you should change it to quick learner then? it seems that what you're saying is that being hands on is good because he picks up on things quickly after giving them a try. :3
