Muka hadn't been to maul yet. He'd been to mauls in the past, ones close to home, but this particular maul was new to him which made it all the more exciting. The strix boil was a big fan of clothing. He liked reading celebrity magazines and finding out what the celebrities wore and daydreaming about having those vast wardrobes for his own. He had a pretty large one already but he wasn't adventurous enough to venture beyond his usual muted color palette.

The best part about the maul, of course, was the ability to shop AND purchase snacks. He was currently sucking a shake, Boo-Bunny Blue, some strange concoction that made him chomp happily on his straw and was currently staining his tongue a blue color.

The same blue of a ghoul that currently caught his eye. He started to giggle, wanting to sneak up on his friend Edel, and started to lurk lurk lurk behind her before he, "EDEL!!!" popped up behind her with his own expression of: OvO !!

"OH!" Muka suckled the last from his drink, eliciting that empty noise that straws made, and then chucked his cup into a nearby bin which munched on it happily. "I LOVE TO SHOP!"

The strix adjusted their arms, looping his with hers as proper gentlemonster would do, and started to walk in a direction. It was only after a few steps that he realized he knew nothing about what she wanted to buy and also he had no idea where he was going. This stopped him in his tracks and he started to giggle.

"I have never been to this maul before. Where would you like to start?"

Though Edel felt she was admitting some horrible secret, Muka simply giggled and looped his arm around her waist to guide her to the store. "That sounds wonderful! Let's show off those legs of yours! WAIT.." He turned to her very seriously, gravely even, and stared into her eyes with his own golden ones. "You do have legs don't you?"

It wasn't a stupid question! He'd never seen her legs under her long skirts and he'd seen ghouls on campus with goat legs or no legs at all!

"Either way.." He tapped his lip with a claw as they drifted through the entryway to the store and looked at all the displays. "Maybe some ladies pants?" Were pants a taboo for the ice demon?

He was very relieved to see she had legs.

The only time Muka's smile seemed to disappear was when he was thinking very hard and his usually large mouth shrunk down to a contemplative pucker. He tapped his chin and shuffled around the pants, head bobbling like a bird.

He grabbed the pants, switched them for another pair with a different cut(after a bit of flipping on the rack) and then disappeared behind another rack for a few seconds.

"This style of pants is very hot now." He grinned again and held up a pair of skinny cut white pants. "And I think maybe.." he held up a few blouses in varying forms of coverage. The latter was more of a sweater-dress but they were also very stylish in the media as he had seen in some of the celebrity magazines.

"Hmmm?" He, of course, would not be offended if she hated them but he knew she would look nice in all of them. "Do you have some boil to impress?" He giggled around her.

Muka did a good job of standing perfectly still outside of the dressing room and waiting. He stared, unblinking, as she showed the looks and though he liked all of them, she chose the more conservative of the tops. The strix was a bit giggly and suspicious when she mostly avoided his question about a boil.

"So there is a boil?" he'd waited while she tried on the outfits but couldn't help pursuing the line of questioning. "What's it like?" He was deadpan now and it was a strange question. His head tilted to the side. "To like someone?"

Behind him he already had pulled a few shorter dresses off the rack and stashed them. The pair of them had worked on her casual look, now she needed some cute dresses that were a little more hip than her current wardrobe. He'd spring them on her when she least expected it.

"Warm?" Muka tilted his head and took her new outfits from her, holding them over his arm. When she wasn't looking he snuck two other dresses into the pile. He'd already picked them for her and he was afraid she would say no, so he was sneaking them in and planned on buying them for her as gifts.

"I am happy when I am with friends." He smiled and clacked his teeth. "I am not sure that I like any ghoul.. or boil. I have never felt that feeling before." He assumed he would know it if he felt it but he'd not yet experienced anything out of the ordinary.

"What's his name?" he linked arms with her and cooed into her ear, nuzzling affectionately. It was intimate but more friendly. Strangers would probably get the wrong impression though.

"You must update me." Muka stared at her seriously. "On the progress of this budding romance! I am intrigued and maybe I can figure out things for myself by keeping track of your exploits." This seemed to be fancy talk for 'tell me everything so I can live vicariously through you'.

Muka even had difficulty with the concept of jealousy. He'd maybe experienced the feeling a handful of times in his life and always over material things instead of people. "How were you jealous? What happened?"

They reached the register and a small female, maybe a goblin of some kind, was perched on a stool whacking the unruly cash machine with a stick until it allowed her to ring things up. The two tops went first and then the pants. Soon she was picking up the dresses and Muka did his best to keep Edel's eyes on him. The strix pulled credit card from his pants pocket and attempted to keep the ghoul so distracted that she wouldn't notice him paying for the entire purchase.

"How have you gotten closer? What is he like?" The strix clacked excitedly with his teeth.
