Beneath the swaying branches of the willow, a little flutter flitted through the wind. There were few times where Olivia was able to enjoy being tiny, and she loved every single one of them. Today had been the perfect day for a flight. The sun was out and shining, there was a slight breeze, and not a single cloud in sight. She sighed a little, enjoying the way the wind played through her mane and tail as she flitted from flower to flower. The only worry she had was the possible predatory bird, but even then, Olivia seemed to have a way of talking herself out of dangerous situations. Even then, most birds seemed to leave her online. She could only recall a time or two when she had actually been mistaken as a butterfly.
Feeling tired, the little flutter came to a stop on a nearby low hanging tree branch, taking a moment to rest her tiny wings. Being this tiny was exciting and fun, but it was certainly exhausting.

His day had not started out well. Not that most days he wasn't annoyed by something. Why did everyone come to him for help? Just because he had the ability to heal didn't mean he wanted to heal every cut or scrape someone got. So he had taken this day to escape, but not before some silly mare who had slipped and cut her knee deeply bugged him for healing. He had helped her just to shut her up and get time away. Now he was free from the demands of the herd. Why he stayed in the herd was still unknown to him. He hated it most days but still he stayed there. Probably had something to do with having individuals to experiment on.
Huffed Mornhavon finally had the time and quiet to concentrate on his life;s work. Finding unknown plants and figuring out what they did. With his head held low Mornhavon made his way slowly over to a tree. In his experience many useful, and sometimes dangerous plants, grew near trees. He found one that looked interesting and took a sniff of the tiny flowers on it. Giving his head a shake Mornhavon snorted loudly. That thing smelled terrible. At least in his mind it was. The sweet smell of the flower was enough to make him shudder. "No good at all!" He proclaimed and looked for something else around the base of the tree.

The mare found herself almost drifting off to sleep when something startled her awake. Looking down, she noticed a little usdia just below her branch. Well, perhaps he wasn't exactly little at the moment, not in comparison to her. In this state he was actually quite giant, but she supposed that if she were to become large again he would be fairly small. Oh well, not that it mattered anyway.
Gracefully, the mare leaped from the branch she was perched on and drifted down to stand on the minicorn's nose. Once she was balanced, she found herself directly looking him in the eyes. Startled by how big they were, she almost found herself falling backwards, but she was able to regain her balance before she made a fool of herself. "Why hello there." She called to the stallion rather cheerfully.

With his attention elsewhere Mornhavon didn't notice the small creature approach until it landed suddenly on his nose. Did he look like a flower?! He was no flower so why the hell was this bug landing on him. And then it said hello. Oh hell no! Snorting loudly Mornhavon shook his head trying to rid himself of whatever was on his nose. "Who said that?" He demanded, believing that perhaps someone else had said hello to him. As far as he knew bugs couldn't talk. And if they could, well he would need to learn to ignore their voices.
Perhaps it wasn't the bug at all. Maybe, just maybe, all those years of frustration had finally gotten to him and he was now hearing things. Great, that's just what he needed, to become crazy. Better it be the bug talking. Stomping his hoof Mornhavon glared in the direction of the bug. "I don't appreciate being interrupted." And just to be on the safe side he added. "And bugs don't talk. So whoever is hiding better damn well show themselves!"

Frightened by the sudden movement, Olivia found herself taking to the air to avoid being dislodged by the usdia. When it appeared to be safe, she landed once more. "My my, that's not very nice now is it?" She asked the minicorn, "I'm just as much of a bug as you are." She replied feeling rather hurt by the minicorn's harsh words.
She tilted her head to the side a bit as she talked, studying the eyes that lay before her. This little stallion seemed to be a bit of a grump. Perhaps he could use a dose of niceness? Yes, that was it! She would most definitely have to cheer him up. After all, everyone who was grumpy simply just needed to find themselves a loyal friend.
"I'm Olivia." She told him brightly. "I don't suppose that you have a name do you? " She continued on.

"And landing on someones nose is nice?" And what's worse is the damned bug had the gall to land on his nose ones more. Did he have some magic power that brought all the world annoyances to him? Mornhavon was seriously beginning to think so. "I am not a bug. You are a bug!" He snorted and gave his head another toss. "Great now I'm talking to a bug!" This day just kept getting worse, maybe he should have stayed with the herd after all and dealt with all their whiny problems. At least there he wasn't accosted by insects, talking insects to be exact. "Get off my nose or I will crush you against that tree you stupid bug."
Ears flicked back in frustration. And now the bug was telling him her name. Bugs don't talk! Bugs certainly don't have names! "I ain't tell no bug my name." And with that he fell silent, looking extremely annoyed at the tiny bug. Also hoping that no one came by to see him yelling at nothing, for they certainly wouldn't see the bug if they were at a distance.

Olivia wide-eyed, took to the air once more in shock. Well then! Wasn't this little minicorn a bit of a rude one? It seemed that he was going to take a tad bit more convincing than she had initially thought. Carefully, the flutter floated on down to the ground and stood a few feet away from the minicorn. She had briefly debated on shifting right on top of him, but immediately regretted the thought. Even if it would have been immensely satisfying.
Satisfied that she was far enough away from the little stallion, the mare began her transformation. In a matter of seconds she found herself towering above the stallion. Looking down at him with a warm smile, she spoke once more. "See, I told you I'm not a bug. Now then, I don't suppose you've changed your mind about that name? It'd be mighty hard to be friends with someone if you don't know their name." She went on cheerfully.

Mornhavon snorted again as the bug took to the air. Annoying critters they were. Best solved by a hoof crushing them. Of course that thought was interrupted when the tiny bug changed into a full sized Soquili, and a heavy set one at that. Before he realized what he was doing Mornhavon took several quick steps back, tipping over a root and tumbled over backwards. He was quick to recover and tried his best to look like he had not just had the shock of his life. Bugs do not do that! Just what the hell was going on here!
He stared at the now large mare for several seconds, mouth slightly open. Words refused to come out. Clearly those plants he had encountered earlier had some form of hallucinogenic properties for him to see a bug turn into a horse with wings. Note to self: Stay away from those plants. Giving his head a firm shake Mornhavon tried to get his mind back to where it should be. But no matter how hard he shook it the mare was still there. "Just what the hell are you?" He finally blurted out, ignoring her question about his name. Before he shared any information he needed to know just what he was up against and whether the mare was indeed real or herb induced.

Olivia smiled down at the little Usdia. She knew she really shouldn't, but she had felt some satisfaction in upsetting the stallion. Perhaps he might not be quite so rude next time. Or perhaps it wouldn't change the way he behaved at all, she noted. "Well now, I'm surprised you don't know." She said a bit shocked that he didn't recognize a flutter. "I'm a flutter. Just like any other soquili except that I can make myself nice and tiny whenever I feel like it. Maybe you've never seen my kind because you've never cared to look." She continued on, a bit upset by how rude he was being to her. He probably didn't even think she was real.

Ha a flutter, what a pansy sounding breed. Letting out a snort of disdain Mornhavon eyed the no longer a bug but now very large mare. He didn't think the ability to change ones size was all that impressive. Hell most thought smaller breeds were useless so why would anyone want to willingly make themselves that small...unless they were stupid, that could explain things. "That's where you're wrong." He said stamping his hoof in annoyance. "I've never seen your kind because I am new to these lands. We didn't have any silly 'Flutters' where I came from." The closest thing were the Putti's and Pixie's but they couldn't change size. Though the Pixie's did have wings that resembled this mares, but not on their size, on their heads and butts.
Some days he wished he could go back to the old lands...today was looking like one of those days. He didn't much like socializing, especially with mares such as this one. But more importantly she was keeping him from his work. To make matters worse, she was annoying chipper...Mornhavon detested being happy or nice most of the time.

Olivia frowned at the little Usdia. It seemed that no matter what she said or did, this stallion was determined to remain unhappy. "Where you come from?" She asked curiously, tilting her head to the side. Perhaps that was why this Stallion looked odd to her. Certainly she hadn't thought that she had seen his kind before. Yes she had seen Usdia's, but none that bared his certain... traits. Then again, there were so many different varieties of Soquili that she really shouldn't be all that shocked. In reality, he was simply a miniature version of a Unicorn. Sort of how she could become a miniature version of herself. Then again maybe he could make himself larger too? The mare debated on asking him for a moment, but then decided that it was highly unlikely he could grow any larger than he was.
"I didn't know that you were new to these lands." She continued on in her annoyingly cheerful voice. "How long have you been here? If I'm the first flutter that you've seen then perhaps I should show you around. Who knows what else you've been missing out on?" Olivia beamed down at the stallion, simply thinking that she was being helpful as opposed to annoying.

"From far away." He told her bluntly. Honestly he didn't feel like going over all the details of how far he had traveled to get here. He was here now and chances are he was never going back, even if he wanted to some days. None of that really mattered anyways. Who wants to hear about a long, boring and fairly annoying journey of an several herds of his kind and others traveling from a dangerous land to a new and unknown land. Oh yes, real boring tale, and he did not feel like sharing it. Especially with this mare. Of course she didn't seem to be giving up on talking to him either so he leg out a haggard sigh.
"A few weeks I guess. I don't pay attention to things like that." He let out another snort, nothing he could say would make this mare lose that smile or the annoying happy tone her voice seemed to permanently hold. "Whatever I am apparently missing out on I doubt it's important anyways." What could possibly be important here? Soquili that can change themselves into bugs? Ha! Like that's an important detail to know.

Olivia dearly wanted to frown at the little thing. Although she supposed that would be rude and she continued to keep her happy face. "Well, that doesn't tell me very much." She told him cheerfully. "I'm sure a little fella like you journeying from such a far off land has to have lots of stories! I bet your just dieing to tell them! It's okay, you really don't have to be so modest." She beamed at him. "I know I look big and intimidating but really I'm a sweetheart and I don't bite I promise. Not to mention I don't have anywhere to be or anything so I have lots of time. Come now, what's the name of the land that you come from? And what sort of species are you? I mean, sure you look like a miniature unicorn but I'm sure you have a more official name for your breed? Oh! Did you meet any Kalonas on your journey? I've heard awful stories about them, yet I've never met any before. Oh I do hope you didn't run into any Skin walkers, I be that would be just awful..." She trailed off as a wandering butterfly caught her attention, then she turned back to the little stallion hoping for a good story.

If Mornhavon thought he disliked the mare before this moment, now he really hated her. Eyes narrowed, a snort escaped him and his hoof pounded the ground in anger. "Who the hell are you calling a 'little fella'?" He knew he was small, it's not like he had any choice in the matter. But of all things in his world, he HATED being called little. He was not little! "What, just because I ain't a large brute like you means that I'm little? Do you even think before you speak? Do I have a sign on my somewhere that tells you to call me little?" He could barely see straight he was so damned angry right now. This mare...she had been a thorn in his side since she had first landed on his nose in bug form, and now that she was bigger, well she was an even bigger pain in the a**.
"What just because you can turn all small like a stupid bug gives you the right to judge others size? Does that mean I can call you a lard a**? Because honestly your so damned big I wonder how many small creatures you have killed by stepping on them." His words slipped out without much thought, though honestly he wouldn't care if he offended the mare. She had offended him so it was only fair he could do the same. "Did I invite you to land on my nose? Maybe I should have stepped on you then, like the stupid little bug that you were." Pausing for a moment he caught his breath. Only half of what else she had said had registered in his mind. "I have no clue what the hell a Kalona is, but I think I would much rather be running into one of them than standing here talking to you."
