For the most part, Shun wasn't expecting any visitors today. Well, there was always the chance Lizzy or Mitsu would stop by, but their appearances weren't really planned. He didn't mind, anyway. Their company wasn't unwelcome in the least, and in the case of the former, the demon probably still needed some quiet companion due to what had recently happened.

In any case, he was just finishing up on fixing a broken string on his guitar, working on getting it returned. He heard the light knock at his door, but no words to follow. Mitsu had a key now, so he thought it was perhaps Lizzy.

Setting the instrument down onto his bed, he walked to the door and opened up. The Reaper was a bit surprised to see Roch standing there on the other side.

" ... Hello. Is there something you need?" he asked. Maybe the punk rocker had the wrong door. Then again, he had stopped by once before for homework. So who knew?

Shun raised an eyebrow as Roch mentioned a teleportation thing. Well, the other boy was a grim reaper as well, so it could very well had been the same technique as his own. Or, perhaps it was some sort of variation. The bruise on Roch's face also didn't get past him.

Maybe he had gone right into a wall or something like that.

He didn't reply right away. Instead, he just suddenly disappeared leaving nothing but a few shadowy wisps in his wake. Within the next moment, he was behind Roch.

"Like that?" he said calmly.

"I've also been working with this ability for a few years now," Shun said while thinking, "And yes, it is useful against long ranged fighters. It also provides a quick escape in a dire situation. It does have its limits though. Unless a fight is drawing out for a long time, you'll likely only get one shot."

"I'm guessing you came to me for some help with honing the skill, then?" he asked while looking over the other Reaper.

He was aware that Roch was a good friend of Xiu's.. as well as one of the guys who was apparently trying to court her. Or something like that. He didn't know he was trying to give up on that.

Shun was quiet for a few moments, considering his options. He really didn't have too much of a reason to help out Roch. But, he was thinking about a few other things. The other guy cared about Xiu and while he was a little wary of him, he was another who could help keep an eye out for her. If he could get this skill down, it meant he might be able to do that more easily.

"Alright. I'll help you out. Let's go outside. We'll need the extra room," he said before moving around the other Reaper so he could close his door.

"As for repayment. We'll figure that out later."

"I'm aware you aren't her boyfriend. But you care about her, do you not? Some of those Hunters have range. You'll need to know how to get close," he explained plainly. Shun stared at Roch for a moment, frowning at the comment about contacting his old man.

"Well. Do you or do you not want help? Just telling you pointers isn't going to be as useful."

Shun raised an eyebrow at the comment on wearing a skirt. No, he wouldn't do anything like that. That would not help with the training process in the slightest. Placing his hands into his pockets, he started on outside.

"We'll need room first... preferably not in a place where you'll be liable to run into all the walls," he said while casting a glance to the other, "Next, you'll need to know the limitations outside of the fact there'll likely be a few minutes between each shadow step you do. Don't attempt to teleport with anyone. It won't work and it's a bit of a dangerous thing to do. Another thing to keep in mind.. you can't teleport through a wall. You more or less need line of sight. You'll also need to find out and know how far you can move in one 'step'. Knowing your range is important."

Once outside, he stepped out onto the lawn of the Reaper dorm. He summoned his daggers and stabbed one down into the grass.

"Now. Show me what you can do. Teleport to the dagger."

Shun stepped away. Just in case.

Waiting, Shun watched as Roch found himself way off the mark. Well, that explained why he probably was running into walls and whatnot. It was a good thing he decided to take this outside. No doubt he would have ended up hurting himself quite a bit. But, seeing him go did confirm that he also had the shadow step ability.

"Your focus was off. That's my guess at least. You need to focus your FEAR towards your target. Don't just try to go as far as you can in the general direction of it."

Hopefully that made sense.
