Spoof:Aryon stumbled his way through the thick green foliage. It had been days that he had been separated from Ellette and he was thankful only that the surroundings were somewhat familiar. They had been looking for his mother to introduce her to Ellette, but all he could recall of his childhood was a lush jungle filled with wildflowers. The largest jungle in the Kawani Lands was this one, and it had been conveniently close to the areas they had been exploring already. He was thrown from his musing when his hoof sank lower than he thought it would and half his leg was suddenly submerged in tepid water. A leech tried to find purchase but he noticed and shook it off with a growl. Why was his mother living here again? Aryon hated the jungle…
DG:Rayen emerged from her home she had constructed with the help of her mother when her kids still in there baskets. It wasn’t so much a home as it was a structure in between a small grouping of trees made of sticks they had found. It may have been small but it did its job in sheltering her and her young foals from the rain that often poured in the jungle as well from some of the creatures that came out at night. It seemed much larger now that her children were all grown up and out on their own, now only Rayen lived in it. The only reason she had begun living in the jungle in the first place was she had come one day with Milano when she was pregnant and then the foals were born and it was too difficult to travel two young foals by herself after Milano went his separate way with one of their daughters. She could have decided to find a different place to call home now that her kids were gone but it had some sentimental value to her, after all she raised her family here and the jungle had kind of grown on her. It was filled with a diverse population of other animals and her favorite part, the beautiful flowers. Over time as her kids got older and left she had woven flowers in between the sticks of her home and now it was covered in beautiful flowers of all different colors. The last she had heard, her only boy Aryon had a life mate and Adelyn was spending time with a stallion named Asariel. She often wondered how they were doing and if they might visit her soon.
Spoof:Aryon continued to shamble through the jungle, occasionally stepping in pools of water and when he kept his eyes on his feet he walked straight into a spider’s web. Thoroughly annoyed with the place he had grown up, he wondered where his skill at navigating had gone. Probably the same place his sense of direction had gone, he thought sullenly. Ever since that fall last winter, he had been having a harder time remembering landmarks and he was afraid that soon it would not only be landmarks, but people and relationships. He’d had a hard time coming to terms with not being able to find Gypsy and still didn’t know whether it was because she did not wish to be found or if he was simply unable to remember in enough detail the last places he had seen her. Either way, he was thoroughly happy with Ellette. His relationship with Gypsy had been short and sweet and he’d thought they were meant to be. Ellette had been his mentor, friend, confidant, guide, and now lover. They had been through a lot together in the nearly two years they’d known each other and with her the world felt right.
He realized he was daydreaming and felt a pang of worry. They had been separated yesterday and he had been half searching for her, half searching for his mother’s flowery home. He couldn’t remember the way but he remembered vividly what it looked like. A small lean-to made of sticks woven through small trees had turned into a rainbow assortment of flowering plants his mother had coaxed to grow through the natural trellis created by the structure. It was a stunning sight, and hard to miss in the jungle. He figured that he would either run into Ellette while wandering or find his mother and Ellette would not be far behind. This had happened a couple of times before, much to his chagrin. He would loose track of where he was and suddenly nothing was familiar. Normally he would stay in one place until she found him again but this time he had felt sure he would be able to navigate through the jungle. Spirits, he had grown up here! He should well know the landmarks and paths to his home. Alas, it took him only a half hour or so to realize this was not the case and that he was hopelessly lost. At least he hadn’t run into a spider’s web in a while, nor stepped into a pool of water.
DG:Adelyn decided to go and visit her mother, it had been a little while since the last time she visited her. She sometimes worried about her mother living all by herself so far in this maze of a jungle. She knew it had been hard on her mom when her dad left, as the same thing had happen to Rayen before when her own father had left after she was born. Adelyn hoped that maybe she would be able to convince her mother during this visit to come back with her for a little while at least and socialize with other soquili. It was time her mom met another stallion, she had to be getting lonely, after all every mare has needs even her mother.
Adelyn knew this jungle well and felt as though she could find her way there blindfolded. She had always been a rather energetic and adventurous filly and had often ventured off on her own to explore but always managed to find her way back eventually to her often very worried mother. After a bit of walking she saw someone off in the distance. She began to pick up her pace to get a better glimpse of the other soquili in between the trees. It couldn’t be.. Could it? It was! It was Aryon, it had been a long time since she had last seen her brother. She ran over to him, and snuck up on him before playfully nipping at his tail. “Hey you, long time no see!”
Spoof:Aryon was about ready to give up. He’d been wandering by himself for over a day and a half now, going in circles for all he knew. Everything looked the same and the only way he knew he was making any sort of progress was the distinct lack of annoying puddles he had encountered lately. With a sigh he stopped walking entirely, what was the point? He should just stay in one place in the hopes that Ellette would find him.
So engrossed in his moping was he, that when his sister snuck up behind him he jumped about a foot in the air, whipping around, ready to defend himself from an attack. The swamp snakes, skin walkers, bears, and wolves had taught him to be alert, and if not then at least to recover quickly. Thus, when he sighted his sister, his mouth dropped and he stared. “A-adelyn, is that you?!” he exclaimed, immensely glad to see a familiar face in this accursed jungle.
“Wow, I haven’t seen you in forever!! How long has it been, 5 years at least!”
Shock turned quickly into enthusiasm, Adelyn would know how to find their mother and he had genuinely missed his sister. It was good to see her again and made him even more excited to see his mother…hopefully Ellette would be okay to find it on her own. He wasn’t worried, she was a very capable mare.

((I am too lazy to find a cert of Adelyn, post it in your next post? Also let me know when you have your teepee updated/a new one...Rayen and Adelyn are not in your current one. : ( ))
