She had arrived just as they planned, it was late on a Moonday nogt after classes had ended and most people where settling in for the night or even already asleep. For undeads like her and Maladore time to sleep meant little. For some it was partaken in, others meditated or even went about as need be not even pausing to sleep when others did.

This would be one of those nights.

Sammy had planned to talk with Mal about it at some point, the idea of FEAR being pushed out of one body and into another. Where Mal healed, Sammy wanted to wound, but to learn even that she had to understand the concepts healers had been using for ages. Close, personal, and understanding how to effect the body the way they wanted. Only then could she learn how to wound with it.

With that in mind she knocked waiting for the plague doctor to answer inside his room.

Malodore had been reading, as usual; experiments were all well and good, but its reading list was a good mile long at this point. It had a lot of knowledge to catch up on! The plague doctor was deep into Studies of Monstrous Evolution when Sammy knocked. For one sour moment, it considered not answering the door, especially when there was no mental brush following said knock. Not Riley, then...

Well. For someone to come around at this time of night probably meant they had a good reason to bother it... at least in their opinion. Malodore put the book down with a faint sigh, then padded over to the door.

"Sammy?" it said, surprised.

It took a few minutes, but the door finally slipped open revealing the Plague Doctor inside. She gave a lazy wave, though the night was late it was free for both of them to do what they needed to do.

"Heya Doc, got some time to spare?" She shrugged her shoulders, "I wanted to ask you about some stuff you know a bit more about. Medical stuff ya know?" She scuffed a boot at the edge of the door. "Just wanted to have a chance to talk alone, about it. Less chance to be bothered right?"

"Ah, of course." Malodore tilted its head to one side. It hadn't thought Sammy had much interest in medical matters - unless she wanted to learn some techniques for self-improvement, like how it had helped her with that hair transplant? "What do you wish to know?"

Sammy had interest in the subject, but again it was something that didn't quite fall with in the good doctors usual field of study. Slowly she inched into the room glancing around to check that others weren't around keeping the plague doctor company.

"Well, normally i would ask Cricket for anything relating to this, but my questions fall a bit outside the normal." She glanced around one last time before frowning a bit, "I know it's possible to heal someone with FEAR, simply pressing it into or onto them and the results are well. We've all seen what Cricket can do. I want to know more about that... specifically what can go wrong and how it effects people possibly not of Halloween."

"It... it can go wrong." Malodore looked away for a moment, remembering what had happened to Brynhild. "The FEAR we use to heal can be used to harm - it is the same as what we use in battle, simply turned to a different use. Once... I healed someone, in desperation. They were healed, but also sickened again in a different fashion because my healing was inexpert. Too much is as bad as too little."

It tilted its head thoughtfully at the second question. "As for the effects, I could not say. The only thing not of Halloween I have had the chance to experiment on were fragments taken from Christmas Town. They were changed by the ambient FEAR, their JOY subsumed or perhaps transformed by the environment into more FEAR."
