The whole thing had been a total disaster and dissapointment. They haven't made it to Mau at all, really they hadn't made it anywhere. AND the whole blow back with people turning into cats? It wasn't that she minded more Mauvians.. heck she'd have loved to have more, and she'd had more then a little fun flirting and messing with some of the changlings. But it was little consulation for the failure.
Failure, obviously it was the fault of the cats that had built the stupid machine. Brooding about the whole thing Dahlia made her evening rounds half heartedly, barely paying attention to what was going on around her.
It was times like these she wished she could bother Realgar or Benitoite and lament. But unfortunately Realgar was busy most nights getting accustomed to his new life. And Benitoite...? Well her last few trips past his home had left her with nothing more than darkened and locked windows.

The windows had been locked as Lily had them locked since it was cold and there was no kitty door as of yet in the back door of the townhouse. Benitoite himself wasn't to be seen working the nights either, performing his duties of energy gathering, as he'd been spending his nights out and about as a cat himself. Keeping to darkened alley's in order to avoid attention, though he had recently gone out into the sunlight but that was because his nose had led him out into the sunlight.
Tonight was like every other night spent as a cat, he was in dark alley's the only difference tonight was the fight with some other alley cat. Hissing and scratching at the tabby the dark furred Negaverse cat shouted in English at the cat, rather than resorting to using a language the ugly tabby would know. It had all started because he'd been curled up by a heating grate which apparently the tabby considered his, as if it bore the tabby's name.
"If you have fleas...." Growling as he picked himself up from where he'd been knocked down. He did not need to get fleas because some temperamental cat had them and decided to pass them on, unknowingly or not. He did not want to be a cat and have fleas, that would just make things even worse than they already were.

Though he'd told her about his new home Dahlia had yet to be inside of it. And with the sudden dissapearance of the once familiar captain both at home and on the streets doing his job the corrupted guardian was beginning to worry that was being particularly avoided. Why she couldn't even begin to guess. But her expression had definately soured as she stared up at the dark home before finally giving up and turning away.
"If you have fleas..." Her ivory ears twitched a little as she barely heard the words echoing from a nearby alley. The weird and bizarre words. It was enough to make her stop, whiskers flaring in soft curiousity.
Other guardian cats in the area? Why hadn't she noticed them in the first place if that was the fact? Was there a battle going on? She couldn't really imagine stuffy old Masahiro getting into more trouble then he could handle.. so the insult must have come from one of the goodie two shoes.
Well... she had nothing better to do tonight anyway... Might as well have a little fun watching someone get their tail handed to them.
With a soft jingle of her necklace Dahlia padded nonchalantly towards the catfight, a look of surprise touching her when she turned the corner to find the dark aura was coming from someone who was definately not Masahiro.

He would never avoid Dahlia, in fact he quite liked her company and missed it. He had been hoping to run in to her, but wasn't quite sure where or how to find her. He didn't want to go near his home, for fear of bringing the war to his own doorstep; it was something to be avoided at all cost. He would not have his best friend brought in to this war, not when she would have no say. He couldn't do it to her, and wouldn't.
Nope, rather it was a dark colored feline who was lining himself up to pounce the tabby, planning to bite the thing if he could land properly onto the tabby's back. "I really hope you don't have fleas." He was not looking forward to this but he was planning to put an end to this fight as soon as he could, he didn't care to get torn and bitten up by some alley cat.
It was that familiar feel of a guardian cat, a dark one, which stole his attention and caused him to whip around only to shout. "Dahlia!" Oh god! He'd found her, or rather she'd found him. Either way it didn't matter who'd found who, he was here and she was here and that's what mattered. "Mind giving a Captain a hand...or paw?" He sounded hopeful, even as he hissed over his shoulder at the tabby...a warning clearly.

She had seen Albireo changed... and other people.. all senshi though. And while it was strange and off putting for a moment.. it did not match the strange feeling that swept over her as she heard the familiar voice come from the small kitty body. Not when she finally equated that voice with it's owner and realized that the cat was no senshi. Nor was it even order aligned.
"Benitoite?" Even as she asked she was quickly bracing the distance between them in a feline jog, her eyes searching him curiously. Under regular circumstances it would be wonderful to see him. Under this one though.. there was a mixture of joy and confusion.
The nonmauvian tabby received only a half look from Dahlia, far more interested in her find to care about the other cat or the apparent battle the Captain turned cat had got himself into. Until he asked of course.
Her teeth barred at the tabby, ears dipping back in response as she made her move to step ahead of Benitoite and put herself in between the two.
"Getting yourself into trouble?" She teased the poor Captain.

"Of course, doesn't the ivy give it away?" He asked, flashing the marking he bore upon his front leg. He rather liked it, though it also was something to keep hidden from people. The ivy design on his coat was something he liked, elegant and simple. He only hoped if he ever made General it remained, maybe expanded a bit. It was a park of his uniform he loved and wished to keep, maybe a little more formal would be nice though. Someone needed to look proper and formal, when everyone else didn't.
"Not that I tried to, I was merely walking around when this common alley cat decided to start something. I can hold my own against a senshi, but I'm not fond of mouthfuls of fur." He stated, making the most disgusted face he could. Smiling as he stepped around her and stood at her side. "You needn't protect me, just help me. I believe we both can handle this in short time, then we can speak." How he'd missed Dahlia, he enjoyed her company like some cat obsessed old lady enjoyed her cats. But that was because Dahlia spoke and they could hold intelligent conversations. She wasn't some common cat like the one in front of them.
"I've seen others like myself, no one else from our side though. I do hope you can tell me I'm not the only servant of chaos like this."

Her eyes flicked momentarily towards the mentioned ivy markings, but it would have to wait until later to truly admire the delicate details. The tabby cat certainly couldn't stand up against them, especially not with two of them now, but that didn't mean it wasn't stupid or stubborn enough to lash out anyway. And Dahlia had no desire for mussed fur or, heaven forbid, permanent scars.
"Get out of here mongrel." She hissed towards the other cat, her back arching in an attempt to look bigger and more intimidating, going so far as swatting the air in front of her in warning.
Creamy white ears flicked softly at the captain's question, and she gave a soft shake of her head. "I'm sorry.. I haven't seen any other yet. But if it hit you then I imagine there must be some nonsenshi that were affected by it too."

"At least one civilian." He spoke, following her lead in arching his back and hissing loudly, he didn't swat at the air, but rather tried to curl his lip as much as he could.
Perhaps that ugly tom cat was smarter then he looked, as it seemed to look between them, once he got out from under Benitoite who'd pounced and indeed bitten him. Judging this a fight he couldn't win the tom fled. The poor thing already had a few injuries, as did Benitoite himself. Standing there he turned his attention back to Dahlia.
"A knight also, I've not seen anyone else myself...." Senshi were cursed like this also, interesting. It would seem it had hit people of every...class, he couldn't think of any other term to use which fit.

A civilian too? That was a surprise to the creamy white guardian and she didn't even try to hide it. The power hitting senshi hadn't been that hard to swallow.. and though she was surprised to see Benitoite as he was.. it was something that her mind could at least wrap around. But someone without powers at all? Ughh... now people not in the fight were going to know about talking cats? How much trouble was THAT going to cause? Those stupid stupid white moon guardians. Did they even know yet how much trouble they might have caused. The tip of her tail was flicking with angry energy and it wasn't aimed at the tom cat that was finally retreating.
"It is very strange... I can't find the logic in it at all." She sighed in return, a sour expression on her usually lovely face. It softened a bit, however, as she noticed a bit of a cut on the other 'cat' though. "Just look at what you've done to yourself..."
Before he might have a chance to protest she stepped forward, her scratchy pink tongue reaching out to lap at the wound once. If he didn't protest, and perhaps even if he did a little she would likely continue on, intent on cleaning out each one she found.

"It is rather hard to grasp at first, that a civilian has been brought in to this. It means that whatever happened to use isn't because of our energy signatures." It didn't latch on to that, it went for them for some other reason - something they had in common with a civilian? Or was it completely and utterly random? Though he didn't like that idea, it didn't sit well with him.
"Have you any idea what happe-" He didn't finish as a pink, rough, tongue was gliding over one of the cuts he'd taken. Rather startled eyes turned to Dahlia before he settled and decided to just go along with it, she was likely to continue even if he protested.
"I didn't ask that cat to attack me, I'd rather fight a senshi as opposed to an alley cat - less chance of fleas."

There was a soft bit of laughter as Benitonite tried to defend and justify himself, before she began her assault on his wounds.
"Even as sweet as you are you have too much testosterone for the life of an animal. You need to make your choice."
"Either be willing to fight and defend that decision at all times. Or simply submit. It isn't like the war. There is little shame in retreating or giving up little things to avoid conflict. There will always be another mouse, or another warm place to sleep."
Seemingly pleased with her work, eying him carefully to make sure she hadn't missed any injury, she sat back on her haunches, speaking thoughtfully. Albeit vaguely. "I think.. that this might have something to do with something that the senshi's guardians are working on."
"A backfire of a plan not well enough thought out, or something like that."

"No, I'll be the first to admit I'm not suited to be anything but human." He said honestly, he was really not suited to such a life. He did hope this ended, and soon. He had many issues with being a cat, or any animal, and this seemed to have been added to the list.
Listening to Dahlia he bobbed his head in acceptance of her words. He supposed it made sense, for an animal with an animals conscious mind. Unfortunately, it didn't work for him as demonstrated today.
"Have you got any clue besides that? What they were trying to do perhaps? I just...am clueless and would like to know how this came to pass." And he'd made the assumption that she was involved in the final event, what caused his feline appearance.

"Well then, I guess someone is going to need to keep an eye on you until we figure something out." The cat mused with a slow swishing of her tail, watching him with soft interest. It might be a little harder to find a house she could stay in if she had a tag along. But even if not Dahlia had always been crafty and self sufficient when necessary.
At his question she paused a moment thoughtfully.
What would the negaverse think of their guardians agreeing to help the senshi's guardians? Or moreso.. how would they feel if they knew their cats were actively looking for a way to visit their home planet Mau? Would they see it in the strategic way that Masahiro and Dahlia had? Or would it bring forth fear and uncertainty amongst their superiors. Just like the fear and uncertainty surrounding the Dark Mirror Court? Would they see it as treason?
It was those worries that kept her silent to his question, before weaving a soft smile along with her lie, brushing away the comment as best she could. "I really have no clue what those cats were trying to do. Despite once being one.. it's hard to grasp their brainwashed fancy once your eyes have been opened to logic and the truth. I haven't infiltrated quite deep enough yet for that much information."

A nodding of his head as the darker cat leaned down to rest his head gently on the cream colored cats shoulder. "I have been staying with General Painite, she is rather the cat person it would seem, she's been letting me out so I can try and track down whatever information I may be able to find." And she was doing the same.
Laughing as he lifted his head he smiled at the other feline. "Mmmm, a cat which goes by many names said she knew you before you joined our side. I wasn't aware you once served the other side. It is nice to have you on our side, I would be rather bored if you weren't." Dahlia made for good company when he had little, to nothing, else to do in the evenings aside from watch the news online or have his tv on as background noise as he half took in whatever was coming over the speakers.

Painite huh? Despite having heard of the general Dahlia had not met her more than in passing during large scale events. She seemed incredibly capable and dangerous, but to hear she was a cat lover too? The Mauvian would definately have to make the time to hunt out General Painite sometime in the future. One could never know too many cat lovers.
"It sounds like you've got it pretty well figured out then. I'll help escort you home to the General then." Not that it was likely he'd get in trouble during the trip, but one never knew. And besides.. she'd missed his company a bit. Her tail flipped a little in silent annoyance as she realized too that she missed his petting, something she couldn't ask for now.
Settling to his side, she waited for him to lead the way, murring a little as Benitoite mentioned the tailless 'kitten'. "I don't remember very much from my time on the other side. But I too am glad I was able to see past whatever magic it is that blinds the senshi. It's good to be on the winning team."
