Rolled a two: Rock field:Tremors ripple forth from center-field as the basic floor shifts to a rock and dirt field. Rock towers emerge forth from the ground to offer a place of escape or an advantageous attack position. The breeze from the stadium air conditioners stirs the loose sand on the field, creating a mini sandstorm that reduces visibility. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ROCK type attacks. This field reduces FIRE type attacks by 25 HP

Walpurgis felt just at home in the faux sandstorm raging around him. He sent Gangrel out in a blast of red light.
Grooming his face, Gangrel waited for his opponent.

Mina propped herself up towards the trainer's platform, coughing against the loosened sand while it whirred and lifted her to a safe distance above. When the miniature sandstorm was far enough below for her to safely uncover her eyes, she waved towards the cloaked opponent across the field, smiling amiably.
"Looking forward to battling you!" she called out before letting out her own Pokémon.
Rohe hefted her bone onto her shoulder when she was released, hoping for a battle and pleased to find one already prepared. Her trainer rarely passed through towns with Stadiums in them, and so she would use the opportunity as best as she could.
With a rough "Maro!" she stepped into the field of rock and stone, eager for a fight.

Walpurgis gave a slight nod of the hand as an acknowledgement to the opponents greeting. He pulled his Devon Corp Go-Goggles onto his face to protect his eye from the sand, just like in Route 111. Granted, then, he still had both his eyes, but still.
Gangrel looked up at the Marowak. Gangrel had to admit to himself that it was a little intimidating. The Marowak was in his element here, and so if there was ever a time for a sneak attack, this was it.
The rattata's eyes turned a light blue as he blasted a beam of ice towards his (hopefully) unsuspecting opponent.

From her vantage point, Mina could better see the Ice Beam as it shot through towards her Marowak.
"Dodge it, Rohe!" she cried, glad the Pokémon trusted her to leap to the side as soon as she heard, despite seeing no sign of the Ice Beam until it glanced across her bone, icing its tip. "Try to lower its defense! Use Focus Blast!"
Rohe did as requested. Balancing her bone between her shoulder and elbow, she held both paws out before her, forming glowing balls of light between them that shot themselves towards her opponent.

The balls of light crashed into Gangrel - well, at least they would have, if they hadn't instead phased into him. Walpurgis understood the dangers of that move, ordering Gangrel to use Ice Beam before the marowak got a chance to make use of the now lowered defenses.

Unfortunately, this time, Mina was unable to warn her Pokémon in time. The attack had caught them both off guard, and the latest Ice Beam formed a thick cube of ice around Rohe.
Rohe glowered from within when she realized what had happened. She had once been frozen for nearly a whole battle once before, which, in her opinion, completely ruined the point of a battle. How could one even call it that, if she, the opponent, was rendered unable to retaliate?
Keeping up her glare, she tried to shift from within to break the ice faster.

Walpurgis grinned. No win was better than a win gained by using an opponent's strategy against them.
"Gangrel, use Rock Smash to lower it's defenses!"
On command, a rock materialized before the rattata and sailed toward Rohe.

Rohe rumbled dangerously from her confines, eyes narrowed. The Rock Smash affected her despite the somewhat protective covering she had been given, but despite the impact it made, and in such close proximity, her eyes never left the Rattata's.

If anything, the mocking further spurned Rohe's anger. She was never known for her calm demeanor, and she proved this now by struggling roughly within the ice, swinging her bone as soon as room allowed.

There was a certain pleasure in enraging an opponent who can't do anything. Gangrel couldn't quite explain it, but he didn't need to explain it. Instead, he stuck his tongue out in the absolute most childish way he could as another rock flew at the imprisoned marowak.

Still Rohe's anger grew, and she began to hit the ice harder now. At least when she had been frozen before, her opponent had done little but attack her back! All the Rattata seemed to be doing was mocking her.

Gangrel walked nonchalantly, mockingly, up to the trapped marowak. With the finesse only a true master could display, he turned around and slapped his hindquarters before another rock materialized and smashed into the ice point blank, shattering it.
