It had taken most of the day for the child to get home, and to top it all off, she had been missing before either Bell or Xavier had woken up that morning. Surely they had received a call from the school saying that she had been absent and even after dinner there was still no sign of the child. It wasn't until after that she had finally made it back. She didn't know what to do and while she had probably the best excuse on the face of the planet, she still sat there by the door with confusion: just how was she going to get inside?
"Bell! Cora! Xavier!" She called urgently at the door in hopes that someone would hear her, followed by an insistent scratching at the door. She was begging for someone to hear her, direly trying to get the attention of the people inside. She didn't want to sleep outside! She wasn't like Sam, she didn't like camping under the stars with bugs crawling all over her! Not to mention it was already so cold.
Hypnos made a leap at the door, trying to latch onto the doorknob but not making it nearly high enough to jingle it. She landed with a bit of a cry, and then rolled right into a pot of some sort that had been lingering on the porch, knocking it over and making a bit of a loud crash. Topped with all the crying and scratching she had done, it must have sounded like quite the commotion from inside.

There had indeed been a call, and Xavier had spend most of the day - as Themis - combing the town for the tiny little senshi of sleep, or baring that, any sign of Ainsley. He'd turned up unsucessful, and now Bell had taken over while he rested some, tired from leaping from rooftop to rooftop most of the day.
But still, his worry was nagging at him. Where had Ainsley gone ? They'd had specific rules - always be home early, by senshi standard, unless either Bellatrix or Themis was tagging along, and usually she was good about following them.
Where had she gone ?
The sudden noise startled him out of his thoughts with a sudden 'ack', and Tempo's meowing made him frown. "Girl, what did you do this time ?" Came the familiar voice, along with footsteps coming toward the door.
Tempo, on her part, had heard - or probably smelled - Hypnos-kitten a long time ago, and had started scratching at the door right back, meowing. There was another cat there ! She wanted to see ! She stopped to look up at Xavier, meowing once more.
In the end, it was Tempo's diligence that made Xavier open the door. And blink. Cat. Kitten.
Kitten with a star on it's forehead. Through... No, he'd never seen that cat. "Cat... ?" He asked, playing dumb for the moment. This didn't look like a negaverse cat, but when in doubt...

The sound of Xavier's voice was the most relieving thing Hypnos had heard in a long time. The kitten, completely dirty from her day around the town and her current accident on the porch, looked up at him with ice blue eyes. They were pleading and almost looked like they were going to tear up any second. She could barely believe it. She had spent the whole day trying to get home but now, looking up at Xavier, she could barely believe it. She... she was home!
"Xavier! Xavier, it's me. It's Hypnos." It was short and to the point.

But he recognized her voice, quite easily in fact. "What the hell ?" He knelt to look at the tiny little kitten, looking quite puzzled. "What happened to you ?"
And how long had she been going about like this ? Of course, neither him or Bell had thought to look for a cat...
Before he could do anything more, however, Tempo decided all this wide-eyed staring was silly. She sniffed at Hypnos a bit, then seemed to promptly decide that this kitten was hers, caught her by the scruff of her neck, then carried her inside.
"H-Hey ! Tempo ! Don't do that !" And therefore, cats got chased by teenage boy.

What happened to her? She didn't know what happened to her! All she had been doing was walking home when bam! She'd been turned into a kitten.
"I don't know Xavier! It happened so fast... I was just walk and then suddenly I was... like this," she said as she tried to explain her situation to him. She was about to explain further about everything that had happened to her on her way home but she had been quickly interrupted by Tempo sniffing at her and then almost immediately following that: picking her up by the scruff of her new kitten neck.
"Aaa-aaah! Xa-aaah," she tried to call to him but the words didn't quick come out as she was carried off by the real cat.
