Freya just stared at her computer. She couldn't see her friend's face, but she could read it in every word he said. Finally, she flipped her computer off of her lap, stormed out of her room without even so much as closing her door, and headed up the stairs with some very loud footsteps.
She rose her fist as soon as she got to Lark's door, and banged on it repeatedly as if she was trying to break it down. Sure, it was the middle of the night - did she care? NOT ONE BIT.
This had to stop, NOW.

Lark scowled at her door. This was not a good time.
Not a good time at all.
She set the laptop aside and crawled out of her bed before stalking to the door and throwing it open.

In front of Lark stood a violently angry valkyrie. Every one of her feathers fluffed, she looked like an owl trying to scare off a predator.
And she felt like it, too.
"THE ******** ARE YEH THINKINGS, LARK?" She screamed, stamping her foot. "Yehr supposed teh be his best friends, and all yehr doings is hurtings him! Yeh gets mad at ME because yeh thinks I'm hurtings him? YEHR THE ONLY ONE HURTINGS HIM NOW! WHAT KIND OF BEST FRIEND DO YEH THINKS YEH ARE!"

This was ********. Insane.
The b***h was screaming at her door in the wee hours.
Questioning Lark's friendship and loyalty to Kettil. Again.
Lark did the only thing she could think of. She wound up, cocked back, and blindly sent her fist flying right into Freya's face.

Freya waited for the screams. The attitude. The anger. Maybe even a wrestling match to prove which one-
BANG.
Freya flew back, stumbling into the wall behind her as the world went black and all she saw for a moment was stars.
Did.. did this b***h just.. punch her in the face?!
HER FACE!???
HER BEAUTIFUL FACE?!?!?
Freya shook her head, her hand raising to cover the shiner that was slowly swelling up and forming.

Lark slammed the door so hard that a few pictures that were hanging on her wall fell to the floor, the glass shattering into a million pieces.

Freya couldn't tell if she'd been unconscious for a minute, but when she finally saw straight, she was staring at a closed door, and she could feel the pain in her eye. She pushed herself up, rested her hand on her eye and winced at the pain, then walked back to her dorm to check out the damage.
What in the hell had that even accomplished?! Other than giving Lark something to get her frustrations out on.. maybe she'd lay off Kettil, now.
Freya hoped so. Otherwise, her beautiful face had just been ruined in vain.
From now on, she was sticking to HIM chats.
