Luthias glided over the misty woods, bearing a golden chest. Oh how it sparkled and glittered, he could not resist, his talons held the chest close to his body. He had quite the struggle lifting it off the beach he had dug it from, now the weight was truly bearing on him in flight. Luthias was cursing himself, he knew it would be to heavy to haul, but if he could just make it to his stash cave he could rest. Putting it down before he reached the cave was not an option, he could not leave such a glorious find out in the open unprotected.
No he convinced himself he would not let it go until it rested in a safe place, and he would not rest until he found such a place. But his body disagreed, it began to ache, he was loosing grip, the chest found its way hanging from the tips of his talons, ready to slip.
Panic washed over Luthias, he beat his wings harder, put all the energy his body could muster into holding on to the chest. He was loosing altitude, the extra weight pulling him down. The treasure finally gave way, slipping from his glossy claws. The sudden loss in weight threw Luthias off balance, and in his panic to retrieve the item, he dove into the fast approaching woods. Reaching out he grasped the handle on the chest once again, but continued to fall with it, tumbling through trees, ripping his wings. The chest crashed to the ground, and Luthias on top of it, cracking his head. Luthias did his best to cling to his treasure before he lost consciousness.

Chatella walked carefully as she stepped over some fallen tree branches on her path. With each step she took she had to be careful not injure herself, since if someone needed help she had to be able to get to them as quickly as possible. Though no one had needed help in what seemed like months, though nonetheless she refused to give up hope. Someone out there just had to need help and she would surely answer their call as soon as they let out a single cry. Or even before that single cry rang out among the deep lush forest she was walking in.
With that thought in her mind she quickly overcame all of the branches that had fallen and pranced happily but alert down the trail before her. While she was walking she just happened to her some wings beating in the sky above her. As she looked towards the sky above her she just happened to noticed her assistant Midnight flying over head. He looked as if he was exhausted from flying here to where she was. "Is something wrong," she asked him as she came to a slow stop. "Up ahead! I saw a male with wings fall from the sky! I think he needs help," he said though words only Chatella could understand. With that he darted off in the northern direction and didn't waste anytime waiting for Chatella to follow behind him."Oh noes, I have to hurry," she thought quietly to herself as she dashed forward with as much speed as she had inside her. She was keeping up with Midnight as best she could as she ran below his figure in the sky carrying her medical case. She figured with her current speed she should reach him in just a couple of minutes, though in her mind she knew that even a couple of minutes could be to long depending on the situation at hand.

The earth rumbled below him, he was aware of the hooves thundering towards him. Luthias still felt weak from his fall, but he managed to find his legs below him. He staggered to stand up and made his way cautiously to the golden chest. Griping the chest with his talons he readied his wings for flight, he could now hear someone approaching. Luthias was desperate to escape and outstretched his wings, pain rippled through him, he snapped his wings back at his side and winced at the pain. He stood there for a moment in the cool air, feeling nothing but the wetness of the blood on his wings and back and the ringing pain reverberating through his head and body. With the pain so strong, Luthias could not hold control over his body and he once again collapsed over the chest.

Chatella ran until she saw the winged creature right before her eyes. "What on earth," she whispered as she ran beside him and knelt onto her knees. At this point she didn't even notice what he had been protecting, since at that moment all she cared about was this winged males being. "I just want you to know I'm Chatella and I'm here to help," she said with a kindhearted smile as she took her left front hoof and began to gently run it over the feathers wet from the creatures own blood. As she felt them very carefully and as gently as possible. She began to think just what she needed to do in order to help him. Thousands of possibilities ran through her mind, though each one was narrowed down to one only possible option very quickly. Her mind worked so fast when it came to how to treat a patient. When she thought she had thought for a couple of minutes, in reality it was only one. Soon as she figured out what was wrong she quickly checked the patients pulse and breathing with her right hoof. They still had a strong pulse from what she could see no irregular heart beat and their breathing appeared to be stable considering what they had just gone through.
As soon as she figured out what she was going to treat him with. She gave a quick whistle, within seconds her assistant midnight was by her side and opening the case that contained her supplies. From within the supplies she pulled out a very small needle it was full of something a tribe she had ran into before called pain go away, it was actually a type of numbing syrup. So she quickly and gently whispered, "Do you mind if I poke you with something to help the pain?" with those words she awaited an answer to see if the stallion was conciseness, if he didn't answer in less than a minute she was just going to p***k him with the small needle full of medical herbs and water. Even though she hated to make anyone go through the tiny pain of a needle, since even she wasn't fan of them. Also she hated working this fast, though injuries weren't just going to freeze in time so she could go slow.

His eyes clenched shut, Luthias was hardly aware the mare was standing over him. The blow to his skull made his ears ring and his head pulse. He felt someone touch him and twitched his ears with alertness. He had to focus on what was going on around him, he pulled himself from the pain and opened his golden eyes to see the mare. Had his vision gone bad? For a moment he thought all he could see was red, but then realized it was her hair. Several feet of red hair draped from her head and neck, partially covering her face. Then he noticed the red cross and nurse hat. He felt himself relax for a moment, "help with the pain?" the words finally sank into his throbbing skull. She wanted to help, but she was staring at him, why was she just staring at him? He quickly grew frustrated,"Well what the heck are you waiting for?" he snapped, "Numb it already, that p***k can't be as painful as this gash in my head!" As soon as the words left his mouth he realized he should be more grateful, but at the moment his pain and his pride held him from apologizing.
