Beautiful Moon, with thy silvery light, Thou seemest most charming to my sight; As I gaze upon thee in the sky so high, A tear of joy does moisten mine eye.

"Moonlight" A silvery-blue light glows within the bottle.
The proper English name for Earth's natural satellite is, simply, the Moon (capitalized). Moon is a Germanic word, related to the Latin mensis (month). It is ultimately a derivative of the Proto-Indo-European root me-, also represented in measure (time), with reminders of its importance in measuring time in words derived from it like Monday, month and menstrual. The related adjective is lunar, as well as an adjectival prefix seleno- and suffix -selene (from selēnē, σελήνη, the Ancient Greek word for the Moon). In English, the word moon exclusively meant "the Moon" until 1665, when it was extended to refer to the recently discovered natural satellites of other planets. Subsequently, these objects were given distinct names in order to avoid confusion. The Moon is occasionally referred to by its Latin name Luna, primarily in science fiction.
The Moon has an external magnetic field of the order of one to a hundred nanotesla—less than one hundredth that of the Earth, which is 30–60 microtesla. Other major differences are that the Moon does not currently have a dipolar magnetic field (as would be generated by a geodynamo in its core), and the magnetizations that are present are almost entirely crustal in origin. One hypothesis holds that the crustal magnetizations were acquired early in lunar history when a geodynamo was still operating. The small size of the lunar core, however, is a potential obstacle to this theory. Alternatively, it is possible that on an airless body such as the Moon, transient magnetic fields could be generated during large impact events. In support of this, it has been noted that the largest crustal magnetizations appear to be located near the antipodes of the giant impact basins. It has been proposed that such a phenomenon could result from the free expansion of an impact generated plasma cloud around the Moon in the presence of an ambient magnetic field.
Most of the tide effects seen on the Earth are caused by the Moon's gravitational pull, with the Sun making a somewhat smaller contribution. Tidal drag slows the Earth's rotation by about 0.002 seconds per day per century. As a result of the conservation of angular momentum, the slowing of Earth's rotation is accompanied by an increase of the mean Earth-Moon distance of about 3.8 m per century, or 3.8 cm per year. The Moon is exceptionally large relative to the Earth, being a quarter the diameter of the planet and 1/81 its mass. However, the Earth and Moon are still commonly considered a planet-satellite system, rather than a double-planet system, since the common centre of mass of the system (the barycentre) is located about 1,700 km beneath the surface of the Earth, or about a quarter of the Earth's radius. The surface of the Moon is less than one-tenth that of the Earth, and only about a quarter the size of the Earth's land area (or about as large as Russia, Canada, and the U.S. combined).
The Moon has been the subject of many works of art and literature and the inspiration for countless others. It is a motif in the visual arts, the performing arts, poetry, prose and music. A 5000-year-old rock carving at Knowth, Ireland may represent the Moon, which would be the earliest depiction discovered. In many prehistoric and ancient cultures, the Moon was thought to be a deity or other supernatural phenomenon, and astrological views of the Moon continue to be propagated today.

Name: Lelia Gender: Female Dust: Moonlight Color: N/A Skin Tone: A strange, otherworldly pale blue, decorated with what appear to be craters speckled across the darker areas of her skin. Her elbows, shoulders, and various other places on her body are considerably darker than the rest of her skin, including her cheeks and around her eyes. Despite how rough the marks on her skin look, she is silky smooth to the touch. Eye Color: Her irises are a lovely silver-gray with the palest of pupils. She almost appears to have a case of cataracts, but her vision is not impaired in the least. Her sclera is pitch black, and paired with her irises, her eyes give off the impression of a full moon against the night's sky. Hair Color: Silvery blue, darkening into blue at the tips. Hair Length: As a child, her hair is a neat yet fluffy bob; it's length reaching just to her cheekbones. Growing older, the back portion of her hair begins to grow. Hair Style: No matter what age she is at, her classic bob is there and as short as ever. When the back portion of her hair grows, however, it is kept floating in front of her shoulders, seemingly suspended by itself. The older she gets, the longer this hair gets and the darker the tips become. Build: Lelia is a healthy build; soft curves and a decently sized waist, but she isn't the thinnest of children. Growing into her size, she is a curvy young woman with an hourglass figure. Distinguishing Marks: Around her joints and other seemingly flushed areas, the skin is a few shades darker than the rest and speckled with crater-like freckles of a much lighter shade than even her primary skin tone.
Clothing: With a love for the simple, she more often than not wears light or pale colored sun dresses, especially as a child. In her younger stages, she dislikes long dresses that constrict movement and refuses to wear shoes; even as a teenager. As an adult, she begins to wear fancier, well-fitted dresses with intricate details and flowing sleeves. While she still doesn't like wearing shoes, she will often wear long-laced sandals that reach up to her knee. Accessories: Preferring simple things as a child, Lelia likes small bracelets and necklaces, but doesn't like wearing anything too fancy or distracting. Growing, she becomes more and more fond of decorative accessories and begins wearing them quite a bit more often, usually to the point where she collects them. Once an adult, she prefers more tasteful amounts of jewelry, but still wears quite a bit. Throughout all stages, she prefers silver chains with white or blue gems.
Personality: While she tries to be a lady, Lelia can be a bit of a spoiled princess and doesn’t like to be told what to or what not to do. If her mind is fixated on something she’s most likely going to do it anyway. When someone pushes her away or comes off as rude, her regal side can sometimes get pushy. Despite this, she does her best to come off as friendly as possible and generally always tries to befriend people. If you’re her friend, Lelia does whatever she can to help if need be, whether it is an emotional or physical problem. She has a bit of a green thumb and an affinity for plants and gardening. Animals and people also have a soft spot in her heart.
Other: **As she grows older, as in Teen and higher, she begins to develop a motherly disposition towards most of the other Dusts. She feels the need to protect them from harm and wants to soothe any harbored feelings.
Likes: Full moons, night time, plants/gardening Dislikes: New moons, bright lights, extreme heat Skills: Lelia is not a fighter, and instead hones her skills in healing and buffing. Her own skills affect her more than other Dusts until she becomes adjusted and practiced in her abilities. When helping others, she is able to either increase or decrease the effectiveness of the other's abilities.
Keywords: Doting, spiteful, friendly, spoiled **This is tentative and largely depends on how development through RP and solos go

NAME: Henry Knight GENDER: Male AGE: 24 RACE: Human OCCUPATION: Therapist's assistant RESIDENCE: Aimes LIKES: Children, volunteering, baseball DISLIKES: Cruelty, reptiles, smoking COLOR: seagreen
APPEARANCE: Shapely and set with emerald-green eyes, Henry’s face is framed by lovely dark brown, well kempt hair, cut semi-short and choppy accompanied by his tidy soul-patch. He is tall and athletically built, but generally tends to hide his body with slightly loose and appropriate clothing. Henry’s Sun-kissed skin is a result from being outside during his free time. Overall, his appearance is rather simple and he likes to keep it this way.
PERSONALITY: Henry is fun loving and always eager to help, children and animals being his weak points. He would do anything he could to make other comfortable and content. He loves to be in the sun and play, whether it be sports or otherwise. Henry is very together, keeping a neat appearance and a clean home. A bit clueless in the ways of flirting, he isn’t much of a lady’s man and doesn’t necessarily know how to “pick up chicks.” Either way, if he isn’t busy at work he’s outside exercising or playing, so for the most part he doesn’t even notice. Still, he wants to have children one day and is a bit worried about ever finding a wife while in his “prime.”
HISTORY: Henry grew up in a normal family setting; parents still together and one sibling. The family moved to Aimes after he had turned twelve, in search of a bigger house and a lovely area for his younger siblings to grow up in. His love for nursing and helping others sparked when he was young; after his brother got ill, he did whatever he possibly could to help him. Baseball became a favorite sport of his once they had moved, resulting in him spending a lot of time outside. Being with other people became easy for him and he enjoyed all types of social gatherings. Henry never had much luck with women. His first relationship was at the age of eighteen and only lasted a few months. Realizing that he himself wanted children one day, at the age of nineteen, he began volunteering at the local children's hospital. He began taking courses for nursing and psychology not long after graduating high school. As soon as he graduated college at his current age, he acquired a job as a therapist's assistant. His mother and father still live in Aimes, on the farther side, but his brother left home to live his own life. Their parents were worried, but Henry understood the need to get out and agreed with his decision. Both sons visit their parents regularly.
MISCELLANEOUS: Wants children one day, but because of his job, he's never had time for any real relationships. He also hates his family name.

Snoof, having a Werewolf Dust, inspired my wanting a Moon-related Dust. I was shocked to find out that there hadn't been anyone attempting to quest something like this, so I jumped at the opportunity. Also, the Moon has different effects for different things, and seeing how others would react, or be affected by her, would be very fun and interesting.
The Moon has always been a favorite of mine. Being more of a night person, it's always been a want of mine to just sit and Moon-gaze. The Moon has always been a good inspiration for art and characters, despite the lack of imagination for some creators.
