What an interesting few days it had been. Lamashtu had his first fight, proceeded to be scolded by Imnir about it, and then have another fight in which he managed to redeem himself. He felt proud that he'd done such a thing, and even better because he knew the extra money took a lot of strain off of Naomi, but he did have the slightest feeling of guilt about his last fight. The female he had beaten, she seemed so afraid of her owner. It didn't seem right. Mokai and humans should get along, right?
"I wonder what her name was." Lamashtu wondered aloud as he wandered outside his stall, currently not far from it. It was a privilege he had only recently earned, being allowed to wander a short ways without being supervised by Naomi or Imnir. He supposed that the fact that he'd come to the settlement willingly and never made any attempt to escape. He loved his life here, and Naomi could probably tell.
Lamashtu eventually settled on a patch of soft grass not too far from where his stall was, off the side of the dirt path. As much as he liked living here, being cooped up in that stall all the time was stuffy and uncomfortable sometimes. Right now he just wanted to lay in the sun and think about everything that had happened recently.

Seven had gone into stalker mode. Just a few days ago, she had heard from somewhere that Imnir's human had managed to get herself another Mokai. Ever since then, she had been on her guard, doing her best to figure out who and what this new addition was. Through a series of well-placed inquiries, she had found out two things: the Mokai was a male fighter, and he had a splotchy coat with a short tail.
And now, oh-ho, now... now she had seen him. Brilliant. From afar, she followed the other Mokai, eager to see if he would settle down somewhere provide her with an opportunity to get closer. The chance came when she saw him sit himself down on a patch of grass - this was the opportune moment. Coming out of hiding, the russet Mokai slunk closer.
She was fairly certain of what she would do upon meeting him - honestly, it was what she would do with any male Mokai - except that today, there was a slight ulterior motive behind approaching the other fighter: piss Imnir off. She supposed that she should feel somewhat guilty for using this new Mokai as a means to exact her revenge-- who was she kidding. Guilt? As if. Abandoning the thought, she padded over nonchalantly, bushy tail swinging as she walked right across his path of vision and pretended not to see him.

Lamashtu dug his claws into the soft earth and let out a content sigh, his short tail wagging. Having earned Naomi's trust enough to be allowed some freedom was just lovely. Having spent two weeks being either confined in his stall or babysat by Imnir, he could see why some of the other mokai disliked this life, but if they just gave it a real chance and showed their humans love and loyalty, they could have all this!
At least, that's what Lamashtu assumed. He was, after all, quite naive in regard to how certain humans treated their mokai. Regardless of that, he was living the good life, and wasn't planning on leaving.
His ears perked forward as he noticed another fighter going past, the slightest hint of recognition prodded him in the back of his mind, but it was so faint and obscure he had absolutely no idea what it could be. In truth, it was the fact that little Dela had markings that matched this female's coat perfectly, but there was no way he could place that unless he saw them together.
"Hello there!" He called, giving a smile as she passed, "Where are you going?"

Oh. Oh, ho. Perfect. For a second, she kept right on flouncing forward as if she hadn't heard, or hadn't realized he had been calling her. Then a look of surprise came across her face and her ears popped forward as she spun around to face him.
"Oh, hello," she said, look of surprise melting into an inviting smile. "Well, I was just on my way back to my stall, but," she shook her head. "No matter, I suppose."
She altered her course to make a beeline straight for the male, eyes already taking in every inch of him for future reference. She stepped onto the same piece of grass, taking advantage of its small size to settle herself down - a little too close for a regular acquaintance with regular intentions - beside him.
"And you? You look... pensive."

"Oh, don't let me keep you if you want to go." He looked a little embarrassed, but she didn't seem to mind much. At least now he'd have someone to talk to.
"Pensive..." He repeated, thinking about it for a minute. It was a good word. "A little bit, but I'm mostly just resting. Tired." He rolled his shoulders, "I'm a bit sore from my last fight, but it isn't bad." Especially not when compared to the brawls that he'd seen back when he was living in the wild. He counted himself lucky to have never been on the receiving end of any of those brutal impacts. No, this was much better than anything he would have gotten had he stayed.
"My name is Lamashtu." He offered, trying not to look uncomfortable with how close the female was. He wouldn't mind if it was a mokai he knew, or if it wasn't a female who was so... Attractive. He still didn't really know how to handle himself around beautiful girls. "What is your name?"

"Ohh, it's not important," she said with a shrug and a well-timed smile that seemed to suggest that he was. Which, at the moment, was the truth. She had been stalking him (somewhat creepily, if she had to pause and think about it... but of course, she didn't pause to think about it) for a reason, after all. It was a shame that he was being so nice about it; she would enjoyed a bit of a challenge.
"Ah, a fight?" She echoed, holding her sudden eagerness back from her face. Best not to give away too much, or make it too obvious that she was going to dig for information. "Did you win, then?" She cast her gaze once over him. He didn't look all too beat up. If he had won, that was a definite plus, and if he hadn't... well, that probably meant he was smart enough to avoid taking some hard hits.
She paused a moment at his inquiry, wondering if it would be wise to answer. He knew Imnir after all, and most likely Eight. If he recognized her name, there might be trouble. The russet Mokai shot Lamashtu a glance. "Oh, we'll get to that," she said, brushing her tail toward him.
