With the weather being fairly warm outside, Tsetsiliya felt confident that today was the day. She'd been eager to do a little more than walking for a while, and what with a meeting time still being set up for the Track Team, she decided to take things into her own hands. Granted, it was quite a challenge to find something in her closet that didn't fall into the range of her formal poludnica wear, the scattered ballgown or prom dress, or the odd ensembles her mother liked to put together - none of which were very suitable for a nice run skirting the forest. It took some picking through, but she finally found an airy skirt, lighter boots, and a blouse, which was the best she could do under these circumstances (good Jack, did she ever need a trip to the maul).

Clothing dawned, she cinched an orange sash around her waist (out of habit) and put on her heirloom chain belt (also out of habit), then hesitated momentarily. The basket that normally carried obtained plant samples sat on the table by the door, and when her gaze strayed towards it, she picked that up as well and headed out. If she were going to skirt the property, then why not bring something back for her troubles?

Tsetsiliya descended the front steps of the demon dorms and took a deep breath. The air was crisp as always, but not too cold today. With a satisfied smile, she started jogging down the path. Oh Jack, it felt good to run again!

Sparrow, in fact, was also running, though for an entirely different reason than the poludnica that was preparing for the Track Team.

He had felt too cooped up inside of his own room; the air had become stale, and he had become too jittery to stand it for much longer. The sleeping had not become easier; in fact, if anything, he had started sleeping worse, if that were even possible - or just not at all. Mostly, however, his dreams were plagued by nightmarish scenes of fire; always fire, though sometimes there were other things thrown in as well, unpleasant, horrifying things.

Sparrow hated this - and himself, for not being able to overcome it. Plenty of the other students had died more times than he had - some had even been burned twice, as he had heard, with this being the second time. And a good many of them seemed to be back to normal.

Well. As normal as normal could be around here. Jack knew Roch, of all people was acting as he ever did - namely as a colossal idiot.

He decided, quite on a whim, to go running.

Sparrow had not run for quite some time. He had done it a bit before coming to school, and a few times while at school as well, but for the most part he had rather forgotten about it.

Now seemed an excellent time to remember it.

Dressed in a pair of track pants, a teeshirt, and a loose jacket thrown atop - extraordinarily uncommon clothes for Sparrow to wear, and he felt absurdly out of place in them - he pulled back his hair away from his face and took to the grounds of Amityville.

It was warmer than normal, which was good - still a bit chilly, but not nearly as freezing as it had been as it had been; a fact that Sparrow appreciated as he jogged along the path that wound around the school. His eyes were not in front of him, but instead looking sideways, looking around at the scenery.

Which turned out to be a not-so-good idea, considering not five minutes into his run Sparrow collided with someone else. A few seconds later he found himself entangled on the ground with a complete stranger.

"Oh!" he gasped, completely horrified as he attempted to move away, pushing his fringe of hair out of his eyes. "Oh, forgive me, I'm so terribly sorry - "

Never stop paying attention to your surroundings. That was a lesson that Tsetsiliya normally adhered to, and it saved her on more than one occasion. Confusing situations, such as balls or parties, tended to make her lose focus and end up on the floor at one point or another during the evening. However, there was no reason for her mind to have drifted on this particular run, other than from pure enjoyment at moving so fast along the path.

Of course, this meant she didn't see the reaper boil heading towards her from an adjacent path, and of course, this also meant that the collision was completely out of nowhere.

The ghoul cried out in surprise and was knocked sideways, the weight of the boil coming down on top of her. More confusion followed as she tried to disengage herself from him at the same time he was. "I-It is fine -- it -- agh --" Her skirt and sash had bunched up a little higher than her comfort zone extended and she scrambled to push those back down before the other boil could see. "I-I was not paying attention very much!" A quick once-over on herself with her hands, everything in one piece. Her eyes moved over to the boil with a soft frown. "A-Are you alright? I am hoping you are not hurt." It was quite a fall the two had taken, after all. A couple bruises from the sudden collision, maybe, but nothing worth noting otherwise. In the scramble she had lost track of her basket, but that was not the important thing. The boil seemed to be dressed for a run himself.. more appropriately than her, anyway.

Sparrow, thankfully, had not seen anything more of the ghoul than she wanted him too, instead focusing on just getting himself free from the rather unexpected and embarrassing collision. Finally, after several moments of struggling on both sides, they managed to get up, the ghoul looking red-faced and nervous, Sparrow breathing heavily as he pushed his mussed hair away from his forehead.

"I'm fine," he told her, shaking his head. "No, don't worry about me, I'm fine."

It was mostly true. There were probably a few bruises beginning to form on his legs and he'd managed to hit his funny bone on the ground, which meant he had that awkward, unpleasant tingling sensation reverberating all the way up and down his arm, but other than that he was perfectly fine.

"I'm sorry," said Sparrow. "I wasn't, er...paying attention..."

His eyes drifted sideways, landing on a slightly smushed basket that was lying a few feet away. Hastily Sparrow stepped over to it, picking it up and dusting it off, trying to smooth it back out before he held it out to her.

"Is this yours, then?"

"I-It is fine!" Tsetsiliya stammered as she climbed to her feet, totally red in the face and totally embarrassed. "I-I should also have been more mindful.." Her attention had been wandering, after all. As the boil moved away momentarily, she checked herself over one more time and straightened out her skirt and hooded vest. The hood was restored and she felt a little more comfortable now. Suddenly the boil presented her with her missing basket, although.. a bit out of shape.

"Y-yes," she replied, taking the basket between both of her own. A little smashed in some parts but otherwise fine. "Thank you, er.." She hustled to tuck the basket around her arm and offer a free hand to the boil. "I am Tsetsiliya.. er, Tset, if it is being easier for you." Apply customary blush at her name being terribly long and difficult here. "You are also out for a run, I am taking.. ?" She glanced once again at his clothing, and was reminded of the sharp need to get over her paranoia about her toothpick legs and get some proper running clothes.

"No, no, you're fine - " said Sparrow, a little helplessly, waving his arms. "It's really fine, you don't need to worry about it. It wasn't your fault."

The ghoul was rather short, with spun gold hair and a pale, anxious face that was looking at him with a worried, embarrassed expression as though she expected him to be more angry than he actually was. Giving her a small, sheepish sort of smile, Sparrow handed over her...slightly squashed basket, stepping back and giving her space.

"Ah, a pleasure, Tset!" he replied warmly, and extended his hand again, this time as an offer to shake hers. "My name is Sparrow Heartreed; I'm afraid I'm rather...er, unknown in the school - I don't get out much, sadly - so it is quite nice to meet someone new for a change."

He gave her a smile, and then tilted his head, beaming expectantly.
