Since they were in the same dorm it wasn't hard for Chuppi to find the location to the basement (getting down the stairs had been sort of tricky) and she soon found herself at Calder's door. His message on Groanspring really did make her think it would be okay to be here, and the monster held close the small pillow she'd brought with her to sleep on. Cautiously she knocked at the door, knowing it had been a good while since they'd seen one another.
Sure they had met up at the whole sewing class thing, but since then Chuppi had moved on to year two and had...maybe changed? Not really, but she had been trying to lose a bit more weight. Curves were curves though and wouldn't be gone any time soon.
"Calder? Es Chuppi."

Calder opened the door, smiling at her. "Hi Chuppi. Glad you found the place alright." It wasn't exactly hard. A lot of the doors were rather unique, fit for different sizes, replaced many times from past and current destructive students, but most in the basement level were water tight.
Opening the door, Calder gestured for her to come inside. "Uh, don't mind the place. I'm still cleaning things up a bit." After he had trashed his own room, he had to go replacing a shelf. his bathtub bed was broken, but he managed to work some glue (as much as he hated the stuff and checked over and over to make sure it wasn't made from horses) and put back together the puzzle pieces of porcelain into a complete tub again...if not a very leaky one. A pile of books were shoved against the wall while pieces of the broken shelf were piled up in a corner.
A few leeches were coming out to say hello. "Just make yourself at home. Haven't seen you in a while." As he said this, he was looking her over. "You've....really filled out."

The monster nodded towards her fellow monster and waddled into the room, being super careful to watch her step as she came in. It looked as though there might have been an accident or two and she felt her brows crease in worry - was it really okay for her to be here? She'd been invited in though so it shouldn't be wrong but the state of everything had her questioning it. She would have stayed on such thoughts if it weren't for Calder stating something. "Filled out? What...do you mean?"
She really, really hoped he wasn't calling her fat or something, because that would just end her world. If one of her friends was calling her fat even though she'd been doing her best to lose weight then she wouldn't know what to do...but Chuppi didn't think Calder was the malicious type to just say something like that. Maybe it was his way of saying she'd grown a little, even though her height had remained the same? "Um...thank...you? You have filled out...too?"

Calder shut the door and then looked at himself. "Really? I feel a bit the same. Maybe taller, and my hair is changing, but I'm trying to get stronger." Maybe his muscles were coming in? That would be great!
"And by filling out, you are starting to get a little taller I think. Certainly got more up top." He pointed to her chest, not at all subtle about it, and then tapped his hip against her hip. "...and here. If you were my mom's ghoul, she's be fussy all over you. Said you're spring up like a thistle."
He moved a few broken bored aside and sat down. "Sorry. I had chairs but ...well, they broke." He didn't say that he was the one that broke them. "So what's up?"

"I don't think I have changed much other than maybe losing weight? I had gained too much to begin....oh." Calder's motions more than enough gave away what he was thinking and the little monster's face turned red either with embarrassment over being poked and bumped or with pride from the compliment. Compliments over her looking good were something very new, most people just told her she looked cute or adorable, so saying that she was growing up was much appreciated. "Doesn't su madre fuss over you as her nino? Or do you have siblings too?" Chuppi's mother had recently written that another litter had joined the family and by now she'd lost count of how many she was older than.
At the mention of chairs Chuppi figured it may or may not be okay to speak, and she dared to ask questions. Lately she was trying to get braver, or at least pretend to be braver, so she looked around at anything. "What happened to your room? did someone come in and try to hurt you?" Well, Calder didn't look hurt and had said nothing of the sort on his groanspring, but. . . . worries, none the less.

"Ah, well, my parents tried but....they didn't have any luck after me. I'm an only child." His parents had wanted a bigger family, but their visits to the pumpkin patch hadn't been successful. They eventually decided that it was best to just be happy with what they were given. "..but my parents fuss over me. I think they would have liked a little ghoul though." He smiled at the thought. His clan valued big families that only children usually had at least half-siblings by different parents. His parents had been peculiar in that they had stayed together all these years and did not expand into either one of them having a harem. For that, Calder sometimes felt very lucky and other times felt sad.
As for the room, he only blushed a bit. "I....lost my tempter a bit. The only one who hurt me was my friend to calm me down. It's nothing." He smiled back at her, dodging the issue. "You're dress is very pretty. Is it bought or did you get a friend to make it?"

"I am not the youngest nor oldest, and not only child. Mi madre keeps having childrens, I have lost count. She was always unhappy with me so I was sent here.. . . .but I will not go on about that. Instead I am just glad for the school, and am glad you're okay now." It was easy enough to just skip through awkward questions and move along, and thankfully Calder seemed curious enough about her new state of dress that a topic had been opened up to her without too much effort needing to be involved. She smiled and looked down at the dress, one of her hands moving freely from her pillow to touch the fabric.
"A gnome gave it to me actually." Chuppi remembered when the gnomes just showed up and handed her the dress, talking about curves and everything else in the process. They'd been....friendly enough, if not creepy, and the Chupacabra had always gotten along with them because of her small size. Taking clothes from them hardly seemed like a bad thing to do, she thought it might have been rude to do anything else, and so that was the story of her dress. "All of my other clothing has been ruined so I really only have...maybe three clothes? Outfits is the word I think I mean to use."

"Gnomes GAVE you a dress." He huffed, looking sideways in thought. "They never gave me anything." WTF was that about? Wasn't he pretty enough, or did they not have anything in his size. He would have been angrier at that when Chuppi admitted she barely had any clothes.
"THREE OUTFITS?!! You can't live with just THREE outfits." He was gasping, looking her over. "Did the gnomes give you anything more? Didn't you go shopping for more? Don't you know any ghouls who can sew something for you? You can't rotate three outfits. That's just impossible." He looked around, opening one chest and looking into a mound of clothes. "Ohh. Nothing I have will fit you." He closed the chest, looking her over in concern.

Chuppi wilted at Calder's unhappiness of her getting a dress, and her quills seemed to shrink against her back. Should she have not said anything? Maybe it would have been best if she had just. . . .well, kept her mouth shut. Still she tried to explain because that was what she did best and it was "I think...they gave it to me because I am small? Also I let them help dress me because I did not know how to put on the dress. They are nice people to me." There had probably been many, many hidden agendas with that gnome helping dress her, but Chuppi was naive enough to think that not everyone had something up their sleeve. She liked to believe that most of the time people just wanted to be friendly....and she liked friendly.
And then at Calder's apparent rage(?) over her not having clothing her quills stoof right back up and her eyes widened. She hadn't meant to make him unhappy and then upset all with one sentence, though she carried on like a trooper. She would not lose in this conversation. "I...no, they gave me nothing more. I did not ask for more, should have I? Er...should I have?"
