Jigue sat in the middle of the park field, picking absently at a blade of grass. His violin, safely tucked away in its case, sat at his side, his pale-striped tail curled lightly around it for protection. He may have been blind, but he wasn't stupid! His ears twitched to the blowing wind to detect any prescence nearby, and he sighed lightly. He wondered what it looked like...

Jiki sat in his tree, watching Jigue from above. His foot and tail dangled down from the branch, back propped against the canopy's trunk comfortably. Jigue always looked so solemn, yet whenever he tried to speak with him, he was always shunned. He shrugged lightly, although it continued to bug him.

(( I'll think of a title later. Throw whoever you want in here! ^^ I know, I know, it was short and a pretty crappy introduction. I'll try to work on that. ))

((xD Tis okies Mooger!))

Marlon was rolling his eyes as his curly haired companion was talking about... something. He wasn't really paying attention. When it came to Raine, he rarely listened. But the lavender-eared bunny somehow put up with the other rabbit. Somehow.

Raine was bubbling on about how nice the weather was. He steered Marlon into the park. The park was his favorite place to go. Especially now, the weather was so lovely! And perfect for his favorite wardrobe of hotpants and a black, sleeveless cropped shirt.

Jiki jumped at the sound of others, noticing two bunny-anthros come into the picture. He immediately spotted one of them as being Raine, a friend he had made a long time ago, but had never seen Marlon before. He wondered if the rabbit would remember him as well? He hopped from his perch on the tree branch, shards of static electricity seeming to fly off of him as he landed. He grumbled as he remembered his magnetic powers, and hoped it wouldn't ruin anything like it seemed to do so many times before.

He came up cautiously to the two bunnies as to not scare them, speaking softly but loud enough for them to hear him. "Hey! Beautiful day out today, isn't it?" he called, waving to the two of them. As like Raine, Jiki, too, enjoyed the outdoors and spent most of his awake-time basking in it if the weather permitted.

Jigue flinched, turning his head toward the sound of the three other anthros in reaction, although he couldn't see them. He knew that Jiki was about, for they came out somewhat together, but he didn't hear the other two come up. Perhaps it is because they aren't very near, he concluded as he heard their pillow-faint footsteps. He turned back away, fiddling again with the grass blade in his hands. He was never one to "intermingle" with others unless it just... happened.

(( In other words, Jigue will talk if someone talks to him. xd ))

((x3 Antisocialist!!))

Marlon wasn't quite expecting to pulled out of his thoughts so suddenly. He squeaked in surprise when Jiki came up to him and Raine. "Whoa! Umm... Yeah, I guess. Where'd you come from??" he asked, blinking as he tried to get his heartrate back to normal.

On the other hand, Raine smiled widely when the fox anthro talked to them. "Hey! I know you! You're... You're... Uhhh..." The curly haired bunny paused, thinking for a second. "Jiki? Is that it?" he asked, giving a small embarassed smile.

But as he had been thinking, Raine had noticed a cat anthro sitting off kind of in the distance. And, being the friendly guy he was, Raine wanted to meet someone else. Another potential friend!

(( Exactly!

Hehe! Jiki made teh Marlon squeak! XD ))

Jiki blinked a few times before smiling, amused with Marlon's reaction. "I came from just over yonder, in that tree over there," he answered, prodding a thumb over his shoulder to indicate the maple tree. Turning back to Raine, he answered, "Yep, I'm Jiki! It's really nice to see you again, Raine." He smiled, nodding as he watched him head for Jigue. Good. At least then maybe he can make some friends... he thought, hoping.

He turned back to Marlon and held out his hand to him. "And how about you? What's your name?" he asked, hoping to make another friend himself.

Jigue lifted his head slowly from his hand as he heard Raine coming near him. He dropped the grass blade and maneuvered his hand to the violin case at his side. He never knew why he did this, for he knew nobody would try to take it, but he always did. Maybe it was a sense of security? His tail unwrapped around himself and started waving it about lazily, awaiting Raine to make the first move of introduction as he maintained his silence.

((Guess Raine will just have to prod him, hm? xD

Yep!! Hehe!!))

Marlon's ear twitched once he had gotten himself under control. He did NOT just squeak, did he? DANG IT! he reprimended himself. "Hey, I'm Marlon." he introduced as he took Jiki's hand. "So, you know Raine? How?" he inquired. He might as well make some small talk.

The light-oranged haired bunny waved back to Jiki, "I thought so! Nice to see ya again!" he called, hurrying to the lone cat-anthro. "Hello! I'm Raine!" he said, smiling widely as he crouched beside Jigue.

(( Yesh, much proddage. He'll eventually warm up to him if Raine keeps it up, then he'll be talkative! ))

Jiki smiled as Marlon took his hand, shaking it in a friendly way. He nodded to Marlon's question and answered, "We met when he first came to the Agency. I was just out here, in that tree like I usually am, and he came out to relax. We talked a little, and I consider him my first friend," he shrugged, a little disappointed he couldn't remember what they had talked about. He brushed a loose lock of his bangs away from his face absently. "So, when did you come to the adoption center? I haven't seen you around," he asked, wondering how he and Raine had met themselves.

Jigue's ears twitched as Raine spoke, a slight smile spreading across his lips. He had only talked to one other anthro outside MoogerMint's apartment complex, and it had only been briefly. But his smile faded as he cringed, hoping not to be hurt like he had been in the past, as a child. He turned to where he had heard Raine's voice come from and saw a slight darkened blur in his limited eyesight. He tried to smile again, but it was a rather weak one. "My name's... Jigue," he said as he watched Raine's form come down to eye level. He was surprised that one of them would talk to him, as he was obviously not one of the more talkative types. Maybe he wouldn't be so bad?
PostPosted: Fri Feb 17, 2006 7:50 pm

((Oooh! TALK RAINE! Talk!! x3))

Marlon smiled a little. "Ah, I see. I've only visited the Angency once. And that was very briefly." he said, shrugging. "Either way, I have to deal with Raine 24/7." The lavender-eared bunny smiled a bit more at Jiki.

Raine's smile grew as Jigue smiled too. Even if it was a small one, it made Raine happy. "It's nice to meet you Jigue!! What are ya doing, sitting here all by yourself? You look awfully lonely!" he said. Rain fiddled with one of his ears as he spoke, not unusual for him.

(( YESH!!! *prods Raine with a stick* Make Jigue talk! ))

"Hmm..." Jiki mumbled in thought. Marlon seemed to be a little shy towards the fox beta, perhaps a little unsure. No matter; he had dealt with others in that situation before. Maybe he could even be able to consider the lavender bunny his friend soon as well! "I hope it wasn't a bad experience," Jiki said, about his visit to the Agency.

He cocked his head slightly at Marlon's mention of Raine. "Is he really that bad?" he asked, teasing a bit. It was understandable, though. Living with someone for an extended amount of time could get on one's nerves, though he hated to think of it happening. He grinned playfully, letting Marlon know he understood.

Jigue fidgeted slightly in place, a little unsure of himself. Raine seemed nice enough, very cheerful, but Jigue couldn't get over his uneasiness toward strangers. Well, at least it wasn't a group or anything...

He shook his head, trying without result to focus on the bunny's form. "I-It's nice to meet you, too," he said with a slight stutter. He clenched his mouth tightly for a few seconds, wondering why his cheerful demeanor made him slip on his words. He realized eventually that it was probably the fact he hadn't met anyone like him before, and continued to speak. "I'm not very lonely, no. I'm usually like this. I kinda like the peace and quiet..." he said, unsure of what to say at Raine's next comment. He looked lonely? Was he secretly wanting him to come over? He recounted his previous feelings and found it to be true. How strange... he thought as he turned back to Raine with his pale eyes.

((Sorry I didn't reply right away! I was pulled away to dinner! XP))

At Jiki's words, Marlon softened up. So the fox anthro wasn't that bad. "Naw, it wasn't bad. I just get annoyed with Raine quickly. That's all." he admitted, shrugging again. "But everyone else was very nice. I don't remember you there. I wish you had been though."

Raine wanted to talk more with Jigue, but the feline anthro just didn't seem to want to talk! Well, that's just going to have to change! he thought, smirking. "Now, now. Don't be scared of me! I just want to talk to ya! But you know, you really did look lonely. Peace and quiet is all good, but being with others is even better!"

(( It's all good, just as long as you tell me! ^.^ ))

Jiki's cheeks tinged faintly with the signs of a blush, scratching at his face with an index finger without thought. "Thank you," he managed to say, but he couldn't really make himself say anything further on the matter. Nobody had ever said that to him, and it made him feel like he had a purpose in this world, no matter how small, other than being the fox clan's beta. He grinned, adding, "Well, at least they were nice. I don't often get the chance to meet someone twice, as Raine's the first one. Maybe if you stay with him, we can also see each other again. That is, when we leave." It seemed to be a good omen, this day. Maybe it would get better.

Jigue blinked, a bit perplexed. "No, no, I'm not scared. I'm just not used to talking to people," he said quickly, waving his hands in front of him in emphasis and seeming to open up a little more. Maybe it was Raine's eagerness, or perhaps just his personality, but Jigue began to feel a bit trusting of the bunny. "I... wasn't aware I had looked lonely at all," he said as the subject arose again. He grumbled silently at leaving himself open like that, but then again, was it really such a bad thing?

At Raine's next comment, Jigue seemed to contemplate on the matter. If the bunny was like this all the time, was it because of others? "You really think so?" he asked, a little interested. He was always so reclusive, so antisocial, and always so... unhappy. Raine could be getting at something there. "Maybe... I could give it a try," he answered after a slight pause, smiling slightly.

((^___^ Okies! Well, I told ya! <3))

Marlon smiled at Jiki's slight blush. "You're quite welcome." he laughed. Finally, he had finally loosened up enough to enjoy himself! It was something about the fox's personality. Marlon wasn't quite sure what it was, but either way, he was definitely liking it. "Really? Well then, perhaps we have to make sure that we an see one another, won't we?" he asked, smirking.

"Really? Well, sorry for misjudging you! I guess I should watch what I say, hm?" he said, smiling as he chuckled at his own mistake. "Yeah, being with other people is fun! You can enjoy each other's company! And talk! Talking is the best!" Rain said, grinning from ear to ear. When he saw Jigue's slight smile, the short-haired bunny had to contain himself from hugging the feline.

(( Yeah, good! Otherwise I might think I said something wrong! O.o; But, your not really the type of person to take offense at the small things, so I wasn't very worried. 3nodding

Aww... Raine wanted to hug Jigue! That's cute. *whistles as she pushes Jigue toward Raine, smiling innocently* ^.^ ))

Marlon's laugh seemed to loosen any last tension in Jiki's own body, and for once in a long time he felt... relaxed. Around this bunny, he didn't feel as if he were being judged. That might have been because of the fact that Marlon may have had no idea he was a pack leader, but he liked it to stay that way. He lowered his mismatched wings slightly to hide them from view, unsure if they may give away his disposition. He smiled as he realized that Marlon would want to see him again, making his heart jump a little in excitement. So, Marlon must really be enjoying my company, as I am his, he observed, happy that he had made a new friend. "Yes. We definately should," he replied after a brief pause.

A breeze blew past the field and Jiki looked out across the horizon as if he could see the wind as it billowed. He turned his eyes to the tree he had been occupying before and turned back to Marlon with a smirk of his own. He jabbed a thumb out over his shoulder toward the maple and asked, "Would you like to sit down? It's nice and shady over there, and a good escape from this heat." Although he liked the sun, prolonged exposure sometimes caused his body to flicker with the electrical currents he was otherwise able to control.

Jigue looked toward the ground, still smiling. "It's okay. Most people don't care to know what I'm like, so at least you took a step further than that," he explained with a slight nod of his head. He didn't know why, but he was warming up to this guy. But it wasn't a bad thing at all; actually, it made him feel better, even wanted. "I don't usually talk much, so please pardon me if I'm kinda silent. I'll try to hold a conversation," he said, tail flicking at the air on top of the violin case. Not only was he opening up, but he found himself enjoying talking, something he usually drew away from. It made him wonder how Raine was able to draw this side out of him, or even how he was able to.

((Hehe!!))

Marlon's smile turned into a grin when Jiki agreed. Wow, he hadn't thought it would be this easy to make friends! He was liking it though! The bunny was truly enjoying the fox's company. And he definitely wanted to get to know him better. "Huh? Oh, sure! That sounds great." Marlon said, nodding.

Raine laughed again, smiling widely. "Well, I guess I'll just have to do most of the talking, huh? I don't mind! I have a million things to talk about! But I'd like to know more about you! Do you play that?" he asked, pointing to the violin case. He had an idea that Jigue was blind, but he didn't want to say anything. He may be sensitive about his eyesight...

Jiki grinned, nodding at Marlon's positive response. "Okay, then!" he chirped as he grabbed a hold of one of Marlon's hands and led him over eagerly. He did it mostly on impulse, for if he had thought about it he would have been afraid he may shock the bunny's hand with a negative charge to his magnetic abilities. The thought didn't even seem to grace his mind as he led the lavender bunny over to the base of the maple tree, releasing Marlon's hand and patting the tree. "This is my favorite tree. It always smells so nice, and it's rather pretty, don't you think? This is usually the reason I come here, but I guess now I've got a second reason, huh?" he explained, biting back the shyness that followed his last line. That was a bit unexpected... he thought to himself, wondering where his self-control had gone in that brief moment. Oh well, he was only speaking the truth.

Jigue cringed a little beneath his smile. "If you don't mind," he said. He really did want to be able to talk to Raine freely and without hinderance, but it would take some getting used to. He seeemd a little surprised that Raine wanted to know about him, and he caught a breath. "Really? Do you think I'm very interesting?" he said a little shyly, but in a joking manner. Although he couldn't see where Raine was pointing, he had an idea by the placement of his words. He gripped the case tightly and lifted it to his lap. "This? Yeah. I like to play in my free time, when I'm not dwelling on other things. Why? You interested?" he asked, a grin spreading on his face once more. It wasn't that he liked to show off his abilities that made him smile, it was the fact that this bunny was interested. It gave him a sense of similarity, another thing they could "agree" on.
