And the stage is set...
ICE FIELD!
The temperature of the stadium suddenly drops several degrees (just enough so breath was visual and winter-wear is needed) as the stadium floor shifts for the upcoming battle. The floor turns into extremely slick ice which makes maneuverability, even simply standing, difficult. Randomly placed crystal-like pillars reach skyward from the frozen water, reflecting the florescent lights to all sides of the battle-field.
+25 HP attack boost to ICE type attacks.

Jenk had taken a break after the battle where her rental Joltik had gone up against an Officer's Ponyta, but once the battling bug had bit, it bit hard. She found herself returning to the rental stand, hoping that the Joltik she'd had before was available.
Happily, he was. The little guy skittered right over to her, skreeing happily as he was sucked into a Pokeball and clipped onto Jenk's belt. Grinning, Jenk headed to an open stadium to wait for a partner. She grimaced at the cold temperature, and shrugged a jacket on that hung by the stadium, zipping it up and pulling the hood up over her head. Bleh. Cold.
She leaned against the rail around her platform, watching for an opponent.

The moment that River hit the cold, wintry air of the stadium she instantly cursed herself for her choice in clothing.
‘Who the hell decided on these stupid field conditions,’ mentally fumed the crimson haired ex-dancer. ‘Seriously, this stuff is so ridiculous, but--- it really would come in handy for training, even for humans. With conditions like this I could really improve my dancing skills, man, I bet there is a fire field. I could really work up a sweat --- oh…my…god…’
Pale blue hues shot open as River caught a glimpse of her opponent, even though her limbs ached with the unsettling chill that was beginning to sting her exposed flesh, she couldn’t help but gawk at the blonde bombshell across the way.
“Damn,” verbosely stated the lithe framed trainer as she plucked a red and white capturing device from her narrow hips. Unhooking the pokeball from her belt loop the nineteen-year-old redhead twisted her mouth into a gregarious smile however it was her dilating pools of blue that betrayed the neutral, pleasant expression. “Hey, beautiful, my name’s River. Lets warm things up, huh? I can‘t stand a pretty lady getting cold, I much rather like it when things get heated.”
Pressing the release button on Lookit’s pokeball with her long, willowy fingers River summoned the zubat onto the stadium field. Chattering loudly the pudgy purple fur ball fluttered noisily in place, tipping his wings in a downward swoop Lookit flipped tail over ears displaying his formidable dexterity.
“How about a wager, sexy? If I win, you let me take you out to dinner. If you win I’ll do anything you want.” Suggestively bargained the fiery haired youth.

Jenk jerked back into awareness when someone came climbing onto the platform across from her. Aw, gawking. That was adorable. She grinned slowly, and straightened up, plucking the rental pokeball out of her pocket. "You look a little cold!" Her eyes gleamed a little. "Tell you what; if you want to forfeit now, you won't freeze your tailbone off?" Jenk practically knew the trainer across from her wouldn't take the offer. She hoped not.
She rolled the pokeball off the tip of her fingers, releasing the Joltik. It screeched upon hitting the cold floor, and its fur immediately fluffed up. Cold Joltik was cold! It spun around, and skree'd at Jenk, before leaping and turning in the air towards the zubat. JOOOOLTI.
Jenk grinned at the Joltik, and looked back at River, eyes gleaming a little. "I'm Jenk. And I'll take that bet." Why not? The whole point of the move was experiencing new things. And if 'new things' meant being hit on by another trainer, what the heck.

"Lookit, lets get things started. Use Toxic!" Loudly demanded the crimson manned teenager in a firm voice that was still laced with a bit of husky lust, she refused to say anything else to this woman, this amazingly attractive peice of a** that just begged to be--- no she wouldn't say anything just yet, she needed to get the blonde on the ropes. Make her beg. Ooh how she wanted to hear this woman beg.
Shrieking, eager to please his owner the overweight purple furred winged beast zoomed forward baring his fangs and hissing dangerously.

Jenk's eyes widened as the Zubat's fangs sunk into the poor Joltik. While the spider managed to rip away and scramble back, the damage had been done. Joltik shook as the poison attacked him, letting out a pained 'tiiii', but straightened up. The little trooper.
Jenk eyed the Zubat, thoughtful, and then grinned. Why not lead with the best foot? "Joltik, let's get this rat outta the sky. Electroweb!"
Joltik scrunched himself up, fur practically vibrating with electricity, and then it shot a web at Lookit, the electric current racing up and down it as it shot forth.

River physically winced when the high spirited joltik retaliated viciously, recoiling with disgust the lithe framed former dancer covered her mouth with her slender fingers. The scent of sizzling fur flooded the redhead’s nostrils nauseatingly so, almost as if the smell was meant to mock her even further.
Poor Lookit.
The pained sound that escaped past his curling lips was at such an intense octave the note was indictable by human and pokemon alike, a silent scream that echoed off the walls of the stadium unheard by anyone except the electrocuted winged beast.
“C’mon Lookit! We are tougher than that,” comfortingly shouted his trainer in a voice that was strained with barely contained emotion. In the back of her mind she scolded herself, she knew he was stronger than she herself was. She would have to treat him to some potato skins and hot wings when this was over. Maybe some gummies too if he managed to pull off a miracle. “Venoshock now!”

Even Jenk had to wince at the scream. It seemed to scramble the poor zubat; his next attack missed by a fraction, but Joltik was fast enough to miss it. It skittered back towards Jenk's platform then spun around, raising its legs and lowering its fangs threateningly. Joooolti!
"Sorry!" Jenk called over to the trainer. She knew how bad it felt seeing Joltik get hurt; the bad part of battling, really. But the apology was left by the wayside after that. This was a battle, and she planned to win.
"Alright, Jol, sucker punch!"
Joltik raised on its legs, and skittered towards the zubat, running to the left and then shifting suddenly to come from the right, aiming its claw right at Lookit.

Dear sweet god! Could they not get a break. This was something that they both needed. Without this, without these battles they wouldn’t get stronger. “Don’t worry about it, gorgeous!” Nonchalantly retorted the teen, her tone broke as if a sob was quickly rising up her throat. Regardless of what she said, it was most certainly not something to not worry about. Tucking the tips of his wings as soon as the joltik’s claw collided with his pudgy midsection Lookit hissed warningly towards the fuzzy spiderling.
“Zuuuuuu! Gaawww gaaa!” Angrily threatened the podgy purple pokemon in a manner that was aggressive and almost frightening.
Pushing herself up onto the tips of her toes, standing perfectly poised as if she herself were going to leap onto the field and prevent the next attack herself River flicked the tip of her tongue across the chilled metal of her lip piercing.
“Lookit, try it again!”

This time, the hit struck, and it struck hard. The Joltik let out a pained screech, skittering away from the zubat after the attack, and shook himself off. Once more, the poison raked through his system, but it seemed to be the last of it. Of course, the 'last' of it was the most damaging. With a grimace, the little Joltik swayed upright, and bared his fangs at Lookit.
Jenk grimaced, and looked thoughtful, then she smiled a bit. Almost serenly. "Joltik, slash!"
The little spider came skittering back at the zubat, practically dancing in a half circle around the bat before it leapt up, slashing at Lookit with its claws.

He had eaten things bigger than this little nuisance, and yet here it was putting up one heck of a fight! As the claw ripped across his middle Lookit dove downward trying to lessen the damage taken however the strike had already connected, hard.
Smirking almost cockily from across the stadium River couldn’t resist running her slender fingertips into her long hair and posing in the most attractive way she knew how. Jutting her narrow hip at an angle the punk-stylized trainer called in a honey sweet tone towards Jenk. “Hey gorgeous, feel like giving up yet? If I was you I sure as heck would. Just sayin’.” Fluttering her eyes closed, completely amused at the turn around of her handsome zubat, he really was out doing himself. She could feel her chest swelling with pride. “Lookit, I think this baby needs a nap! Use Hypnosis!”

Grinning, almost laughing at the girl's jibe, Jenk shook her head, eyes gleaming. "What, and let you get off easy? I don't think so!" She watched the Zubat try in vain to put the Joltik to sleep, but it was a no go.
Ohhh, so sad. She was having fun, though, and didn't much spare a thought to the miss so much as the next attack. "X-scissor!" The Joltik chirped his approval and skittered to the zubat, crossing its claws before attempting to strike Lookit.

The sexy trainer actually used a Bug type attack? Well that was a break for both her and Lookit. Taking the brunt of the attack the pudgy purple zubat plunged and hit the icy cold ground with laboured breathing. He was beyond exhausted, so very tired and in so much pain. Lifting his head up and letting out a tiny squeak, his large ears drooping pathetically.
Cocking her hip to the side River placed her hand on her narrow, bony side letting out a deep sigh. Regardless of how attractive the other woman was there was no way that she was going to woo her if she didn’t really push her attacks. “Enough of a break, Lookit lets use Air Cutter!”

Using a bug move had been a grant of mercy, really. That, and Jenk wanted to see how the move would work. She was pleased that it struck, and grinned encouragingly when the joltik spun around and clicked its claws together. "Focus, Joltik!"
But it came too late; Lookit managed to send vicious wings at the Joltik. Try as he might to get out of the way, Joltik was struck by the winds, and let out a pained tiii! as he was blown backwards.
Jenk watched, eyes narrowing a fraction, until Joltik got up. Then she grinned. "Thatta boy, Joltik! Slash!"
The spider pokemon gave an affirmative Jolti! before running at Lookit, leaping up to slash wildly at the zubat.
