Roll an Eight: City Streets Field: Broken tar and faded yellow lines make up the “street” that runs down the exact center of the battle field. On either side of the road are sidewalks with pieces of concrete here and there. Fake building walls, complete with broken glass windows and grime lining the surface, limit the amount of maneuverable space on land. Trash cans and trash bags decorate the street. A sewer grate nearby continually pours a stream of fog into the air which, unfortunately, helps spread the horrible stench of the trash. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to POISON type attacks.

Genesis stepped into the stadium, nose wrinkling when the randomized field turned to one that resembled a dirty, sewer-infested street, with authentic smells added on top. Still, she had come here for a reason, and she wasn't going to leave simply for this. Her latest catch, a Rattata, had claimed the battlefield for too long, and it was about time she finally let her other Pokémon have a go again. Keeping her eyes on the field and wondering how her Lucario would fare with such limited movement for a large Pokémon such as he, she motioned for him to enter.
Erebos obliged, the bridge of his nose creasing for a moment as he neared, his sensitive smell harming him more than in helped here. Shaking his head with a rough snort, he stayed on his toes, trying to get used to the smell before his opponent arrived so it wouldn't distract him during battle.

Alex swore under his breath as he stepped out onto the stadium field. City field. Again. Excellent. He heard his rental Rattata, Alexs favourite of the rental species, whimper in his arms. The smell was acrid and sharp for his human nose. He couldnt imagine what it would be like for pokemon. "I feel you there, Rattata." Alex dropped the pokemon to the ground and walked over to his opponent. "Ugh. This is the worst field." He said, a grimace on his face. Alex managed a smile despite the smell. "Alex. Nice to meet you." He held out his hand in greeting.
The Rattata perched best she could on Alexs shoes, trying to get away from the grimy streets. She peered at Eerbos, head cocked to the side. Her red eyes were wide, bright, and inquisitive.

"Hey," Genesis returned, a smile on her face. "Name's Karin. Looking forward to battling you," she replied, shaking his hand. She used a fake name, as she always did, especially now when she had been coming to these Stadium battles so frequently (where else would she find so many able opponents so quickly? Although she hadn't liked the event promoting the Stadium at first, she had come to depend on it for easy access to real, brutal training).
When her opponent moved to his side of the field and their Pokémon were ready, she gave another wave, keeping up the act. Then, quickly, she said, "All right, Lucario! Let's start off with Calm Mind!"
Erebos returned the Rattata's look. However, the color of their eyes was where the similarities ended. He felt little curiosity towards the other -- he had come here enough times to know what to expect: a battle, brief words, and then the inevitable departure. They hadn't come here to make friends, after all.
Still, although his gaze was calculating, more cold logic than warm emotion, it was not cruel or presumptive. He knew even a common Rattata, rental or no, could best him.
When the battle began and Genesis spoke, he did as requested, glad for the start-off. It allowed his mind to settle somewhat, despite the smell still wafting around, and he could feel his power increse.

Alex contemplated his opening move. He was a rookie trainer, still learning the strategies and techniques involved in battling. But from what he had seen, stats moves were usually a pretty good one to open up with. Alex furrowed his eyebrows. "Rattata, start with Rock Smash."
The Rattata twitched her whiskers, waiting for the first command. The cold look the Lucario had given her put the rental pokemon on edge. She wanted to get started and beat this sorry canine up.
At the sound of Alexs command, Rattata leaped into the air towards Lucario, flipping around and using her tail to try and smash into him.

Genesis could tell that, when the Rattata hit Erebos square across the face, it would affect him for the rest of the battle. She frowned.
"Burn it!" she cried.
Erebos was forced back some steps by the strength of the Rattata's attack, the bruise forming on his cheek doing little to express the weakened state the rest of his body was in.
Shaking himself, he ran at the Rattata, trying for a Blaze Kick.

50 Burn Damage
Burn it? Had she seriously said burn it? This girl was crazy! Alex watched as the Rattata was knocked back by a fiery kick. She had come away with a nasty looking looking burn. "Alright then, lets hithim with another Rock Smash!"
The Rattata gently licked the burn on her shoulder. It was still smarting intensely. She clicked her teeth together and jumped at Eerebos again, intent on some revenge.

"Follow it up with Cross Chop!" Genesis called across the field.
Erebos was pushed back once more with the intensity of the attack, although managed to keep his position. While the Rattata was still close to him with her use of the attack, he attempted Cross Chop.
