Rolled a three: Grass field: The breeze from the stadium air conditioners rustles the flat grassland arena that has replaced the default stage. Small clouds of harmless pollen fly through the air from the breeze. The land is completely flat, making maneuverability easy to those build to walk on land. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GRASS and BUG type attacks

Cara walked out onto the field with Rio by her side. She surveyed the field, quite happy that she had a somewhat normal field type for once. Sure it wouldn't really help Rio out any but at least it wasn't freezing cold. She stepped out further into the stadium's arena and took in a deep breath before looking down at Rio. She smiled at her partner and bent down to his level. "You're gonna do great buddy. Don't forget to just do your best, that's all I ask of you." The Lucario nodded and butted heads gently with Cara before making his way out onto the field.

Flint strolled into the stadium with Maya resting on his shoulder. From her perch Maya examined the lucario, she had fought one of these already and had lost. but that didn't mean she couldn't win this time, she just had to choose her actions carefully.

Cara looked up from her spot in the trainer's box to see the other trainer enter. "Hi there! You ready to get this battle started?" She called over. She spotted the Emolga they were facing on the trainer's shoulder. It was definitely cute, but as she had found out previously, cuteness was deceptive. Cara and her Persian, Dante, had lost to an Emolga two days earlier and she wasn't about to lose again...well, she wasn't planning on it anyway.

Flint nodded " yep, were ready when you are!" he called back and Maya sprang from his shoulder and glided to the grassy field. " you get the first turn, make it count!" he said with a friendly smile

Cara smiled. "Alright then." She looked to Rio. "Let's start off with Bulk Up." Rio nodded and focused his power. He started tensing up his body in order to raise his defensive capabilities.

Cara sighed. Paralysis...again. Rio's movements were slowed by the static like charge of the paralysis as he waited for the next move to be called. Cara decided. "Use Rock Tomb!" She called out. Rio started focusing his energy and suddenly rocks jutted up from the earth and shot out towards the Emolga.

Flint let out a sigh of relief at the paralysis stopped the Lucario's attack. " Maya, use charge beam to increase you power!" he called out and Maya started to build up her strength

"Ok Rio, lets try that again." Cara called out, she was not going to be deterred by that blasted paralysis. Rio once again used Rock Tomb. He closed his eyes and an aura surrounded him. Rocks started floating in the air and when Rio opened his eyes, they shot straight for Maya.

Maya dodged the attack by jumping into the air and gliding above the rocks. " Maya use Thunder!" Flint called out and Maya began the attack

((ok, first off is damage calculation...))
[(100 base damage + 50 ATK - 50 DEF)] + 0 FIELD BONUS = 100 Damage Total
Cara winced as Rio was hit with the strong electric attack. It was a good thing she had gotten him to raise his defense. After the attack, the static charge that went with paralysis dispersed and Rio's movements were more fluid and natural. 'Good, Paralysis has worn off.' Cara thought to herself. "Use Bulk Up again Rio!" She shouted out. Rio again tensed his muscles, raising his defense.
