The tan mare drug her legs lazily as she trudged along the edge of the darkening forest. She was exhausted from all the traveling she had been doing. Lyrica had been on the move for three days straight with no rest. Her eyes drooped shut. She had a set destination, but looking at the trajectory of the moon and stars, and the fact the grass was slowly turning into sand. Though, it wasn't that sand she was hoping for. This sand was hot and dry, indicating that she was headed for the desert, NOT the ocean. A deep sigh came from her mouth as the sun's cruel rays continued to be down on her covered back. Lyrica knew she needed to turn around, but she was to tired, and didn't want to take the energy to do a 'U' turn and head back for the ocean. The boat she was suppose to be on had probably already left, and she she would have to wait another six weeks when she arrived at port, just for the next ship to arrive. A growl of frustration bubbled up from her throat as she finally found a small clearing she could rest in. No, it wasn't anything elaborate, with a spring to drink form, which did disappoint her, be it did have grass. Something she hadn't seen in a long time.

Lyrica's face lit up a bit more as she pranced over to the tall grass and nibbled on it slightly. It was much better than the twigs and dry leaves she had been living off of for the past three weeks. Once the tall mare had, had her fill of grass she laid down in it, hopping it would be soft enough to take a small nap in, but she wasn't particularly picky about comfort at the moment. She took her belt off that held her blade and took her coat off to cover up with. She laid down, her leg collapsing under her as she laid her head down and closed her eyes. Grass was the best thing she had felt in a long time. A gentle smile spread over her lips and she tried to rest for a half hour or so.

Eitan had taken another one of his trips to the desert visiting the place of his birth or one like it. His home desert was much further away for he traveled far in his young life searching for the home he lost. He hadn't given up persay, he just wasn't looking for the lost family but more so he was finally looking to move on....searching for his true place in the world.

Still the desert and the sands were familiar to him, though he had become fond of the Kawani lands he still liked to be reminded of how he got there. There was nothing like the feel of the sand under his hooves. Now he was heading back as the sun had set and the desert could turn even more dangerous at night. But he was close, he was now near the small spring that he stopped at so many times on his longer trips, but arriving there this time he found an interesting sight.

There appeared to be a mare laying near the water with something laid over her, she looked exhausted. Eitan couldn't tell from his short distance if she had fainted or not so he rushed the gap that remained between him and the spring to check on the fallen mare. The desert could indeed be a dangerous place and for one to not know where your going...she was lucky to have gotten here. "Are you alright miss? Are you injured?"

Lyrica laid there a bit longer, wanting to stay in the dream state forever, but she knew herself that it would never happen. She had to keep moving. A moment later she lifted her head slightly and stretched her neck. Being in a foreign land was a bit intimidating to her, so her guard was always up. Lyrica closed her eyes one more time to see if the bit of peace that was with her earlier would come back, but sadly, it did not, on two counts. One, she felt to need to keep driving forward and the other was because she heard a voice of a stallion that almost made her jump out of her skin. She shot up on all for legs, letting her coat slide off of her. Wide eyed, she nodded slightly, not wanting to approach him, a bi cautions of him at first glance, but he didn't seem to cause a threat. " Y-yes, I'm quite alright. I've just been walking a long way in the wrong direction and was a bit exhausted, so I decided to rest here a bit before I continued on my way again. I'm sorry for resting here if this is your land." She spoke up in a loud voice, observing the brown stallion as she slid her coat and belt on.

It has been a while since she had been in contact with someone. Little lone a stallion. For the most part she had only traveled by herself. She was surprised. But that didn't seem to fit the moment. She was a little bit taken of guard. But she liked the feeling of meeting others, so it was okay to be talked to. Lyrica bent down and took a sip from the small spring as they stood there quietly, continuing to watch his movements.

As the mare shot up what appeared to be coat slid off her lighter skin to the ground. She seemed very startled, but seeing her quick reaction made Eitan rather relived as it meant she was indeed alright. He gave a light smile as he observed her movements and her posture, she was indeed not one born for the desert.

"I see....", it was a short reply to start with, but he was quite and observant by nature and he was trying to figure out why she would continue to travel in the wrong direction if she knew if was wrong. "Im glad to know you are alright, please rest where you like, there is no better place for quite a ways. And the land belongs to none but the earth....it is not something that can be possessed." It was true after all, he believed they were all born from the earth and if anything they belonged to it, he felt as if he was part of the desert and he could lay no claim to any part of it, not in that sense.

Lyrica watched the stallion carefully, but seeing that he looked more relived that she was alright told her he was no threat to her really. And it didn't look like he wanted to hurt her. She noticed the smile from the other Soquili and smiled back kindly at him. Her head was held high and she certainly didn't mind returning a smile that was given to her. She looked around slightly at the dry place she had laid and took a few steps closer to him. " You see?" She asked curiously. It seemed like he was going to say something else for a moment, but he didn't, so she only shrugged off the thought.

" well, if you're glad i'm alright, i'm glad that you worried about me." She gave him another kind smiled and listened on to what he was saying. It was very wise. Just like something her mother would say, or something that she would have read right out of a story book to the foals. " A-ah~ I see now. I just didn't want to get murdered for trespassing. There are others out there that won't hesitate to slit a throat or two over a small piece of land. It's quite ridiculous actually.~" She chimed, chuckling slightly after it.

She looked around one more time before sighing quietly. The desert was a harsh place to be. She just wanted to feel the wet sand under her hooves again. And one more look at the stallion that was in front of her told her that she should head back in the right direction " I take it you're from around these parts huh?" She asked him curiously, squinting her eyes as the the sun hit her red eyes directly.

Eitan smiled when the mare smiled again, she had seen the question that lingered behind his eyes it seemed but she didnt press it. He found that interesting as others he had met were forward and would press the matter, but she did not. It was then his eyes went wide with her words and mention of those that would murder...slit ones throat.

Though the words she spoke were true he didn't expect the words to come from her so bluntly but it was then he noticed the sword that laid on the ground where she had been laying. She seemed to know of what she spoke, though unfamiliar to him, in a way it was refreshing. "Quite right, and it is very ridiculous...I fight to protect the land from ruffians like that. That's why seeing you earlier I was worried you may have had a run-in or a number of things, but it seems your more then able to take-care of yourself.", he gestured to her sword still laying on the ground.

He smiled again at her question and bowed his head, "Yes, I guess you could say that. I've become accustomed to this desert. It's much like the desert I was born in. Forgive my manners Miss, Eitan...Desert wanderer at your service." He spoke the last part with a chuckle as he lifted his head with a bit wider smile.

Lyrica chuckled lightly and watched as his eyes widened at how blunt she happened to be with the words that she had told him and shrugged to herself lightly. The words that had came from her mouth were simply ones that she had encountered everyday, and she did not find that to that strange at all. She figured, for a mare she was rather blunt about things and wasn't like the others to sugar coat how she felt or what she had to say, but that was a trait form her dad that she had inherited. No, she didn't have an issue with it, but it could be a turn of to others, and sometimes even her.

The tan mare watched as the stallions gave was directed to the blade that laid on the ground, at her side at one point. To her, the blade was everything. Protection, a helpful tool, a guardian. It was just one of those things that she needed in her life. One of her bare niceties. Her attention was averted back to him as he spoke. " I think myself that it is terribly barbaric that some would go to that length, but ti can not be helped. You have those out there. We all have our own customs and beliefs~ I suppose.~ It is nice to know that there are other like you thought, that at least try to fight back about it instead of letting those savages getting away with it. the tawny mare nodded slightly and grinned happily. It was the first time in a long while that someone had noticed her. And, Lyrica wasn't complaining about it either. She was almost sick to her stomach about being alone.

" You don't have to worry about it though. You're very right that I am able to take care of myself.~" She picked up the cutlas and put it back into it place at her side and gladly took a few steps closer. Maybe, we was going into the same direction she was, which almost made her exited about it. As he bowed his head she smiled at " ah, I see. You know these lands well then? Being born in the desert must be a treat. I bet it was a lot of fun~ She chirped happily, bowing her own head at his introduction. " And I am Lyrica, born on the west coast of the Pacific Sea. It's a pleasure to meet you, Eitan~" She lifted her head back up and grinned back at him. " so..where you be headed?" She asked curiously, titling her head to one side, her light British accent bleeding into her speech.

He nodded as she spoke of the savage ways some could be in the world, it was truly a sad and pathetic thing. He almost blushed when she complimented him though, but he 'smoothly' shook his mane as a light breeze past through it to try and hide the fact. He just wasn't used to interaction with others, but he was liking her company already, needless to say he did find her attractive.

He watched in fascination of the finally crafted blade as she placed back at her side. It was a fine tool indeed, though he was a warrior or fighter and protector in his own way the beauty of a sword was mesmerizing, but perhaps too deadly if used incorrectly. He then returned his gaze to the mare as she gave her name. He smiled again, he was doing a lot of that more then he had a long while. "The desert posses many threats, but many treasures as well once you know where to look, yes. And I have come to know this land fairly well though I had no set coarse. I was headed back towards the forest...., he spoke with a joy in his voice as he took a step closer to her. Upon hearing her name he stared into her eyes and even his eyes smiled as no name could suit her better and a blush appeared on his face that he could do nothing to hide, "Lady Lyrica, a name as melodious and beautiful as you and your voice. Your parents named you well."

Lyrica sighed quietly and gave him a chessy grin when he shook his mane out. to her, It was kind of cute that a little flattery could get to him like that. She wasn't exactly used to all the contact either, still considering herself a little rusty on her communication. She was though enjoying what little time she had already spent with him. And, she did think he was rather good looking for a desert stallion. He kept himself in good shape.

The tall mare glanced at him a few times as he stared at her blade. He seemed very into it, when it was only a simple heirloom for her. Something that was passed down to her from he fathers side of the family. Indeed, it was a nice use of protection, but it was also a helpful tool and rather handy for hunting for fruits that were higher up in the trees. When he looked into her eyes she couldn't help but to feel a little intimidated, but she still insisted on giving him a gracious smile in return. he seemed like a rather fine stallion, and a wonderful Soquili to spend time with traveling." aye, I see what you mean by that. There can be beautiful things out there. you just have to dig is all~. And that's good to know. I have to head back that way. I was too tired to turn around, I needed to find a place to rest, though you are traveling that way as well, and I have to go that direction to reach the port i'm suppose to be at, would you like to come with me? She asked curiously, watching as he had approached her and they were only feet from each other.

When she noticed his reaction to her name, she blushed lightly at the same time the stallion had. It was rather sweet that he would compliment her name on such level. And she thought that simple things like that couldn't get to her. She was wrong though. " Why thank you sir Eitan. And what a fine name that you have been given as well. It suits you. She smiled a tad wider, to where he mouth almost hurt and chuckled a bit.

He continued to blush and smile as he stepped back to give her more space again. He smiled a little wider when she asked for him to join her, he was afraid he might have scared her away with his awkwardness. He just wasn't used to being around other, let alone pretty mares. He perked up a bit, "Why I would be honored to accompany you dear Lady....", he started with a bow and then chuckled as he rose and smirked. "...besides, I can't risk you getting lost again now can I. i wouldn't be able to live with myself."

He was sure if he pointed her in the right direction she could find her way, but he wanted to get to know her better, interaction with another soul was good for his own after all. "You mentioned a Port? Your heading towards the sea again? One place I've yet to see and travel is the great Sea...I bet it's beautiful..."

Lyrica watched as the stallion stepped back, looking at him curiously. It was strange that he had backed away., but the smile to her question, indicated that the answer was probably a yes. She know it was a little awkward for the both of them because his people skills were about where hers were, which didn't weird her out any. They both felt strange around each other, but she was almost positive that it would change.

When she noticed his personality change, she raised her head a bit more, smiling back at him. " And I would be happy to have you a s a travailing companion. It'll make things a bit more...not so quiet." She chuckled as he bowed, not expecting him to be so formal with her. Though, when he brought up the next subject, it was a little more embarrassing. " I-I wasn't lost. I knew I was going the wrong way. For e I was just simply exhausted. And I'm sure you would live just fine." She chuckled lightly again"

The tall, tawny mare walked past the brown stallion and look both ways, already getting confused. She really didn't want to leave him in her dust, so she waited for him. " why yes, I did mention it. And I do plan on heading back out to sea~ And You'll be seeing it soon if you hurry your rump up..And Maybe if you're lucky you can travel it with me too~ She smiled at him again and started on her way in the right direction " It was a wonderful place to grow up. It was loads of fun to travel with my father when he went out. But it didn't happen often. And i'm glad I grew up like him~. She mentioned, strutting away.

Eitan smiled and stood by her side as she blushed embarrassed at the mention of getting lost. He couldn't help but smile and comment to himself how cute she was. Realizing he was staring too much he cleared his throat and starred off in the direction they needed to travel. "It would an honor to accompany you. It would indeed be 'not so quiet'"

He chuckled using her exact words as he glanced around them at the dessert one last time and listened to Lyrica's words. She had started moving again and he pretended not to notice her slight confusion on which way to go as he just smiled and walked beside her and started heading west. "Right...well off we go then. I would love to travel with you on the sea, there you can be my guide as I have been for you here and I'd love to get closer to you" Realizing how that sounded he stopped his face red and stuttered, "I mean getting to know you more, becoming better friends and what not....ya just getting to know you more as a whole is what I meant."

His face was still red as he started moving again and distracted himself by picturing the sea as she had described it and he tried imagining growing up there, the polar opposite of where he grew up. "It sounds like a wonderful place, but completely different from here. You make it sound so exciting and wondrous to see. I can not wait to share the experience with you.....the ocean shouldn't be too far we should get there just after day-break.", he said with a grand almost giddy/excited smile as they started off. He couldn't wait to see the oceans and seas and he was especially glad to have Lyrica to show him and be with him. Such a short time and already he felt a pull to the mare.

And so the next journey begins.....To the Oceans and Seas.

Lyrica looked up and smiled when she noticed him staring, then watched as he acted like he wasn't. She thought it was charming that he would have those kinds of manners for a stallion. most of them she ran into had been completely rude to her, or at least the ones that she had run into. The tawny mare chuckled and let her eyes follow him as he walked off casually. " Thank you very much my good sir. I would love a traveling companion. She said quietly, following behind him a few steps. She felt like she should have lead, but giving directions was always good to her too.

The tall mare rolled her eyes playfully as he used her words to get back at her. She let him do as he pleased, but only because she was not forcing him to go with her. He came on his own, by her side, willingly. As they headed in the right direction, setting aside the earlier directional complications, they were on they way to the ocean. " I can tell, and I'm excited to have you by my side. It feels good to not be alone anymore. aaand get closer to me? Hmm?" She giggled and watched as he blushed and stuttered. "mmmhmmm that's exactly what you mean" She teased him, nodding slightly "yeah, I know what you mean~ Because i want to get closer to you too." she purred out happily.

It didn't bother her that he was a bit awkward at first, a matter of fact, she thought it was really cute, and sweet of him to say such things, but she figured that she would keep those things to herself. " yeah~ it was really great. It was so nice too, and I bed you had a lot of fun. You must have had a wonderful experience as a colt~ And I'm happy to have you tag along, and can't thank you enough~ she nodded and looked straight a head, watching the sun. She was impressed that she could already have feeling for the stallion. But she brushed it off. Maybe it was the fact that she was just seeing a soquili for the first time in months.

Their journey would be continued at the sea, and she would find out if it was love or not.
