It was that time of year again; the time when Thona left his pride to find new pride members, as well as easily tricked females. It seemed as if it had been a long time since Thona left his pride, but it hadn't. Of course when things were boring, it seemed to last longer. He flicked his tail as he moved slowly threw the tall grass. He could easily hide, but he didn't bother. There was no reason for him to conceal himself. In fact, he wanted to be noticed.
It made looking so much easier when they found him, instead of him finding them. It cut the time in half. Of course, it did leave it open for him to run into those he didn't want to. Though, wasn't like he couldn't handle himself. In fact, he could handle himself better then most, especially at his age. He knew he was getting old, but he didn't feel it yet.

 The dainty young lioness sat at her favorite pond, gazing up at the sky and wistfully wondering if that special someone was looking at the very same cloud. She was growing up and encouraged to leave the family whenever she wished. Her sister had already left to find a pride of her own... but Pikushi was afraid to be alone. She clung to her mother and her "grandfather", fearful that she would have no one if they were separated.
Pikushi flicked her brightly colored tail into the water to destroy her melancholy reflection. There's no need to be sad now, because soon her one true love would appear and she would never have to worry about being alone again.
The movement of tall grass caught Piku's attention, and she perked up to see what it might be. Could it be... ? A brilliant smile stretched across her face and she stood up to get a better look. He was definitely a handsome feline... "Uh... Hi." Her voice was shy and quiet, and Piku's white fur tinged with red as she giggled and waited for the male to respond to her.

Thona stopped. He could have sworn he heard someone. He hadn't expected someone to find him so fast. He yawned, then looked in the direction of the voice. To his relief, the voice was carried out by a female. He had ran into some very female sounding males. Of course, that wasn't something he enjoyed to remember. A grin popped upon his face as he moved towards her. She wasn't what he normally went for, but she'd do. His tail flicked.
"Why so alone?" He asked as he looked around the land. He put on a friendly face. It was a game, a very good game, to Thona. The best part of meeting females, was tricking them to think he was their prince charming. Or whatever they needed at the time. Of course, he did have a short temper when it came to some females. The ones that don't let him trick them.
"It's too nice of a day to be alone." He moved closer to her, getting a better look. She was young. That made things even more great. She wouldn't expect anything sinister to happen, and would probably trust most anything he said through his lying teeth. Oh, the day was becoming much better.
